The Rebirth of Veronica (Phase One)
[ooc: PLOT POST IS HERE! Read it!]
He stalked through the hallways like a shadow, moving too quickly for anyone to keep a bead on him for long. There almost seemed to be a purpose in his movement as he made his way through the dark corridors of the ship, though it was impossible to tell where he was headed. Perhaps the young man whose body had been hijacked was exerting some kind of control, or perhaps Veronica was doing the driving.
Whatever the case, the Tyrant made his way to the City.
He emerged from the tunnels and into the wide open space, at last free of the cramped hallway. He took a few steps into the streets and sniffed the air, smelling human blood. He roared, a horrible and twisted noise, then headed into the streets.
She demanded they all bow to her. They were little more than prey for the Queen in the grand scale of things. These thoughts rang hollow in a primal mind, though, but he knew what he had to do.
They would all die.

It's a bit hard to shoot with a howling mutant in your face. Harder still when the mutant slashes at you with viciously sharp claws, trying to knock you away so he can deliver the killing blow.

He rolled to the side to avoid any other immediate attacks, and forced himself to deal with the stinging on his arm and his side as he pushed himself back to a crouching position. And then, as risky as it was to move closer to the tyrant, Yzak made a daring leap to try and roll between his legs to give himself enough time for his next attempt at something.

Now, Yzak had to make sure it was still following him. He fired another shot, aiming to miss.

And as though wanting to show off how upset he was that the human had outmaneuvered him, the Tyrant rushed after him faster than seemed possible and thrashed out with a fist, wanting it out of his way.

But Coordinators were a lot faster than normal humans, too. And with the dull throbbing in his arm in addition to what he already felt, Yzak knew it was getting close to do or die. So with a rush of adrenaline, he sprinted straight ahead as fast as he could toward a building. He didn't didn't bother to look back over his shoulder to see if the tyrant was following him-- he knew well enough that it probably was.
The moment Yzak made it to the building's wall, he quickly turned to see how close Steve was behind him. And focusing as much as he could to try and time it right, Yzak would attempt to jump out of the way from the charge in hopes that Steve wouldn't be able to stop without hitting the building and slowing himself down as a result.

But he wouldn't be held up for long.

The Tyrant extracted itself from the rubble and after a moment of looking around, couldn't see any sign of its prey. After a few minutes it seemed to have lost interest in the pilot, heading down the street in the opposite direction instead.

But there was something more important to take care of right now. Yzak reached for his omnicomm, quickly sending out a message to the others.
