Out of credits, Game Over. [Open - During Shore Leave]
The Shodan incident had left more than a foul memory, in fact, it was so bad that the details were hazy.
But he knew he'd gone rogue, and he knew that he caused a lot of damage... and hurt people he cared about. There was no excuse, this was were he belonged. That however didn't make it any more depressing. He'd missed the new crew members, and he would miss much of the going ons but Splicer was used to being alone...
He had his team back after all, even if they were back at home. For now, he'd simply sit there, slumped against the cell wall and think of the thing's he'd done.
Man... this is the shit that the other Spectres got killed for... way to lose it cowboy...

Instead, she slept on the other side of the bars, out on a bench somewhere. It didn't look comfortable, but she needed to be here.

His eyes drifted over her form and he sighed. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't enjoying having company... But it just didn't feel right.
"Hey beautiful... you awake?"
no subject
"Shadow! You are awake!"
But that realization woke her right up. She scooted as close to the edge of the cage as she dared, staring.
"I have been so worried. Do you remember now?"
no subject
"I am, yeah."
Splicer simply looked at her. What if he had hurt her in the wake of his berserk outrage? Not Star... He wouldn't have! Would he?
His eyes narrowed in displeasure at unpleasant thoughts before he looked back at her.
"Sort of... My mind's still hazy from all the strain... but I'll recover." Hopefully...
no subject
She straightened her back and looked him over, still worried. Was he going to be all right?
"I will assist you if I can. What happened was not your fault."

She was nowhere to be seen, but his mental chastising did receive a reply.
"Oh, I'm sure that's the case, but let's be glad for small (actually gigantic) miracles; (as in) think of the magnitude of damage that would have been caused had you gone into a psychotic rage and still possessed your psionic abilities. It's not as bad (but still fairly terrible...oops, I'm not helping, am I?) by comparison."
no subject
"I'm fairly certain I don' wana think 'bout how bad it'd been if I kept 'em..."
He paused for a moment, a sense of disgust in the pit of his stomach.
"Apologies f' I don't recall... head's still hazy but... I... didn't hurt you none did I?"

Because right now, that was his main concern. He could rebuild the City, no problem. it would just take a lot of work and time. But if he had caused any serious harm to any of the few friends he had... He wouldn't have been able to forgive himself.

"Hey. How're you doing?"
no subject
You'll have to forgive him if he tries not to look up seeing as he feels he doesn't deserve the presence.
"Eh, I'm sure this is five star treatment compared to what I woulda gotten back home for this whole shitstorm... So I'm alright... How about you?"
no subject
"You want to tell me what happened?" Because he had some suspicions, but it was hard to really tell for sure.
no subject
"I wish I could tell you in detail myself... But my head's still hazy. I just remember a sudden blackout and the biggest migraine I have felt in my life... When I came to I...."
He paused, holding his head for a moment and closing his eyes tight to stave off the pain before shaking his head.
"I remember that thing... the AI... at first I had thought it was Stacy, fuck knows she's a crazy bitch, and... then they... they just didn't respond... my team... they... I thought they... were dead..."

"Glad to see you're still alive and kickin'." she said, after a long moment of just looking though the bars.
no subject
"Somewhat... though for a moment I thought it woulda been better if I hadn't. Stupid thoughts yanno?" He gave a weak chuckle.
no subject
She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at him.
"It's gonna be Winter Shoreleave... they called for everyone to head down planetside. Want anything?"
no subject
"At the mention of the shore leave he nodded, "Yeah actually," he rubbed the back of his head absentmindedly. "I sent a message on the comms when I got a chance, the list should be there... I mean, you don't gotta, but I'd appreciate it greatly."
He smiled,"I'd totally reward you for it too. A good reward and all." Okay, so it was a half-hearted attempt to be playful considering how he felt. But still, he's trying his best to get back together!

Hello security man, he's hoping you're just like the guards in Korhal and came to beat a man down when he's already grounded. At least someone kicking him around would make him feel better.
no subject
"I'm interested to learn the details of what happened." He could just read the report, but he preferred to do his own work, when he could.
no subject
"Well, there's stuff, but I'm not one to just dabble away and bore everyone here. But I'll be happy to answer anything you'd like to know."
Not like he had anywhere else to go!

She was briefed on what happened, of course. Her pilots didn't sneeze on this ship without her knowing about it.
no subject
He smiled weakly before looking towards her.
"Hey hey now, it's my first offense on board this ship! Granted, that's only because I haven't been here long. Though I do question your choice of pilots considerin' ya got me."
Sure it was an attempt to mask how shitty he felt about himself and that whole incident. But still... he was trying.
no subject
She had a vested interest in making sure that kind of bugnuts didn't happen while he was in a cockpit.
no subject
He sighed and slumped back against the wall.
"From what I've been told, some OTHER psycho AI decided to pull the plug on our powers..." He paused for a moment and looked almost warily at her.
"If I lose my psionics.... I can't handle my mental dampeners... and that leaves my head completely open to the already... extensive damage... And anything can trigger a berserk reaction at that point. Almost like overloading myself on Stims."
He hated talking about that stuff. He never did. But the way he was trained, a commanding officer was above else, and she was one of the few he followed.
