Neither Rachel nor Marco had any real trust in the medical situation they'd both been forced into. It seemed like they had been tricked and betrayed; and it meant that there were instantly a few more people crossed off their list of who they should trust when they escaped. In fact-- it left them at each other, it seemed, when they did escape from medical, two cockroaches slipping out of sight while medical was distracted from them.

Of course, this was compounded by the fact that several communications posts went up shortly after-- one announcing a Quarantine (thankfully they'd gotten out in time for that) and one announcing their abilities to the crew to warn them. And then things got worse-- Marco's morphing began to get weird, and Rachel... literally split into two.

This wasn't going well.

((ooc: As Blue's OOC post said, we need to make sure that only the people signed up for taking the two 'groups' (Nice Rachel and Marco in one corner, just Mean Rachel in the other) to Quarantine are the ones who actually do that. Other than that, feel free to try and do it! Tag under the header for whoever you want to thread with and feel free set the scene, and ours will enter in. :) ))

She'd heard what had happened, and ran out of the library, looking for Marco. She found him, with another girl, and she took a breather, sighing.

"Marco, wait! What are you doing? you have to go back to med bay!"

"I told you, I don't need healing," Marco said, scowling and backing away. Although by now, even he was beginning to admit that he needed...something. He didn't know what. Normally Ax was the one he'd ask about his morphing trouble, but Ax...who knows what had happened to Ax?

"It's beyond just healing," Kaya said, and by now she's very worried. "Please, just come back. There's something go wrong with you, and it won't get better if you're running around like this! Won't you come back to the med bay?"

Nice Rachel had to admit that there was certainly something wrong here-- even she could notice that. Marco was definitely not morphing right (and it was freaky and gross), and she was all panicked and split into two.

"But we're okay! People are saying that we're, like, a threat or something but we're not!" Okay, well maybe the other her was-- but they definitely weren't going to hurt anybody!

"Exactly," Marco said, watching Kaya closely. "See, I'm fine, Rachel's, fine," ...okay, so Rachel wasn't really fine, but like hell he was going to tell Kaya about that. "So stop trying to tell us we need to get locked up for your supposed 'treatment'."

She had really, REALLY had enough of Marco's mouth for today, and had it not been for Eva's feelings she would have stalked off and punched him and dragged him to the med bay. But she had a job to do, and likely she'd be needed soon.

"Do you know how many times I've been on this ship and had something spread? Some disease no one could see, or some treat that people didn't know about until it was too late? Stop treating me like your enemy, I'm here to help you!"

Oh god, what if they really were sick? It was a really scary thought, and Rachel did her best to not start crying right then and there. Marco might have gotten mad at her if she'd started crying! And she didn't want to get put into Quarantine with people who really were sick!

"But, like, we're not sick! And if you put us with sick people we'd totally get sick!" Hopefully the logic would help.

"Can you prove you're not our enemy?" Marco said. "You were awful quick to go and tell Sakura to knock me out before. Why the hell should I trust you, when you haven't done anything to suggest you're trustworthy?"

"To be honest, I don't see why I should apologize to you," Kaya said. "I'm trying to get you to stay, you KNOW I don't like the Yeerks and you are the worst patient ever. If you stayed put, I'd be looking up the cause of what's been happening and be done with this. You act like staying in med bay to babysit someone who won't get treatment is fun for me. In case you couldn't tell, we're the same age. Do I look like playing mom is fun for me?"

"I don't want a goddamn apology," Marco growled. "And you still haven't answered the question of why the hell I should trust you. Because the way I see it, there is no reason why I should."

"You should because I care more about the welfare of the crew then anything, whether it be Yeerks or Council members or people who can't take the advice of a medic!" Kaya snapped. Really, was he going to continue fighting her over this stupidity?

She was really hoping Eva was better after this.

Nice Rachel was freaking out a little-- why did everyone keeping fighting with them? They just wanted to be left alone and stay away from the med bay! It wasn't like they were doing anything really wrong.

"But, like, we can't trust the Yeerks and they're totally terrible!" So they couldn't trust someone defending them. Right?

"And...what? You think that counts as proof? For all we know, you're just trying to say whatever the hell you think will get us into Med Bay." Marco said, trying to ignore how weird it was to hear Nice Rachel acting like the air-headed valley girl that Rachel had never been.

"It's pretty obvious I want to get you to med bay!" Kaya thundered. "We established that! The question you ought to be asking yourself is what do you possibly think I could want to...oh never mind!"

She looked at the Omnicomm, then shook her head. "Look, there are going to plenty of people who'll need my help, not just you two. Will you just stay out of trouble? It looks like this is more than just a single thing."

There was already going to be people looking for the two of them...and she had to get her butt to Medbay but soon.

"But we're totally fine!" Rachel protested. She didn't want to get put into Quarantine, that was for sure-- certainly not when, as far as she was concerned, they didn't need to be.

Nice Rachel nodded quite emphatically, then, as Kaya asked them to stay out of trouble. "We'll, like, stay to ourselves and everything!" she promised. Of course, with the scary-her around...

Marco glared at Rachel. "It's none of your business what we do," he said. "But if it makes you feel any better, we don't plan to go around around making a scene. Since we'd rather not get locked up."

"If you hurt yourself, its my business, so lose the attitude," Kaya said icily, "But if you hurt anyone else, then it become security's business. See you later."

She shook her head, exhaling. She'd make a vows that when he did get better, she was staying as far away from Marco as possible. No patience in the world could give her the strength to not want to punch him.
