The Rebirth of Veronica (Phase One)
[ooc: PLOT POST IS HERE! Read it!]
He stalked through the hallways like a shadow, moving too quickly for anyone to keep a bead on him for long. There almost seemed to be a purpose in his movement as he made his way through the dark corridors of the ship, though it was impossible to tell where he was headed. Perhaps the young man whose body had been hijacked was exerting some kind of control, or perhaps Veronica was doing the driving.
Whatever the case, the Tyrant made his way to the City.
He emerged from the tunnels and into the wide open space, at last free of the cramped hallway. He took a few steps into the streets and sniffed the air, smelling human blood. He roared, a horrible and twisted noise, then headed into the streets.
She demanded they all bow to her. They were little more than prey for the Queen in the grand scale of things. These thoughts rang hollow in a primal mind, though, but he knew what he had to do.
They would all die.

Stuck for the moment, he stared her down, seething with rage.

"You don't want to do this Steve," she said, trying to calm herself down. "Think about the people you could hurt. Just...try to remember the people. They're scared. We could help you!"

And the mutant was currently engaged with her. She landed next to Katara, hand on her sword. She managed to overhear Katara's speech. "Do you know this person?"

She hoped. He looked like he could crush the both of them.

The Tyrant roared viciously and continued thrashing, though so far, to no avail. Now there were two humans there, mocking him by standing so close. Didn't they know Veronica's strength?

She thought she was reaching him: he hadn't gotten out yet. Maybe that was why, for the moment, she let her guard down.

Ooh. Bad call.
One good thrash more and the Tyrant came tearing out of the ice, in no way hindered by the fiery blood still trickling out of a few minor injuries on his body. Free of his containment, he immediately charged at the two humans, longing to crush them into paste in his hands.

She moved in front of Katara, drawing her Katana knowing that she was far more durable than the human youth.

She brought some water out now, hoping if she batted Steve down with a water wave, he would be stunned enough to be frozen again, and hopefully contained.

And he was clearly not very happy about it. Roaring in fury, he turned and charged again at the two, swiping his claws when he was close enough to strike.

She closed her eyes and maintained the ice. It had to last!

The Tyrant was not pleased at the whack in the elbow, either, howling in what sounded like a combination of rage and fury. As he charged again, the dome of ice blocked him from causing any serious damage.
For the time being. He roared viciously and began clawing and slashing at the ice. Small droplets of water began to drip as splatters of his blood burned up against the dome's surface.
He would smash it and everyone inside of it.

If she could disable it, then when it became this Steve person again, he might be in pain, but he would be alive and he would have done less damage. If she could even manage that. His blood was... off and his strength was clearly intense.

She shot them at Steve in random intervals, hoping to at least knock him off balance so he wouldn't be able to get Nanashi too much.

Looking back, she would have seen him pacing, sort of moving around in place as though fighting with itself. Then it turned tail and ran in the other direction.
((If you'd rather find me a reason for Nanashi to not heal her, let me know?))
Maybe it still had some humanity left in it after all.
She let it go, more concerned about Katara's wounds for the moment. Her heart beat seemed stable, but that also meant that that wound would be bleeding more. She pulled out her wakazashi and used it to slice open her wrist and let drops of blood fall into the wound on her shoulder, making it begin to close. Once the wound no longer seemed like a threat she stopped.
She wiped the hair from Katara's face and softly called, "Katara?"
If she didn't wake up, she would have to bring her to someone who could heal what she couldn't.
