From Dusk Till Dawn...
...Okay, so maybe that movie was about vampires and not zombies.
But as the battle in the Vatican dragged on, it might feel like it had been going just that long.
And it showed no signs of letting up just yet.

The Roofs
Even worse, some of the more agile zombies have begun trying to climb up the walls in their search for fresh meat.
You guys might wanna take them out before they get to the top.
Re: The Roofs
"Keep firing, and shove them away." Don't need their additional deadweight causing a strain to the roof.
He flew around, checking ammo supplies, and was going to grab some more for these troops.

Re: The Roofs
She was used to actually be RESTING when she was doing this. She drew a gun. "Sir, I'm getting a mental strain doing it like this," she said to Mitchell, firing one in the head that was getting close. "I'm going to report inside. Get someone else to watch my body, so they can wake me up if things get real bad." The prime reason she HADN'T been astral was because she really didn't want her body to be unattended with a bunch of zombies around.
"I'll be back in a few minutes and see if another trick might work," she said, firing at one of the zombies that was climbing up the wall.
Re: The Roofs
And with that, Ronon started firing at the zombies scaling the wall. Red energy shots flew from his gun. Whoosh-bang. Whoosh-bang. With his sharp-shooting skills coming into play, each shot was blowing gaping holes into the bodies and heads of the zombies, forcing those hit to drop. He had no idea what Selene would have to do but he was going to make sure she wouldn't be hurt.

The Vestibule
They're also moving in towards the doors in larger numbers, seeing that a few of the crew have taken to fighting right outside, hoping for an easier meal than the ones inside.

Right Transept/Munitions
Hopefully it will last them long enough to survive.

The Left Transept/Food Supplies
Best make sure everyone's eaten, so they don't start to lose focus over something like hunger.
The Sacristy/Rear Guard
Doesn't exactly make it safe, though.
Re: The Sacristy/Rear Guard
"Where's a runner? Get to Kirk--tell him we've lost our exit! They're at the back door! And see if one of the metas can be spared to seal it!"
It's splintering now, and the bodies pressed against it will only do so much.

Outside
What the hell are you waiting for, man! They're everywhere!
Run!
Re: Outside
When he came to his senses he saw how dire the situation was. Much as he was loath to retreat, he needed to get back to the vestibules. The doors could not hold for long. And so he found himself shouting words the Son of Satan seldom uttered. "Fall back!"

Re: Outside
Coming, eventually, Arha said, her voice a blend of soothing and the fire of battle as she sliced down yet another zombie. This, she could not do like this. Keeping her balance, she cast out for Obi-Wan's presence with part of her mind while slicing down those undead who ventured within the reach of her oct-o-pooze.
Her mind arrowed out, hunting for the familiar calmness that was her Master's. He really wasn't that far away. Arha's worm bellowed and came down hard smashing several zombies.
Obi-Wan, she thought loudly. I could use some help over here if you--
Several arms tugged at her legs and she slipped, her concentration broken as she was pulled off her worm and into the undead fray.

He hated to admit it, though, but he was running down. Even with the System pushing him forward, there was no way he could hold up. He was going to make a mistake somewhere along the line and he would pay for it dearly.
Re: Outside
Re: Outside
This went against everything she'd learned in command school, every single piece of wisdom she'd managed to collect as a captain. It was epic level tactical dumbassery.
She couldn't help herself though. Pikachu was a pet.
Lafiel could not abandon a pet.

Re: Special Message
"Where's somebody in charge?" she barked at him, looking around but not apparently paying much attention to the zombies below the roof. "I need to talk to somebody who knows what they're doing. Now."

Monument to Benedict XIV
No one was coming after her, good. Her shallow, gasping breaths echoed in the chapel as she hurried through. No hiding spaces to be found here, but... there, in the next hall, there was the entrance to the dome and the monument to some dead post she couldn't be bothered to think of his name at the time.
Two statues flanked him, and she grabbed the foot of one, slowly, but surely climbing up the marbled wall, and using the pillar and cherub beside the statue as a help up. Pain made her movements slow, but eventually she got around to the back of the statue and leaned against the Pope. Her little breaths echoed in the hall, under the sound of gunfire.
Re: Monument to Benedict XIV
"Sherry?" She called, listening carefully. This wasn't any time for a kid to be by herself.
