'Meat' 'n Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a green-skinned alien and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Admittedly, it is a little strange, but I guess this whole situation has plenty of strangeness to go around."

She scratches her cheek, looking a bit awkward.

"I suppose I ought to scold you for making Hayate as sad as you did, but...well, you were just doing what you thought was best for her."

"I... am not exactly the same as the Reinforce you and Nanoha knew. I never did such a thing. I did come close once, but..." She looked embarrassed, in her own very subtle fashion. "You stopped me."

Some small, unaccountable thing had changed, and she had lived on. It was a painful thing to consider the other her, who had achieved that same happiness, but had it cut short.

"Even if you aren't the same Reinforce..." she says, placing a hand on the other mage's shoulder, "...you are still one of us. You are still...ah."

She pauses for a second, thinking.

"'You are still family,' I suppose is appropriate."

She wasn't particularly good with these heartfelt moments (it was more Nanoha's or Hayate's thing), but she was trying her best.

Rein started, if anything as slow as her typical reactions could be called 'starting'. "No, I didn't mean to say I was not."

'The family' was all-important; she wouldn't let anything so small as a division of realities separate its members. Certainly, this Signum could expect the same support form her as her own.

"I just thought you should know. I am Reinforce, but I am not... the one you know, returned."

They were all bound by the oaths they swore to protect Hayate and each other. The differences of time and space meant nothing in the face of that.

"I understand. Even so, it is reassuring to stand beside the First Wind of Blessing once again."

"I'll be counting on you as well." A knight, of course, needed to be relied upon. And she did need the knight. Signum was steady, a rock, but for all her old-fashioned image she did not share Rein's own immobility.
