Neither Rachel nor Marco had any real trust in the medical situation they'd both been forced into. It seemed like they had been tricked and betrayed; and it meant that there were instantly a few more people crossed off their list of who they should trust when they escaped. In fact-- it left them at each other, it seemed, when they did escape from medical, two cockroaches slipping out of sight while medical was distracted from them.

Of course, this was compounded by the fact that several communications posts went up shortly after-- one announcing a Quarantine (thankfully they'd gotten out in time for that) and one announcing their abilities to the crew to warn them. And then things got worse-- Marco's morphing began to get weird, and Rachel... literally split into two.

This wasn't going well.

((ooc: As Blue's OOC post said, we need to make sure that only the people signed up for taking the two 'groups' (Nice Rachel and Marco in one corner, just Mean Rachel in the other) to Quarantine are the ones who actually do that. Other than that, feel free to try and do it! Tag under the header for whoever you want to thread with and feel free set the scene, and ours will enter in. :) ))

"But, like, that's what I did?" Rachel offered, and actually took a step back from Ax now. He was definitely acting weird. "It's only happened once." Why was he acting like this was weird, or new or whatever. But he had a point about Marco! That'd be just awful! She didn't want Marco to die!

"But, like, we can't trust them," she said, a little cautious, but clearly confused.

Marco hovered, staying completely still when the stalk eye was looking his his direction. Then the moment when the eye looked away, Marco heaved the brick, sending it flying straight at Ax.

< Yes, it did only happen once, over one of your years ago at the point Stacy pulled me from the time stream, and longer for you, > Ax answered. < And yes, we can trust them for the most part. The people here have encountered Yeerks before, and-- >

He would have said more, but a brick to the head has a strange tendency to interrupt speeches with quiet time.

Rachel let out a startled yelp as the brick hit Ax in the head, and he, naturally, stopped his explanation.

"Ohmygod!" she shouted, shocked. She hadn't expected Marco to do that. For a moment, she forgot that she was supposed to be not trusting Ax. She rushed forward to make sure he was okay.

Marco winced when the brick hit - he really hadn't wanted to have to hurt Ax - but they still had to go our of here. "Come on, we're going to need to go," he said, walking over to Nice Rachel. "We can't be here when he wakes up."

"Um, okay," Nice Rachel said, kind of nervous-- she was worried about what they'd just done. She wasn't supposed to be the scary one! "Is he okay?" she asked, quietly.

Marco hovered for a moment, looking down at Ax. "He's breathing," he said, seeing Ax's chest rise and fall. "So he's not dead. He'll be fine once he morphs." He quashed down the guilt he felt from hurting Ax - but once they found a way to fix whatever brainwashing had been done to him, he'd understand. "Let's get out of here."
