[open][Go ahead and start new threads if you want and I'll have B.B tag them, he'll be here all day]

Beastboy was for the most part a highly emotional boy, running on lots of energy, irrepressible cheer and a sense of humor that was...unique at best.

But sometimes...sometimes he needed time to think and be quiet. Usually he could do that while playing game station, reading comics or going for a flight.

Today however despite his lack of desire to socialize he had energy to burn. That creepy robo chick had teased him with cake and gotten him all worked up, only to drop him just in time to find out he'd missed a huge fight.

So being the responsible and intelligent hero he imagined he was, Beastboy decided he needed a little training to get back into the swing of combat.

The Sensoriums were awesome in his opinion, like a giant do it yourself video game.

So the scene? Jump City streets just outside the his favorite Pizza parlor.

The enemy? Sladebots! The best for cannon fodder, they were robots so he didn't feel bad about stomping them flat, and they were just scary enough to be a challenge.

This was his right? No way he could lose...

***

Within ten minutes he was being rolled down the street by the over zealous Sladebot projections...his imagination was running away with him.

I couldn't resist, and I always love drooling hypnotised Beast Boy icon!

Katara, who was feeling a little better about being social at the moment (talking to others helped), and wandered into the Sensorium looking for some rest and relaxation. She should have expected someone here, but she hadn't expected to see robots rolling a green person down the street. She would get the info later: she closed her eyes, breathed in, and put the projections on ice pronto, and those NOT iced were promptly dispatched with ice discs a moment later. Robots may have been future thing, but these ones paled in comparison to Terminator robots: the Nightamre King was pretty cruel.

She rushed over to him, patting his face to try and wake him up. "Hey, are you okay?"

Katara bent over to get a closer look. She had never met anyone green all over, she didn't think, except maybe Braniac. She brought some of the water out of her pouch and splashed some lightly on his face.

"Are you okay?"

Whoa! Did he just change into another animal? A green one?

And then it occurred to her.

"Oh, you're Beastboy!" She exclaimed. "Hi! i was talking to you about cake earlier!"

[identity profile] kaya-waterwave.livejournal.com 2010-07-02 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yup that's me, the watertribe 'chick,'" she said, mimicking his words earlier, but not with malice. "So how come you're getting attacked by all of these robots in the Sensoriums? What are they?"

But once it changed, Katara raised an eyebrow. Well. That was interesting.

"A pastry world?" Well, that made sense and she could see Sokka loving it there.

Oh cool. Robots and pizza. Just the way he wanted to spend the day.

"Need a little help?" called out Matt as he sauntered into the Sensorium, hands in his pockets as he watched the BB-log being rolled down the street.

[identity profile] lackofdarkwings.livejournal.com 2010-07-03 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"I can believe it," replied Matt as he aimed and snapped his fingers, the motion purely aesthetic in nature. A gout of fire blew the Robot Ninja that attacked Beastboy into a pile of charred cinders as it detonated from inside out. "They seem like a pile of mooks to me at any rate."

"That's the fun thing about the sensoriums. If you let your imagination run wild, it'll beat you up doing so." added Matt with a grin. "I'm Matt Olsen. Nice to meet you."

"I can believe it. This is a fun way to train though I admit that," said Matt, snapping his fingers again and blowing a hole in the Robot Ninja ranks, destroying those who were stupid enough not to dodge.

"Superhero group I take it then, Teen Titans?" inquired Matt as he kicked one that came too close.

Shore leave was certainly interesting, to say the least. Not just for the final day, for that matter. In fact, the second day still had her in quite the shellshock (although she wouldn't admit that out loud). Whatever had gone between her in the Colonel during that simple conversation, it was obvious that the feelings behind there weren't purely professional. And that was no matter how much she'd prefer it otherwise. (Although, thinking on it, she wasn't sure she'd care for it the other way, either.)

For now, however, she couldn't think on it. With the recent events had certainly gone under critical aim training, especially since she felt she could have hit more accurately (a sane person might try and tell her otherwise). Currently, however? She was walking with Hayate, once more trying to completely familiarize herself with the ship. Said pup was doing all he could to try and run forward a little bit until his master said something, to which his ears would fold down for a minute before perking back up and trying to walk proudly. This was done to a lot of rolling of the eyes by Riza.

However, as they passed the Sensoriums the pup decided to stop and nose his way to get in.

"Hayate," the woman said sharply as he pulled her in the room.

However, she stopped at the sight of a very... more advanced city than she was used to and whatever the creatures were that were rolling a young man down the street. While her hand went for the gun on instinct, Riza's eyes narrowed. Soldier's instinct both acting and analyzing, the gun was prepared but it was likely to be a training session (considering she used this room for such, and she had heard of others, as well as the fact it did seem offensive). She was more than certain the ship would have said something if there was truly something attacking. So it took a minute of watching before she sighed slightly.

Riza recognized the boy too. They had spoken through text only, but the image was tell-tale and she doubted there would be many green people on the ship. Holding tight to Hayate's leash she spoke.

"I certainly hope these aren't the tactics you mentioned, Garfield," she said in a casual dry-humor, "...do you need assistance?"

[identity profile] carrycorpses.livejournal.com 2010-07-05 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
At his response, Riza nodded shifting the gun into one of the makeshift holsters (yes, even on ship Riza did not go anywhere without two guns). Hayate, on the other hand hunched down and let out a small growl as Beastboy transformed into the huge dinosaur. While Riza was reminded of a certain homunculi for a brief moment, she had remembered what the boy said and with the small noise of command silenced Hayate and gathered the pup up in her arms.

If he had been making anymore noise still, it was definitely gone.

For now, Riza kept her eyes trained on the boy-dinosaur as he attacked the robots. This was certainly interesting, at least. Still Riza being Riza, she kept quiet until he was done.

Riza rose a brow, shaking her head to herself. Taking a moment, she returned Hayate to the ground where he sat, wagging his tail cheerfully. Friend to play with?

"I'd hope so, considering there doesn't seem much of a chance for us to leave any time soon," she returned straightening, with the small thin-lined, just for, you know, kids smile.

Laurie is a little surprised to be transported into such a strange scene, especially strange with the Sladebots popping out here and there, and for a moment, she thinks Blade Runner? Before breaking into a run after the green thing that they were rolling down the street.

"Hey! Wait! Stop!" She waves her arms in the air, not exactly the brightest thing to do, but she recognizes that green thing well from that night that she shared a dance with him.

[identity profile] terribly2shy.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 03:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh my!" Laurie quickly rushes to help Beastboy to his feet, pausing to give the Sladebots cross looks (that's right. Fear in terror a little girl's mean glare!) "Garfield, are you alright? Here, lean on me," she takes his arm and puts it around her shoulders.

"They were rolling you down a hill like a bunch of bullies!" Again, she gives the Sladebots a cross look. "You imagine that sometimes?" It seemed strange, but then, she's on a ship that eeks Strange.
