Out of credits, Game Over. [Open - During Shore Leave]

The Shodan incident had left more than a foul memory, in fact, it was so bad that the details were hazy.

But he knew he'd gone rogue, and he knew that he caused a lot of damage... and hurt people he cared about. There was no excuse, this was were he belonged. That however didn't make it any more depressing. He'd missed the new crew members, and he would miss much of the going ons but Splicer was used to being alone...

He had his team back after all, even if they were back at home. For now, he'd simply sit there, slumped against the cell wall and think of the thing's he'd done.

Man... this is the shit that the other Spectres got killed for... way to lose it cowboy...

"I've been doing all right." Zouichi pulled up a chair outside the cell and sat down.

"You want to tell me what happened?" Because he had some suspicions, but it was hard to really tell for sure.

You're kind of weirding him out, Splicer. Like, seriously. "Your team? What happened was that SHODAN cut off or dampened all our powers at once."

Really. Weirding him out.

"Oh. Right. So when your powers disappear... you have trouble remembering things?"

"And SHODAN deprived you of those dampeners." Made sense. Although it sounded now like it hadn't even been Splicer's fault. He'd set the charges, sure, but he wasn't even in his right mind when it had happened (though one would argue that didn't make the attacks any less deadly). Zouichi sighed.

"Well, you're here now. How long are they going to keep you in the brig?"

Zouichi shook his head. "I don't think that's going to happen, honestly. Look, if you need someone to speak up on your behalf..." He left the rest of the sentence unsaid, unsure whether Splicer even wanted the help. But Zouichi couldn't just abandon him to whatever fate awaited him, right?

Then he lifted the object in his hands, holding it through the bars. "Here." It was a black box, wrapped in colored cloth. Inside was a boxed lunch, made from ingredients Zouichi had bought on shore leave (http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7142/6669012833_967281ab4d.jpg).

Zouichi nodded, then went on in a more lighthearted tone. After all, Splicer currently had all the time in the world to think his actions over -- he could probably use some time in which to take his mind off of the seriousness.

"So. If you'd like, I could check in on Hunter's Pad now and then. Make sure Howard hasn't stripped out all the wiring or something."

Zouichi smiled. "Yeah, probably not. Can't hurt to drop by, anyway. Pick up any new video games since last time? Maybe I'll give one a shot."

He didn't have a lot of experience with video games, unlike Splicer, but he did have great twitch reflexes.

He nodded. "I did see a copy of that floating around. I'll see if I can find some of the games on it, but I'm not really experienced at hunting that sort of thing down."

Grocery sale shopping, on the other hand... well, Zouichi would make a great housewife. "How many of those things do you have, anyway?"

"What year do you come from, anyway?" For Zouichi, the 20th century was a thousand years away, but there were some here from the year 40,000."

Also, that was a ridiculous number of games.

"...there's a difference between a Terran and a human?" He'd thought they were the same thing.

"Well... I can't help you there, I guess. Where I came from, it was 3006 A.D. So it's kind of strange, with all these people from the 20th and 21st century around. Even if you're from 2505, though, those are some antique games you've got."

"Sounds complicated." Well, he supposed that some might not consider many of the DRF agents truly 'human' any more. Perhaps it was the same thing.

He shrugged a little. "Maybe, maybe not. I mean, it's not like I've played that many video games. They'd all probably be new to me, actually." Even Pac Man. Or Pong. Although Pong would most likely be incredibly agonizing for Zouichi.

He smiled in return. "Guess so. Do you have any recommendations? Maybe something simple; the last time I tried playing a shooting game, I got a little too involved and ended up shooting the screen."

You know, Splicer. With his real gun.
