Out of credits, Game Over. [Open - During Shore Leave]

The Shodan incident had left more than a foul memory, in fact, it was so bad that the details were hazy.

But he knew he'd gone rogue, and he knew that he caused a lot of damage... and hurt people he cared about. There was no excuse, this was were he belonged. That however didn't make it any more depressing. He'd missed the new crew members, and he would miss much of the going ons but Splicer was used to being alone...

He had his team back after all, even if they were back at home. For now, he'd simply sit there, slumped against the cell wall and think of the thing's he'd done.

Man... this is the shit that the other Spectres got killed for... way to lose it cowboy...

"That'd be the most logical solution," Tim agreed, with a thoughtful 'hn' to go with it. "Presumably a biologically based apparatus, in order to avoid it being shut down by the same forces that effected your psionics-- hypothetically speaking. It'd need to be measured, to make sure that you were down for the appropriate length of time until someone could get you here..."

He frowned, realising he was mostly planning to himself at that point. "We can presumably work something out to prevent repeated offences."

Splicer shrugged, "Man, whatever is needed to keep that crap from happening again... I'm down for. As long as no one goes messing in my head, the rest of me is okay for testing. It's not like I haven't been a lab rat for most of my life anyways."

He sighed, leaning back against the wall and looking to the ceiling.

As part of Neuropathy, Tim would keep his mouth shut about that.

"We can find a non-neurobiological fix, I'm sure," he said. Then, he asked, "Is this at all the result of previous procedures?"

[personal profile] expendable_mind 2012-02-08 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
Neuropathy is totally not his friend! :|a

"Yeah, pretty much. Too much shit to handle, long story short. Scientists don't know when to stop. But hey, at least I'm one of the 'stable' ones." Compared to the others? Yeah, he was pretty sane.

"I can understand your reluctance for certain procedures then," Tim said plainly, but with a faint frown. "Though I'm not certain I'd want to see what the less stable ones are like." No offence. Honest.

"Oh they didn't make it far believe me. The Dominion had enough shit to deal with than the populace finding out about us. Whoever didn't make... the 'sanity' line cause of their fucking up, got killed, or saved up and caged for 'berserk' missions where they'd just drop them in a target planet and watch the fireworks happen..."

All of this was secret information, but at this point, he gave two shits. Even if he managed to get back home would they really believe he'd been through all of this? All they'd probably do is think he was on some heavy drugs and do a mind wipe...

And then all of this... all his memories here. They'd be gone.

Tim watched and listened, serious and appraising. He was interested in learning as much as he could about this, honestly. It was a good insight to have, if nothing else, understanding the world a little bit more.

"Then you were one who was more... stable, for lack of a better term?"

[personal profile] expendable_mind 2012-02-11 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
"Pretty much. My... issues were... manageable. At least they thought so."

Odd...

This was the first time he'd ever mentioned his personal stuff, like the really private stuff to anyone... other than to Aya.

"And it seems that they were correct for the most part," he said. Despite the positive words, his tone didn't quite reflect that meaning. "It's a risk we're going to have to continue working at. Perhaps a joint project between medical and engineering is in order."

[personal profile] expendable_mind 2012-02-13 09:12 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, I appreciate the vote of confidence. You all have all the right to shove me into the bleed if this shit happens ever again... I... never intended for anyone to get hurt."

He sighed and looked him over, "I'm sure those guys will be able to whip up something. They're pretty damn good at what they do." For his sake, he hoped he was right.

"Understandable. It's commendable that you're taking responsibility. We'll see to it that we avoid future injury."

Red Robin nodded. "I'll personally oversee the project if I have to. There are other priorities, but this obviously takes at least a certain amount of precedent."

[personal profile] expendable_mind 2012-02-23 04:25 am (UTC)(link)
"Well color me surprised. You're definitely not your average lock up official or detainment warden... Thanks man."

He nodded in his direction and gave him a lax salute in acknowledgement to what he had said. All he could do is trust him.

"Don't push your luck," Tim said, only a faint hint of humour in it. But there wasn't much more he could do, at the time. He gave him a serious nod.

"Then we'll have to get back to you about the project later," he said.
