The Shodan incident had left more than a foul memory, in fact, it was so bad that the details were hazy.

But he knew he'd gone rogue, and he knew that he caused a lot of damage... and hurt people he cared about. There was no excuse, this was were he belonged. That however didn't make it any more depressing. He'd missed the new crew members, and he would miss much of the going ons but Splicer was used to being alone...

He had his team back after all, even if they were back at home. For now, he'd simply sit there, slumped against the cell wall and think of the thing's he'd done.

Man... this is the shit that the other Spectres got killed for... way to lose it cowboy...

There were plenty of groceries on the list too! So Splicer would be lucky then.

"Games? Shit man, some would say too many would be an understatement. I love them, and collect them. And have managed to get vintage games from way, way back, 20th century in my world. Which is to say many thousands of years back... so you can say my library is quite extensive."

That was the cheerful and extensive way of saying 'I have millions of games.'

"What year do you come from, anyway?" For Zouichi, the 20th century was a thousand years away, but there were some here from the year 40,000."

Also, that was a ridiculous number of games.

"Well, sometimes it's hard to tell. If you believe the purists, they insist on Terran Dominion being the only true existence to us and state that it was the year 2505. But they don't want to accept that us Terrans where once human, still are or whatever," he shrugged.

"And before the stablishment of the first Terran colony which was thought to have been lost and forgotten, there's not much info one what year it was on Earth. I'm sure the UED would know more if those bastards hadn't turned tail and ran after the Brood Wars."

"...there's a difference between a Terran and a human?" He'd thought they were the same thing.

"Well... I can't help you there, I guess. Where I came from, it was 3006 A.D. So it's kind of strange, with all these people from the 20th and 21st century around. Even if you're from 2505, though, those are some antique games you've got."

Splicer shrugged, "Man, that question has been argued to death. I don't think we'll ever get to an agreement. Me? I don't really care. I'm me, that's about it."

As far as the games went, he smiled, "Yeah, Love those old games to death man. But I guess even the one's that I would say are top of the line from my time would be antique to you huh?" He chuckled.

"Sounds complicated." Well, he supposed that some might not consider many of the DRF agents truly 'human' any more. Perhaps it was the same thing.

He shrugged a little. "Maybe, maybe not. I mean, it's not like I've played that many video games. They'd all probably be new to me, actually." Even Pac Man. Or Pong. Although Pong would most likely be incredibly agonizing for Zouichi.

Splicer laughed, "Ah man, well all the better then! That means ya still got lots to experience man, and the wonderful world of video games is just amazing. I can assure you of that."

He smiled in return. "Guess so. Do you have any recommendations? Maybe something simple; the last time I tried playing a shooting game, I got a little too involved and ended up shooting the screen."

You know, Splicer. With his real gun.

Splicer laughed, a good, true laugh and shook his head. "Man, have I been there before plenty of times. How about way old school? To when games first came out? Well, not Pong or Asteroids, but maybe Galaga, or Centipede. Maybe even Donkey Kong."

Zouichi nodded thoughtfully, committing the names to memory. "I suppose they would be a little less... similar to what I do in real life." And thus safer for him to play! At least until he curbed that Destroy All Threats thing.

"All right. When you get out of here, let's play a game or two." Surely Splicer knew some multiplayer games.

"Man, you don't gotta ask twice. I'm totally game for sum r n r after this whole thing settles down that's for sure."

he definitely needed it. Especially if he wanted to get back on the right track and have everything inside his head as stable as he could.

He smiled a little. "I'll hold you to that. Anyway, I should get going. I'll come by again later and see how you're doing?"

"Hey man, if you keep bringing that bombing food, you're welcome to come by every hour," he replied with a light laugh before nodding towards him.

"I appreciate that, everything actually Z. Take care out there man."

He laughed then, despite himself. It was strange, but Zouichi seemed to be slowly becoming more outwardly demonstrative as far as emotions like that went. "I will. See you in a day or two."
