...Okay, so maybe that movie was about vampires and not zombies.

But as the battle in the Vatican dragged on, it might feel like it had been going just that long.

And it showed no signs of letting up just yet.

Nathan had been running back and forth, but he was also armed with a shotgun. Came in handy for aerial attacks, like right now. Getting harder to get headshots with some of these angles.

"Keep firing, and shove them away." Don't need their additional deadweight causing a strain to the roof.

He flew around, checking ammo supplies, and was going to grab some more for these troops.

"Yeah, good idea!" Robert let up his machine gun fireunable to depress the weapon enough to fire at the climbers. He grabbed up his rifle and opened fire at the climbing zombies, sending a few falling to the plaza below. He paused a moment, then pulled the pins on a pair of grenades, rolling them off the edge in the hopes they might take a few more out.

Robert wasn't the only one using grenades. A few feet further down, his bazookoid lying beside him, Lister is dropping grenades down onto some of the dead in his section.

By the sounds of it, he's also awarding himself points for each kill, and as he drops a grenade which manages to land in the open mouth of one of the dead, he gives himself a little cheer.

A climber pokes its decaying head up, and Lister gives what might be described as a girly shriek, before booting it in the face on sheer reflex. There is a crack, and the grasping hands go limp, before the climber slithers back off the roof, and judging by the thump, takes another with it.

"Can't be kicking all of them, any advice?" he asks anyone who happens to be listening.

"Got an e-tool, maybe? Or a rifle butt? Or even a bayonet?" Robert suggested as he awkwardly changes the barrely of his machine gun. It was hard to do it alone, but he managed. He loaded a fresh belt of ammo, chambered a round.

"If you keep them off the roof, I can concentrate on the rest of 'em." He points at the horde below, then opens fire again in a thunderous burst of machine gun fire.

Lister picks up a loose chunk of roof that had been dislodged by one of his grenade explosions, and brained another climber, before looking thoughtfully at his bazookoid.

"I'll get something pointy from the next ammo run," he cheerfully tells Robert, even as he hoists the bazookoid up with the barrel to the sky. "This'll do in the meantime."

He checks to make sure that he has the firing mechanism disengaged. Don't want to blow the roof people up, after all.
