Beastboy was for the most part a highly emotional boy, running on lots of energy, irrepressible cheer and a sense of humor that was...unique at best.
But sometimes...sometimes he needed time to think and be quiet. Usually he could do that while playing game station, reading comics or going for a flight.
Today however despite his lack of desire to socialize he had energy to burn. That creepy robo chick had teased him with cake and gotten him all worked up, only to drop him just in time to find out he'd missed a huge fight.
So being the responsible and intelligent hero he imagined he was, Beastboy decided he needed a little training to get back into the swing of combat.
The Sensoriums were awesome in his opinion, like a giant do it yourself video game.
So the scene? Jump City streets just outside the his favorite Pizza parlor.
The enemy? Sladebots! The best for cannon fodder, they were robots so he didn't feel bad about stomping them flat, and they were just scary enough to be a challenge.
This was his right? No way he could lose...

Within ten minutes he was being rolled down the street by the over zealous Sladebot projections...his imagination was running away with him.

I couldn't resist, and I always love drooling hypnotised Beast Boy icon!
She rushed over to him, patting his face to try and wake him up. "Hey, are you okay?"
Fufufu~ Always happy to provide.

"Are you okay?"

He quacked and flapped his wings in confusion before his head cleared and he changed back grinning sheepishly.
"Uh...hi...thanks!"

And then it occurred to her.
"Oh, you're Beastboy!" She exclaimed. "Hi! i was talking to you about cake earlier!"
no subject
His overactive imagination shifted the world around them to look something like candyland, with giant cakes all around.
"...dude I love this place." He laughed.

But once it changed, Katara raised an eyebrow. Well. That was interesting.
"A pastry world?" Well, that made sense and she could see Sokka loving it there.

"This is my home! Or...at least what my home looks like." He held his arms out displaying the projections around them, "And the Robot dudes were like, badguys that I had to fight alot back home."

Jump City. She was always really blown over by other people's worlds, especially their cities. It always looked like some crazy super future place, with the skyscrapers and flying machines that actually weren't run by helium.
She looked around, marveling at how different everything was.
"Ok then! How about we beat some bad guy butt then?"
no subject
Only to be knocked through the air by a the room's projection of a massive hulking man with red hair and gold and black armor.
The Green teen flew through the air only to meet the thick boot of a pink haired girl who kicked him back to Katara.
Also joining them was a short bald boy with goggles and a green jumpsuit using big mechanical spider limbs from a pack on his back.
"Aw man...I really ought think these things out better." Beastboy joked standing up.
As if to spite him more of the robot ninjas lined up behind the trio.
"Seriously Jinx would kick my butt if she knew I included her with the baddies." He added and just like that the pink haired girl vanished.

She brought her hands up, and a wave of water came at the robots, washing several of them down the sewer with a flourish, the rest she took out quickly via ice shards. It wasn't a move she would ever have done to
a human or a sentient robot, thinking of B5.
"Can you take that big guy?"
no subject
He shifted into a bull and pawed at the ground with his hoof snorting.
The big guy just grinned and braced himself.
With a roar Beastboy charged forward horn down...before shifting into a snake and shooting between Mammoth's legs.
As the massive teen tormentor spun around confused Beastboy rose up as a Kangaroo and slammed both his powerful feet into Mammoth's chest sending him flying.
no subject
"That was pretty excellent!" Katara commented. "So you're a superhero too, huh?"
no subject
Mammoth was coming back for revenge and Beastboy almost casually turned into a T-rex and turned to snarl at Mammoth...who proceeded to scream like a girl and run away.
no subject
Far less amazing, and more frightening, was Beastboy's transformation. She HAD seen a T-rex before, but considering they'd had to take it down, Mammoth wasn't the only one running for cover.

"I'm right here!" She said, waving. "Sorry about running...we had to fught one of those things a little while ago, and well, it wasn't pretty. THey're pretty hard to take down!"
She walked over to him. "So what's thsi team like that you were talking about, the ones on that island?"
no subject
He shifted gears almost instantly, "Oh we're called "The Teen Titans!" He proclaimed proudly, as he began to describe them one by one the room produced images of Beastboy's team mates striking poses...
"First we've got my main man Cyborg, half man, half machine, all buttkicking awesomeness! He's got like this big powerful sonic canon on his arm and his robo parts can do tons of cool stuff! Rocket arms, night vision, jet boots, he's also has this totally awesome car that gets blown up alot. He's my best friend and we hang out like all the time!"
"Next there's Raven, she's kinda creepy sometimes but she's really smart! She does all this crazy dark magic stuff and reads all these big thick books. She likes tea, and being left alone, but she's totally brave and strong and has fought all her life to do the right thing and prove that it doesn't matter where you come from, just what you do."
"And there's Starfire, alien princess from another world! She's the strongest one on the team, can shoot starbolts and laser blasts from her eyes Pew pew pew! She's a little weird sometimes because of being from another planet and all but she's the nicest sweetest person you'll ever meet!"
"And last but not least, our leader Robin! Sidekick to one of the world's greatest detectives he's struck out on his own and made a name for himself! He's a one man army using like all kinds of crazy kung fu and ninja skills, tech and tactics, and look at that hair! Way stylin! Also he and Starfire just started dating so their kind of like when celebrities hook up or whatever."
With all four of them on either side of him he spread his arms out and more and more teen heroes appeared behind them including the pink haired girl from before, "And in the last year we started recruiting more young heroes from all around the world, there are Titans on ever corner of the globe! No matter where you go, when there's trouble you know who to call!"
At least a hundred kids and teens from as young as toddler to nearly adult were spread out in different colorful costumes, some smiling, some looking serious. Each one striking a heroic pose save for one, a blond girl in plain clothes standing off to the side looking a little sad. If Beastboy realized he'd materialized any of them he didn't show it.
Nor did he notice that he was speaking of all of them and his world as if they still existed and the OHM hadn't destroyed it all.

Katara watched him describe each of the members of his team with glowing pride, and it actually made her a little happy. She knew exactly what he was talking about: Zuko, Sokka, Toph, they were her team, her family. She didn't get to see them much, and that was sad: she missed being around them, talking with them about things they knew about. It was as if they'd become strangers, and she wanted that to end.
"Well, it looks like your friends wanted me to see them!" Katara said, pointing to them, and then pausing at the blond girl. "But who is that?"
no subject
The imagination versions of his friends laughed with good humor at his wild eyed surprise and it took him a moment to process who Katara was looking at.
"Ah I...oh..." His voice fell and he looked a little ashamed, "Ah she's not a Titan anymore...long story." He waved his hands trying to dismiss the crowd of visions who seemed to mock him by waving their hands back. "Go on beat it, show over!" He flailed and laughingly they dispersed.
no subject
But she couldn't help but notice his reaction to that blond girl. She knew the reaction pretty well: it was the same type she had whenever the subject of Jet was brought up. She guessed there would always be that reluctance to talk about something like that, especially when it was so personal.
But she did laugh when he dismissed his friends so abruptly. "Guess you;re still getting the hang of the Sensoriums, huh?"

She laughed a little when he turned into the small bird. "We don't have any of those things where I'm from Beastboy. Most nation have their own kind of recreation: sports, active games, bending."
