Meet and Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicomms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicomm. New crewmates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that), a large afro attached to a smaller girl, and talking ponies among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in. But thankfully this time, there's a system that was set up to aid the new crew members with a few more experienced ones.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. Big brother/sister, there will be a thread for you as well!]

let me know if I need to change anything ^^;
Okay. She's armed, has armor, and extra rounds. She has her hat and her Pip-Boy. Something in the back of her mind settles down, and she suddenly realizes that being naked made her more unsettled than she thought, and entirely because she felt unguarded. Now she can protect herself. (... Okay, yes, the teddy bear and the card also comfort her a great deal. They're her "good luck" items, all right? Don't judge.)
She equips the Pip-Boy, turns it on, and waits for it to boot itself up. She flips through the screens. Her physical status is normal, her radiation levels right where she left them, her inventory matches what she found in the locker, her notes and diary are intact, the numbers that write out the date and time are jumbled and strange, and her map --
Connection lost...
What? ... Great. Just great. Elle sighs. She has to admit, it makes sense. It lines up with the everything she's been told, even if she doesn't like it. It makes this whole thing feel more... real. It's getting harder and harder to dismiss this whole thing as some crazy too-many-Nuka-Colas-before-bed-induced dream.
After staring at the strange world flying past her as she traveled through the strange tube contraption, she finds herself in a large space filled with a high ceiling, several sitting areas, and many, many people. Some wear the plantsuit, others wear clothes, some are handing out pamphlets, some look like they're in charge, some just look... lost, or angry, or confused. Elle receives a ring (which she wears on her left hand) and some kind of portable terminal-like device, the latter of which displays a "survival guide."
She wanders slowly, eyes keen and glued on the words on the portable terminal ("Omnicomm") screen. While she's reading, she's not quite paying attention to where she's going, though she manages to mostly avoid running into anyone. After she's finished, she stares out the nearest window at the great space beyond, and though her face is blank, her eyes show clearly that she's shaken and trying to process everything.
But, after a time, she pulls herself out of her shock and forges into the crowd, seeking out those who look more adapted and comfortable -- those who look like they may have been here for a while. It's time to gather more information. (She may stand out from the others who have newly awaken, considering that she changed into her armor and hat, has her Pip-Boy on her left wrist, carrying a shotgun on her back, and a time-worn teddy bear in one arm...)
Keep moving, she tells herself. Just keep moving. Keep acting, and everything will be okay. It's worked before, right?
*thumbs up*
A scruffy little girl was sitting ontop of a lump of...whatever the ship was made out of. It was squishy and off color. The girl was dressed in ratty casual clothes. She had some kind of cat/dog/bird creature in her lap and was petting it affectionately while watching Elle carefully.
:3!
Elle offers the girl a smile and a tip of the hat. "Thank you!"
... how old is this girl? Elle walks over to where she's sitting.
"Are you new here?"
Re: :3!
The creature was watching Elle curiously and sniffing the air.

"I'm Elle," she says, still smiling. "What's your name? And... Who's your friend?"
no subject
"I'm Sandy Marko, and this is Taro."
To which Taro made a chirping noise.
"What's yours?"

^^b
That, coupled with the fact that she wasn't paying attention of where she was going as she tried to leave the room made her bump into the newcomer and she let out a small gasp of surprise.
"I s-so sorry. I didn't see you." She said quickly. While the half orc girl in front of you seemed timid and withdrawn, she also looked like she was wearing a unique uniform to the crew and it looked like she had been here a while.
\o/
Regardless, the other girl seems rather abashed about the whole thing, even though there wasn't any harm done. Elle gives her a soft smile. "No, it's okay. Hey, is it okay if I ask you some questions? I'm new here..."
^///^b
"Oh! Ah s-sure, I'm here to help after all. I've been here.... Umm for much longer than I can remember, so I hope I can help you with anything you need!" she added with a more calm smile.

Morgan offered a casual wave as he walked up, not anywhere near as armored as she was. Just a long coat and a sword slung across his back, the latter of which seemed more an accessory than a weapon at the moment. Nothing to fear here.
"Looks like you had a good run of luck with the stuff of yours in storage."
no subject
"Yeah, I guess so." She thinks especially of the shotgun on her back. "How uncommon is it for people to be as lucky as me?"
no subject
Morgan offered her a hand and a smile. "Morgan Knight."
no subject
She takes his hand and tries to smile back. It kind of works. "Elle."

Luckily, it's not that hard to spot her given that getup, and he manages (barely) to twist out of her way, throwing up his arms to avoid smashing into her with the laptop at the same time. There's a yelp as he loses his balance and falls in an ungainly plantsuited heap onto the squishy floor, arms still thrust into the air and holding the laptop out of harms way.
Not really his best entrance, to be honest.
no subject
... whelp.
"Are you... okay?"
no subject
"Apart from perhaps a slightly bruised coccyx, and a modest blow to the ego, the Jackal can assure you he is quite unharmed. Deepest apologies, oh Armored One. Would that the Jackal had spotted you prior to this most unfortunate incident, I can assure you it would not have occurred. I trust you are uninjured?"
no subject
"You don't have to apologize, I'm fine. It'd take a lot more than a bump and a potential fall to hurt me in this." She taps the shoulder of her armor. "I'm more worried about you, who did fall. Is your bag okay?"
She wonders what's in it. Whatever it is, he must find it precious. ... or fragile.
no subject
He's quick to stop staring, however, picking up where he'd left off only moments before. "...as you are wearing. My pardon, oh Armored One. I was distracted for but a moment. To answer your earlier question, yes, my bag has suffered no damage, and I am quite certain that since it did not in truth strike the floor, the laptop within has sustained no damage as well."
Definitely wordy. Really, really wordy.
"Might the Jackal inquire if you are one of the older crew members aboard this vessel?"

"Rex! Veronica!"
The care she's been taking to avoid running into people is immediately abandoned as she plunges through the crowd. All that matters is reaching them.
no subject
There's a movement to reach and cover the Brotherhood emblem on her shoulder, but she stops - if this person knows her by name, she prooooobably doesn't want to kill her.
"Um. Hello...?" Please don't mind the confused look too much, Elle. Rex is happy to see you, but he enjoys the attention. At least, until he spots the hat, and starts growling.
no subject
He's growling at her.
Elle takes off her hat without another question, but the lack of recognition in Veronica's face makes her hesitate before she speaks again. There is a dread growing in the back of her head, even as she tries to ignore it.
"It's... me. Elle."
