The Shodan incident had left more than a foul memory, in fact, it was so bad that the details were hazy.

But he knew he'd gone rogue, and he knew that he caused a lot of damage... and hurt people he cared about. There was no excuse, this was were he belonged. That however didn't make it any more depressing. He'd missed the new crew members, and he would miss much of the going ons but Splicer was used to being alone...

He had his team back after all, even if they were back at home. For now, he'd simply sit there, slumped against the cell wall and think of the thing's he'd done.

Man... this is the shit that the other Spectres got killed for... way to lose it cowboy...

Splicer was actually comforted by the 'sound' of the familiar telepathic link.

"I'm fairly certain I don' wana think 'bout how bad it'd been if I kept 'em..."

He paused for a moment, a sense of disgust in the pit of his stomach.

"Apologies f' I don't recall... head's still hazy but... I... didn't hurt you none did I?"

"Oh, none at all (though the 'self-preservation' route might have helped with that). When I noticed that I had been cut off from all sources of my abilities, I left the city, only to see the ah...disagreement (rampage) you had. Not one for dodging bullets and disarming bombs (Matrix-level theatrics aren't in my skill-set), I went to one of the many safe zones to aid in technological endeavors against the threat (not you)."

"I see... well that's a relief at least. I'm glad you were safe and seem to be unharmed."

Because right now, that was his main concern. He could rebuild the City, no problem. it would just take a lot of work and time. But if he had caused any serious harm to any of the few friends he had... He wouldn't have been able to forgive himself.

"You shouldn't stay upset too long, Splicer, lest you lose sight of what you now need to do. Self-loathing won't help anyone (I'm a bit of an expert on this subject...). I doubt any of the people you might (might) have physically harmed would want you traversing down that sad, lonely path, either."

"Heh, yeah I mean, it's not my style either but still kind of hard to not think about it yanno? I'm sure I'll be back to normal soon enough. I appreciate ya bein' here though."

"Oh, of course. I couldn't just let my telepathic teammate suffer the egregious injustices of of an overactive (and guilty) mind! So here I am to divert your attention to something far more engaging (and less self-depreciating)."

"Oh, wow, so you came to give me eye candy then?" He grinned teasingly before chuckling.

"Man, do I ever appreciate the company though... thanks MF."

"No, not quite. Mind-candy though, is just a bit more delectable, I think (groan, that was terrible)! And don't mention it; after all you've (quite selflessly) assisted me with, it would be rude (not to mention a bitch move) not to offer a hand (or mind) to a friend!"

Splicer chuckled, "Haha, it wasn't that terrible. Kinda clever and there's something to be said about a beautiful mind."

He paused and smiled. "I'm happy to hear I have someone I can count on. A good friend, (Not to mention a rather hot one)" he added intentionally for her amusement. She could even grab the hint of a smirk as he 'let the thought slip' out.
