From Dusk Till Dawn...

...Okay, so maybe that movie was about vampires and not zombies.

But as the battle in the Vatican dragged on, it might feel like it had been going just that long.

And it showed no signs of letting up just yet.

boi-Wan's head turned, homing in on that silent call even as it cut off. Damn damn damn, where was she?

"Arha!" He cried in horror, catching sight just as she lost her seat. The undead at the sides of the worm clustered, reaching gropingly towards a struggling body in their midst and it was into that mess he carved his path of burning flesh and corpses. His work was quick, but was it quick enough?

Arha was pissed off and went down slashing, the oct-o-pooze keeping the worst of the horde at bay until she heard the hum of a lightsaber, then saw it flash through as she kicked a body free. The stench was amazingly fierce, especially when the damned zombies were trying to eat her. Another few zombies fell and Arha collided with Obi-Wan's chest.

The oct-o-pooze snaked out and took three more zombies out of action as her worm bellowed and came crashing down , giving the both of them a moment of peace.

Arha was panting, despite her fine control as a Bene Gesserit.

"Meet," she gasped, "Shai-Hulud." She gestured to her larger worm and then to the Leto worm. "He's. Your transport." Arha grit her teeth and forced herself to take deeper breaths as she inspected her suit for damage. Lucky break. No bites.

And the smaller worm bowed its faceless head for the Jed-eye to climb on. This was the first time any of Leto's revenants had allowed someone to ride them since Sheeana.

Ride. Go.

"Right," The Jedi snapped, all business once he'd seen her alive and well, and whirled to cut back enough of the pressing horde to give them both the bare moment of breath needed to gain their mounts. Obi-Wan vaulted Arha's worm on light feet, then executed a neat flip onto the so-called 'Shai-Hulud.'

Now he was above the level of the writhing horde, and found he could lop off heads with relative ease compared to the grasping furor that the fight on the ground had been. He had a moment of confusion wondering how to steer the bedamned thing, but it seemed to be following Arha's lead, which seemed to be heading them towards the much-beleaguered front doors, which was a mercy. Screaming, dying, and the truly dead littered their wake and pressed their sides in impressive numbers and Obi-Wan smiled grimly. Now this was progress.

Arha moved once more, opening herself to the Force as she pulled on the reserves of her energy, and lashed out at any undead. She whirled and spun, maximizing her reach as much as humanly possible. The highly flexible oct-o-pooze was as much a whip as it was a sword, its tentacles precise as she knocked heads from shoulders. Her worm brought them closer to the doors as she nimbly kept her footing as Shai-Hulud rolled to squash more zombies. Arha found her way to his aft end where both her crysknife and her oct-o-pooze were of best use.

There was no time to be tired, now.

She had work to do.
