'Meat' 'n Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a green-skinned alien and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Luke Skywalker. Pretty sure you flew with him a few times."

Tycho made a noise of startled disbelief that sounded something like a chuckle. "Luke's kid?" he asked, shaking his head. "Yeah, I've flown with him more than a few times, but ... You mean old Luke ..." Tycho shook his head again. Then he thought of something. "... er, who's your mother?" he asked cautiously.

"Mara Jade Skywalker," he said, hoping that Tycho hadn't been yanked onboard when his mother had wanted to kill his father.

Tycho nodded at this piece of information. "Wedge told me something about that Luke and Mara got together in the future," he admitted, "but it's still a little odd for me to think about. When I'm from, they're not exactly good friends or anything ..."

"'She's trying to put a lightsaber in his back' not exactly good friends, or regular not exactly good friends?"

That got a surprised chuckle out of Tycho. "No, it's been several years since the whole Wayland thing," he said. "What, they told you about that?" He shook his head again.

"Half my family, five times apiece," he shrugged. "And six million times from Threepio."

Tycho snorted at the threepio reference. "He does like to talk, doesn't he," he agreed.

"So-" he continued, then paused, "you know, you haven't actually told me your name yet."

"Ben." He ran his fingers through his hair absentmindedly, calling up what this place had thrown at him. "So everyone here was kidnapped to save the ship's homeworlds?"
