Beastboy was for the most part a highly emotional boy, running on lots of energy, irrepressible cheer and a sense of humor that was...unique at best.

But sometimes...sometimes he needed time to think and be quiet. Usually he could do that while playing game station, reading comics or going for a flight.

Today however despite his lack of desire to socialize he had energy to burn. That creepy robo chick had teased him with cake and gotten him all worked up, only to drop him just in time to find out he'd missed a huge fight.

So being the responsible and intelligent hero he imagined he was, Beastboy decided he needed a little training to get back into the swing of combat.

The Sensoriums were awesome in his opinion, like a giant do it yourself video game.

So the scene? Jump City streets just outside the his favorite Pizza parlor.

The enemy? Sladebots! The best for cannon fodder, they were robots so he didn't feel bad about stomping them flat, and they were just scary enough to be a challenge.

This was his right? No way he could lose...

***

Within ten minutes he was being rolled down the street by the over zealous Sladebot projections...his imagination was running away with him.

"I certainly hope it appears professional,"she responded with a thin lined smile still in tact. Especially since that was what she worked so hard to keep at.

She rose a brow at his question and chuckled with a shake of her head. "As much as the Colonel would probably like to tease about that, not alt all. These four are the rest of our team," she finished, "the ones that aren't here, anyway."

Unspoken, she thought to herself: It's been a while since everyone was in the office together.

Riza smirked some.

"Paperwork, actually," she responded in serious humor. She slowly made her eye around the room, eyes falling on Havoc's replica with a mirthless frown at the second Lieutenant's smoking habit. But she shook her head.

"We had our moments, of course," she responded closing her eyes as she reached her familiar desk, a desk Hayate had already curled up under unamused by the Breda replica's panicking. "But as soldiers it was our job to make sure things stayed safe for the population, of course that means stopping uprising and murderers... but for the most part, there was a lot of paperwork for our group," she finished carefully, "and a lot of work for the Colonel."

She looked up at the boy with a slight shrug. The words were toned to imply that with the Colonel there was much more work than paperwork when it came with the Colonel, but the rest wasn't away from the truth at all.
