"Doc's also a pacifist. It's easier if I'm hitching a ride on somebody who can do the shooting if I have to deal with other crap." She snorts. "Not like I'm happy about this, either."

"Since when do you care? Don't you AI people just grab whoever and make them do stuff?" he grumps. Most of his experience with AI's is limited to Omega and Omega was never too concerned with what his host body wanted.

"I care because if I need to do something? I don't want to have to be distracted by zombies trying to pry your armor open like a can of Spam."

"Wait here." Leon had to pass word to Kirk, gather a couple more people, and do a few more things to get ready to go. He didn't need them arguing in his ear the whole time while he did. They'd be fine right there.

Waiting? Okay! Grif is good at waiting. He nods once distractedly, then rounds on Tex.

"What, like you wouldn't enjoy that?"

He's already gone, Leon. There's somebody here for him to fight with!

Tex gives Leon a nod as well, and then quickly returns to bickering. "Seeing how I'm in your armor right now? No. Because then I'd have to wait until your corpse decided to shamble to a terminal or something, and with the ways crap's been happening? Something would probably stop me from getting out, too."

"Pffft, like I want some psycho AI freelancer bitchy... whatever you are in my armor anyway!" he complains.

"'Whatever I am'?" Tex repeats, glowering at Grif.

"Yes whatever you are because I don't even know anymore."

"I'm an AI. Not a ghost, an AI. That simple enough?"

"Yeah well you're also a bitch and you suck." He's been made a little bold by her recent lack of any way to hurt him.

"Grif?" Tex sounds almost alarmingly placid. "You remember how O'Malley could possess people's bodies...?"

Her hologram blinks out briefly. Grif's fist, meet Grif's head.

"...Ow, son of a bitch..."

"Ow! Son of a bitch!"

Grif rubs his neck. The real discomfort of the blow was in his knuckles and the way his head whipped back.

"What was that for?!"

As if he doesn't know.

"Think about it, moron," Tex grumbles as her hologram flicks back on.

"Look, okay, you're sharing my body. It's mine and it has rules now. Rule one: No hitting my body with other parts of my body!"

Oh how he's scowling, Tex, if you could only see his face.

"Whatever." Alas, Grif, you're still leaving loopholes there. Like hitting your body with other things.

"Look, while he's-" She jerks her head in the direction Leon went- "-Busy, shouldn't you do something useful?"

"Like what?" he scoffs.

"I suppose we could like... not wait on Leon. Like he told us to. Because not following orders is really productive."

There's a delicate blend of sarcasm and hypocrisy going on there.

"I meant shoot the zombies through the window, moron. Or do I have to take over and do it for you?"

Grif eyes the window.

"But the window's over there," he says.

"Leon told us to wait here."

"You have a gun. A gun has range. Use it."

Grif thoughtfully watches a couple of zombie limbs flail through gaps in the window boarding.

"Does "shooting" count as "waiting"? I'm not sure if it does."

"Okay, that's it." Grif unceremoniously has control yanked away from him again as Tex's hologram blinks out and she takes over. She starts shooting at the limbs, attempting to get as many shots in before Grif makes another grab to take control back.

"Hey! HEY!" Grif flails. Well, he would flail if he currently had control of his limbs. He's... not entirely sure how to get it back, either.

This is WEIRD!

"Fine. FINE! I'll shoot the #$%&ing zombies, just give me my arms back!" he yells.

Tex's hologram blips back in as she gives control back. "There. Now stop yelling and start shooting!"

"Fine. #$%&ing freelancer AI ghost whatever the @#$% you are..."

Grif shoots half heartedly out the window at the zombies.

"Why are you so excited about these things anyway?" he grumps at Tex.
