'Meat' 'n Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a green-skinned alien and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Uhura let him sniff and was still very, very confused as she listened. Romulan butt? Pock-- Oh, God. Spock. And Kirk. And herself.

"Nero?" she asked, tilting her head just a little. "We defeated Nero a few months ago, but I'm not sure I saw you there."

"Knee wha-t? Eee, noh. Noh." Sniff. Wait, is he...actually smiling a bit?

"Noh s-mell Kay-yuh-luh." Another sniff.

"Hoo-Hoo-Rrrrah, frrrom o-ther Big Shi-p?"

"Yes. I'm from another Enterprise," she said, wondering about the other Uhura for a moment. "In my timeline, a Romulan known as Nero altered time by attacking and destroying the USS Kelvin. That completely derailed the normal timeline from that moment forward, so, I am from an alternate universe from the original."

"Eeee. Hoo-Hoo-Rrrrah li-ke Pock-kit. New. Goo-d." Chirp.

A trill and an ear-twitch later, the sniffing beastie offers a kind of gentle nudge. He knows the language of animals much more fluently than that of English.
