Beastboy was for the most part a highly emotional boy, running on lots of energy, irrepressible cheer and a sense of humor that was...unique at best.

But sometimes...sometimes he needed time to think and be quiet. Usually he could do that while playing game station, reading comics or going for a flight.

Today however despite his lack of desire to socialize he had energy to burn. That creepy robo chick had teased him with cake and gotten him all worked up, only to drop him just in time to find out he'd missed a huge fight.

So being the responsible and intelligent hero he imagined he was, Beastboy decided he needed a little training to get back into the swing of combat.

The Sensoriums were awesome in his opinion, like a giant do it yourself video game.

So the scene? Jump City streets just outside the his favorite Pizza parlor.

The enemy? Sladebots! The best for cannon fodder, they were robots so he didn't feel bad about stomping them flat, and they were just scary enough to be a challenge.

This was his right? No way he could lose...

***

Within ten minutes he was being rolled down the street by the over zealous Sladebot projections...his imagination was running away with him.

Hayate moved closer at the motion, still the pup was wary.

Riza, quietly, examined the masked teenager that had appeared at his name. After a moment, Riza returned her eyes towards Beastboy to listen. She frowned some and shook her head. "That seems to be some sort of general idea. Huge buildings and creations to draw attention," she looked towards the tower, "but I believe in my home it was more a symbolism of power; militaristic country power."

She returned her eyes towards the male. "But of course, we had different ways of doing things," she said, and by we she meant her own team. After all, they worked under a man who guised to be a playboy just so they could be "covert".

"Still... I highly doubt I'll ever get used to seeing cities such as these."

Before Riza could even speak, of course, the city was turned into an even larger one. Indeed, this one looked a lot more hightech than the one they had formerly been in. Amber eyes were sharp at the offset of items. Strange.

"... I see then that my idea of impressive is quite minimal to these standards," she responded casually, eyes falling tot he cat a moment...

Who Hayate, instantly recognizing the species decided they'd play cat and mouse. Unfortunately for him... "Hayate," the sharp rap of his master's voice called him back to attention, and he sat in the proud stance.

Even better? Riza's eyes had only looked down once as when she said the command she had returned to eying the city.

"He has to be," she responded in a tone that meant she would have it no other way.

Ah, Beastboy, dear, you are probably moving much to fast, but if you are Riza doesn't show it as the Hawk's Eye pays a careful attention to all the details and words the male said. When he paused and asked her about her own world, Riza's thin line expression changed. "You know, I never would have thought all these words were so incredibly different. Most of these things you have shown me are impossible and illogical for my home, or at least... perhaps the time," she spoke evenly. The bright city lights, too, were much unaccustomed.

"If you really wish to see, and allow me to, I suppose I can show you," she finished as Hayate retreated to her side.

She gave a small smile. "I think that's a common goal amongst everyone here, actually. Restoration, at any wait," and she looked at the city one last time with a thought.

"Let's see if I can get this properly..."

But before she finished, the room of Central Headquarters appeared that had once been the "team's" room. In fact, the "people" she envisioned, Fuery, Breda, Falman and Havoc wouldn't have been there--she herself either-- if this wasn't the team room. But despite the men working in the background in the familiar memory, they were closer to the window that looked outside to the huge bustling city of Central. Everything in the city itself looked like it was from the early twentieth century.

She folded her arms, looking outside as Hayate spotted a "friend" and tried bounding up to the figment Fuery (and of course the thought, subconsciously, spouted an afraid Breda).

"I think that's about right," she said carefully, "sometimes it's easier to remember the city from this perspective. This would be the Central Headquarters of Amestris."

"I certainly hope it appears professional,"she responded with a thin lined smile still in tact. Especially since that was what she worked so hard to keep at.

She rose a brow at his question and chuckled with a shake of her head. "As much as the Colonel would probably like to tease about that, not alt all. These four are the rest of our team," she finished, "the ones that aren't here, anyway."

Unspoken, she thought to herself: It's been a while since everyone was in the office together.

Riza smirked some.

"Paperwork, actually," she responded in serious humor. She slowly made her eye around the room, eyes falling on Havoc's replica with a mirthless frown at the second Lieutenant's smoking habit. But she shook her head.

"We had our moments, of course," she responded closing her eyes as she reached her familiar desk, a desk Hayate had already curled up under unamused by the Breda replica's panicking. "But as soldiers it was our job to make sure things stayed safe for the population, of course that means stopping uprising and murderers... but for the most part, there was a lot of paperwork for our group," she finished carefully, "and a lot of work for the Colonel."

She looked up at the boy with a slight shrug. The words were toned to imply that with the Colonel there was much more work than paperwork when it came with the Colonel, but the rest wasn't away from the truth at all.
