Meet-n-Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Shiki is clearly flustered by the memories of the last dreamworld Len created.

It was not surprising that Eva seemed to react strangely to the word "familiar." It was only about two months ago that Shiki was thrown into a battle between vampires and magicians and The Church.
"In any case, I would prefer to find some clothing other than these. I am not sure how I feel about wearing a living thing."

Shiki clenches and and opens his right hand as he remembers the feel and the weight of his knife, the last relic of his birth family.

She looks at his right hand. Former Controller going through the motions to remind themselves they're free? She eyes him suspiciously.

Shiki follows Eva's gaze to his right hand.
"Oh, I was thinking about how incomplete I feel without Nanatsu-yoru on hand. It's the last relic of a family I never knew; a knife which is comforting to have on hand. Still, I don't like the fact that vampires call me the real monster."

She gives him a level stare. "Well, are you?"

Briefly removing his glasses, Shiki does a quick glance about the room before putting them back on. His left hand goes to his head as he winces at the headache he now has.
"There are some here right now, but it looks like they are not malevolent so we should be fine. If they were anything like the vampires I am used to, most of the people on this ship would probably be dead."

Eva makes a mental note that they can be killed with knives, instead of the usual stakes and holy water.

Whatever cool (or cheesy) line Shiki was going to say was interrupted by him collapsing to the floor. Of all the times for an attack, why did his anemic symptoms have to show up now. A proper investigation of his pulse would show that he is perfectly fine, yet any doctor would say he is suffering from anemia.
"Sorry, I figured the attacks were getting less frequent. Well, every vampire is different. Usually to kill one, you need to use some form of conceptual weapon to do so. However, I am the only one that can kill them using anything, and am thus considered a monster."

Despite his front, Shiki realizes just how dangerous it is to be living only off of half of a person's life force, and is relieved since it means Akiha is still alive.

Shiki found it tough to tell someone that at one point he died and was resurrected by his step-sister giving him half of her life force.

Shiki took on the aspect of a student answering his professor, one of the few roles he had been forced to play back on his world.
"In any case, I try. Thanks for the concern. I should probably check out the Medbay at some point in case they have a cure of some sort. It might also give me a chance to look at some mecha."
Shiki's eyes seem to sparkle at the prospects of seeing robots in action.
no subject
"A mecha - oh. You're one of those. A nerd." She smiles. Her husband's a techie, and while she usually tunes out his long-winded explanations for how radios work and how cool holographic-capable AI is, she can appreciate enthusiasm for the subject. It's nice to see.

Eva is clearly in the presence of a closet mecha otaku who has just been placed in a dream situation.
"And I am not a nerd, just an ordinary high school student."

Shiki calms down and returns to the matter at hand.
"Besides, I was not convulsing. I was merely appreciating what I can from the present situation."

"Fair enough, So what is your like? Mine was what you would probably consider normal until I was dragged into events concerning vampires about two months ago."

Shiki shrugs.
"I guess all we can do is live our lives to the fullest despite the circumstances."
