The Rebirth of Veronica (Phase One)
[ooc: PLOT POST IS HERE! Read it!]
He stalked through the hallways like a shadow, moving too quickly for anyone to keep a bead on him for long. There almost seemed to be a purpose in his movement as he made his way through the dark corridors of the ship, though it was impossible to tell where he was headed. Perhaps the young man whose body had been hijacked was exerting some kind of control, or perhaps Veronica was doing the driving.
Whatever the case, the Tyrant made his way to the City.
He emerged from the tunnels and into the wide open space, at last free of the cramped hallway. He took a few steps into the streets and sniffed the air, smelling human blood. He roared, a horrible and twisted noise, then headed into the streets.
She demanded they all bow to her. They were little more than prey for the Queen in the grand scale of things. These thoughts rang hollow in a primal mind, though, but he knew what he had to do.
They would all die.

People in the City
Hi, meatship! His name's Tyrant!Steve! What's yours?
Re: People in the City
It wasn't working out too well.
"THIS WAS A BAD IDEAAAAAAH!"
Re: People in the City
...which leads him to the City. Crawling as fast as he dares along the ground, the noises above have him both wary and confused. Still, with his Stone entrusted to his Bonded, Renne reminds himself that he has a duty. To this ship. To his Bondeds, to understand the crisis and deal with it accordingly.
The voice above him however, doesn't lend confidence. Hopefully said voice isn't about to fall. Renne makes a terrible catching-cushion.
"Eeee?"

Re: People in the City
"There you are... I've found you."
Nanoha had promised Miku and Luis she wouldn't act rashly, but... she had faith in her own monster-fighting skills. If she could capture Steve non-lethally before he hurt anyone else? So much the better.

He didn't notice the light at all. Looking up was a bit difficult when your back was twisted downwards. Though that did make stalking for prey a lot easier, and the creature was rushing through the streets in search of the first unfortunate, squishy little humans who would be his victims.

He made his way through the city. His destination? Not very important, since as he wasn't aware of quite yet, he was going to be a bit deterred.
no subject
"Deterred" was putting it lightly. Yzak had not made it far before some hulking, screeching horror came tearing out of the alley off to his left. He paused momentarily, stared the man down, then with a furious roar he lunged at him, clearly intending to smash him into the nearest piece of pavement.

Re: People in the City
She hadn't expected to meet this...thing, but there it was, and it was scary. What was worse was she recognized the person too: it was Steve, the bots he'd argued with a few months ago. She wanted to help with loading people into the hotel, but now she was concerned with what might happen with Steve. What if he was hurt, or hurt someone? He was already distrustful of the ship, imagine if something bad happened that he couldn't control?
She closed her eyes, and quietly brought some water from the river that was Haku's home. If she could somehow freeze him in place, maybe she could get help in getting him restrained, so that he could be contained in the med lab.
"Come on," she whispered. "Get a little closer."
no subject
And closer he got, as he smelled someone nearby. He turned the corner and caught sight of the girl, staring her down with blood red eyes that showed nothing of humanity or intentions-- just primal, uncontrollable rage.
He roared at the girl and stomped towards her, claws poised to take her out.

Mentally, Irma sighed. This would have been a perfect time for some Guardian action.

Re: People in the City
Dismounting his bike, he continued with, "So...how shall we handle this?" He reached behind him and pulled out a white buckle: His DecaDriver. Placing it on his waist, a belt began extending around him, with a book (the RideBooker) appearing attached to his left. He reached down, and pulled open the buckle, a slot that was on the right side of it now moving to the top.
Pulling out a card, (http://media.photobucket.com/image/Decade%20card/guyveraxe/decade-card.png) he said, "Are you going to come quietly, or am I going to have to knock you unconscious first?"
Reversing the card and slotting it into his Driver, the belt rang out with "Henshin." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kLoC3lkKsA) Tsukasa said, closing the buckle.
sounded out, and ten Grey versions of a suit with a "X" on the left side of its chest appeared in a semi circle around him. After converging upon Tsukasa, he was clothed in a black suit and helmet. Then, holographic cards appeared out of his buckle, moving toward his face and forming a crown. Magenta and white sections appeared on his suit, and his eyes "activated" with a green glow a second later.
Grabbing the RideBooker on the left side of his belt, he reached for the bottom and tilted the edge back forty-five degrees, transforming it into the RideBooker's Gun Form.
"Well?" Decade said, pointing the gun at him. "What say you?"
no subject
ROAAAAAAAAAAR, say him.
The Tyrant was not particularly impressed by the fancy display, immediately charging and swiping to squash the human flat.

Re: People in the City
So armed with his beloved gun "Vera" the muscular man wandered about the city with half a mind to find some abandoned building to take a nap in. That was how not worried he was about the concept of a single monster rumbling about the ship. After all he'd seen how much trouble could one monster be?
Re: People in the City
But his luck wasn't with him today. Not in the least. He walked past a side street and heard a low, threatening growl. Turning around slowly, he found himself less than ten feet away from something very big and very ugly.
"Son of a bitch...!"
Wash turned and ran. Oh look, there was Jayne. Jayne had Vera. "Jayne there's a thing shoot the thing! Run and shoot the thing!"

Landing on a roof near him, she called out as re-assuringly as possible, "Steve, we're all worried about you. Please, calm down."
no subject
The Tyrant glanced up at the rooftop and his eyes narrowed at the sight of the woman who'd formerly escaped him. Her words seem to bounce off him meaninglessly, with only a vague tilt of the head at the name.
He stalked a little closer to the building.

"Okay, Dustin. See if there's any injured and get out of here."

He was quite tall and green, for one thing. He stalked out of a nearby alley and tilted his head at the human as though examining him.
Your move, tiny man.

In the Contagion Lab/Engineering
And does it involve a high-powered plasma cannon?

Project Gunsmithery
Since the orders were given, Billy had focused all his creative energy on imagining ways to build the weapon. Obviously the shot would need to be powerful enough to stun someone as large, energetic, and angry as Steve's new form. It would also need to act quickly, before the monster could retaliate.
With that in mind, he summoned any available engineers and frowned. "We don't have too long, but I have a few base designs. I have the injection covered, but I need help with the stunning mechanism."

RUNNIN' RUNNIN' RUNNIN'
Maybe that's why her vision was tunneling to show her a path that would get her where she needed to be. She didn't know exactly where in the City Claire and Leon would be, and hoped that her arms wouldn't give out. Even though she was used to running around with photo equipment, it'd been months, and it was starting to pull on her arms. Miku stopped to catch her breath and adjust the gun.
Why couldn't there be just a little more time?
FLEEEEEEE FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES
It hadn't taken long to figure out who.
He'd followed his instincts, as he had half a hundred times before. So when he saw Miku, holding a gun, Luke knew he was on the right track. "Miku!" he called out, jogging the last few steps. Even from a distance he could feel her urgency and her fear; the feelings spiked when he put a steadying hand on her shoulder, then subsided as he pushed them away for the time being. "Miku, what's going on?"
