CEEEEEELEBRATE GOOD TIMES~

Several buildings in the City had been completely destroyed during Aang's rampage, but a few had survived relatively unscathed. It had only taken Kang two days to repair the Drunken Dragon; he'd done so by himself, not even waiting for his leg to heal up a bit first.

Usually, he didn't bother lighting any candles or using the fireplace in the tavern unless it was a period when the artificial sun had set. He could see perfectly fine in the dim light. For the celebration, though, he'd thrown the windows open wide, scrounged up every candle he could find, and started up a fire, knowing that human vision wasn't as good as his own. The tables surrounding the stage had been cleaned, as well as the tankards, and the door was propped open. The bozak had even wrestled two of the 60-gallon barrels from the back room into a corner of the main room for easier access, one of cactus juice and one of ale. If more was needed, he was sure he could get someone to help bring out another.

Tess had commandeered the kitchen to make her food, bringing in her own equipment. Kang had been slightly afraid at first that she was going to burn the place down, but nothing had happened yet. She seemed to know what she was doing, even if she'd given him a few scares.

The sunlight glistened on the old sword blade teeth and dinnerplate eyes of the comical-looking wooden dragon grinning above the entrance. Come in, relax, have a drink and a bite to eat!

[OOC note: Both drinks are alcoholic, and the cactus juice has twice the kick of the ale. :D;]

"The very same," she smiles as she hands over the beverage, "You actually remember all of those names?"

"Notes help," Kirk quipped, "But yes, I do my best to remember who's who in our little crew."

He took a sip and slipped onto a seat. "Your one of General Antilles' people, aren't you?"

"I'm a Rogue, yeah, and one of the Jedi too." she takes a slug of her drink, then sets it on the bar and folds her arms, "You should stop by one of the simulator sessions, sometime. I can't believe how fast Wedge has got some of our pilots space worthy."

"A Jedi?" Kirk raised a brow. "I've heard about them from one or two others. Some sort of... holy order, isn't it?"

He took a long drink. That was refreshing. "I might have to. Maybe I'll give it a try myself - although normally I'm more at home on the bridge of a starship then piloting a fighter."

"You could say that," she confirms wryly, "but my brother is the spiritualist. I'm just a peacekeeper with specialist training."

Jaina would argue that the liquor doesn't quite hold up to its Corellian equivalent, but after what they had just been through she wasn't about to complain, "We'd welcome it. It's nice to meet a ship captain who's willing to get hands-on with the recruits."

"I'll take whatever help I can get aboard this ship..." He shook his head and leaned forward on the bar. The crew seemed to be unified in some aspects and falling apart in others.

"Well, I like to think of myself as a very hands on captain. I need to be active - not just sitting behind a desk. Command is about the adventure, about exploring the unknown...."

"That's good," Jaina smiles over the brim of her glass, "because we seem to have an awful lot of unknown to explore."

Kirk's grin got a bit wider and he raised his glass in salute. "Indeed we do. Here's to exploring it together, then."

Oh, Jim. It's a good thing you're a military man and sort of hot what who said that? because when Jedi and drinking establishments become acquainted, that's the sort of line that results in severed limbs.

Jaina takes her own glass and clinks it against his, "Chin chin, captain."

Come on Jaina, it was said with all respect due to a woman and was not, in any way, flirting. Of course not. Kirk chuckled and nodded, "Cheers."

He drained most of his glass and set it down with a satisfied sigh. "That hit the spot."
