'Meat' 'n Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a green-skinned alien and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Oof," Signum says at the impact of the micro-desu-machine, before looking down at her.

"Rein? So you're here too."

"So I'm here too? What kind of greeting is that? Mou!" exclaimed Rein hotly, hands on hips.

She then smiled and hugged the knight once more. "It's good to see you Signum! Some of the members of the TSAB are here too already."

"Sorry about that, Rein," Signum says with a slight wry grin. "It is good to see you unharmed."

She takes a second to look back over at the crowd.

"I had already spoken with Nanoha, and she mentioned that Testarossa was here as well. Are there any others?"

"You spoke with Nanoha-san? Ah I see." Rein smiled and floated onto Signum's shoulder. "Yes, Fate-san and Vivio-chan are here, and Kala-chan a prospective applicant is here too."

"I see," she says simply as her little companion took her place on her shoulder. "I ought to look for them, eventually."

First, though, she wanted to figure out more of what was going on, and the easiest place to do so was right here.

"So many people," she says, nodding towards the crowd. "Where are they all from? TSAB regulated worlds?"

"Yeah. Oh! And big sister is here, the first Reinforce too. Doh, I forgot about her. Stupid me." She giggled and tapped her forehead with a fist.

And Rein shook her head. "Actually many of them have never even heard of the TSAB, or have come into contact with us. A lot of them stand apart from other worlds, and a lot of them are from what we know as books and media. I've avoided speaking about that fully cause y'know, it causes people to fidget when you talk about stuff like that."

...wat.

"...What?"

While she would have been interested in that last bit, the part about Reinforce was what grabbed her attention.

"What do you mean the first Reinforce is here? She had sacrificed herself to keep from eating away at Hayate's life."

"Different world I'm guessing," said Rein, refocusing on the first little bit. "From what she said to Nanoha-san, she remembers things differently and she's been able to survive. She's really nice though."

"I see."

She pauses slightly, thinking of what to say.

"...I suppose I ought to try and meet her again, when I get the chance."

"You'll love her. She's quieter than I am but she's just as nice. And she likes Hayate-chan too which is a plus." added Rein with a wide grin.

"I'll have to introduce you to Kala-chan soon Signum. She's in training right now but I think I could give her the exam soon." said Rein.

Signum merely nodded slightly at the mention of Reinforce's personality, keeping her thoughts and feelings on the subject mostly to herself, as usual.

"I see," she says when Rein mentions Kala. "What style does she practice?"

"Ah she uses the Mid-Childa modern system but with a device that has modern Belkan mods in it," replied Rein. "I've been doing all of the work on the devices lately. I'm still kind of stuck on a couple though."

"Oh? What seems to be the problem?"

She didn't have much of a head for technical work, but she was still willing to listen to her much-shorter compatriot's problems.

"It's been partially fused and damaged all in the same timeframe with another device, combined into one. The conflicting circuits is making it hard for me to implement any changes. I'm still working on making sure Rising Phoenix is back to normal." replied Rein, sighing. "It's a tough task."

"I see. That must be quite the problem, then."

Signum glanced down at Laevateinn. She had always thought of her Device as more of a brother-in-arms than a weapon. She wonders how much pain the blade would be in if it had to go through the same ordeal.

Yes. Not only there's two different personalities but two conflicting designers too. It's a miracle he/she's not for a lack of a better term, schizophrenic." sighed Rein. "But yes, I've got a Midchildian tech pod down in Engineering I use to make repairs and upgrades. I can show it to you if you need it at times."

"I'm certain Laevateinn will need maintenance periodically, so I'll be counting on you."

She looks back over to the crowd after a few moments.

"This is all rather strange," she said somewhat quietly. After all, only a handful of the people aboard this ship seemed to be from TSAB controlled space, despite it's rather vast influence. Not to mention the sheer number of people this ship seemed to have abducted.

"I'll do my best!" chirped Rein.

She nodded at Signum's statement. "It really is strange, but the multiverse seems to be bigger and much more vast. They call the Ohm reality destroyers which means its outside the usual dimensional sea if you want to fragment Dimensions and Realities into two separate balls of Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Stuff."

"Hnn," is about all that comes out of Signum's mouth as she scratches the back of her head.

While she was intelligent, this sort of thing really wasn't her thing, even with Rein's rather simplistic description of the situation.

"Anything I should know about the rest of the crew?"

"Well we're grouped into departments with various smaller groups of interest everywhere, including command which I'm a part of as the bridge crew," explained Rein. "Nanoha-san runs the magic department, Billy's down in Engineering, and there's all sorts of interesting things to see here. I would also suggest meeting new people and I know Hayate would like for it to happen."

Yeah she was playing the Hayate Said So card in an attempt to get the knight to be more sociable. If it worked, it was a point in the desu machine's favor.

Signum sighs at that last bit, but still grins slightly.

Couldn't people understand that she simply enjoyed ~~being antisocial~~ leading a somewhat secluded lifestyle, save for a few choice friends?

No? Not gonna happen? Ah, well.

"I'll be sure to take a look, especially at Nanoha's department."

Rein grinned at the tiny little victory. At least she wouldn't alienate the ENTIRE place, would she?

Then again it WAS Signum.

"I can show you where it is when you're done here Signum," offered Rein. "It's down in the city."

...

"...This ship has a city?"

This place was so weird.

"Yes, it's got many buildings and places from different worlds. I've yet to find anything I recognize but it's good. And huge. But it needs repairs since the fighting last month happened." added Rein. "I've been pitching in too."

"I see. I suppose I ought to lend a hand too."

What? If Rein was helping out, she could, too. Not that she felt that there was much she could typically do besides fighting things and making them blow up, but she could certainly try.
