'Meat' 'n Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a green-skinned alien and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Matt picked up on the change in Ran Fan's feelings and asked, "Are you alright? You look really depressed all of a sudden."

"No, I'm fine." It was a blatant lie, but hey. She wasn't gunna crack that easily.

Matt held his tongue at that. She clearly wasn't due to his empathy running wild, but he decided not to comment on it. "Alright."

He knew the value of giving someone their emotional space and switched topics. "Well, I suppose welcome to Stacy. She's a intelligent ship that's been waking us all up to help defend ourselves from a reality destroying race called the Ohm. I'm Matt Olsen, I run the WITCH bus as its caretaker, a home and school of sorts."

"A ship..." It had been a question Ran Fan had been meaning to ask, and she was glad Matt had brought it up. "And we are supposed to be traveling... in space? How is that possible?"

Ah, the drawbacks of coming from a world where not even computers exist yet.

"Well the technical term is the bleed, but I'm not too sure of the explanations behind that term." Matt shrugged. "People have always been reaching for the stars. I guess this is the final extension of it."
