Meet and Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicomms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicomm. New crewmates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that), a large afro attached to a smaller girl, and talking ponies among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in. But thankfully this time, there's a system that was set up to aid the new crew members with a few more experienced ones.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. Big brother/sister, there will be a thread for you as well!]

"Rex! Veronica!"
The care she's been taking to avoid running into people is immediately abandoned as she plunges through the crowd. All that matters is reaching them.
no subject
There's a movement to reach and cover the Brotherhood emblem on her shoulder, but she stops - if this person knows her by name, she prooooobably doesn't want to kill her.
"Um. Hello...?" Please don't mind the confused look too much, Elle. Rex is happy to see you, but he enjoys the attention. At least, until he spots the hat, and starts growling.
no subject
He's growling at her.
Elle takes off her hat without another question, but the lack of recognition in Veronica's face makes her hesitate before she speaks again. There is a dread growing in the back of her head, even as she tries to ignore it.
"It's... me. Elle."
no subject
Veronica notices the fact that Elle knew why Rex would be growling - and how to act on it. Given that she called them by name, though, that seems...viable. The question is, though, who is this Elle, and just how does she know them?
The way she answered and that hesitation make Veronica a bit hesitant to answer herself. "...I'm afraid that name doesn't ring a bell," she answers, rather obviously not excited about being the bearer of possibly-bad news.

"But -- " Her voice speaks without her telling it to. She manages not to reach for her companions. "But... We traveled... and you..."
Elle can remember it clearly. Veronica and Rex at her back before she pushed open the doors of the Lucky 38 as she left for the first time in days. Veronica and Cass, not letting her leave the presidential suite's kitchen until she tells them about happened with Benny. Something blocks her throat, and though she works her mouth, no sound comes out.
What's going on? How... Why...
"The ship...?"
That has to be it. Something to do with the ship. It's the only answer she can think of. And now that the gears in her mind are working, she can find her voice again. Now, she should be able to explain things better.
"We met at the 188 Trading Post. Does that help any?"
no subject
And it's probably best to not mention that she'd done some traveling with a woman named Gina, not Elle.
"Ah...w-well. I haven't been back to the trading post in a long time. Was pretty busy before I woke up here, but...I guess after everything wrapped up, I probably would've gone back there..." Hmn. Maybe this girl was from her future? After all, High Elder Maxson was here. Her and Christine were from his future, so it'd make sense that someone else could be from theirs.
"...do you know what the situation at Hoover Dam was before you left? Or if Ceasar's still alive?"
no subject
... ah...
"Wanted, I guess I should say, huh?"
Her expression falls for a moment. It's all... gone. Though, if she was saved, she's sure Mr. House was, too, and probably Caesar, too, now that she thinks about it. Still, this is the first time it's truly striking home that it's all gone. It's gone, and she doesn't know who of the people she's met has been saved. Her chest aches.

Veronica's quiet, mulling this over in her head. It's rather confusing to say the least.
"...I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here, and guess that you're a courier."

"I'm afraid not. I'm sorry..." she answers, just as quietly.
A few moments of awkward silence pass before she speaks up again. "...that could be changed, though."

"Welcome aboard. Fair warning, though - the crazy shit at home doesn't have anything on the stuff here."
no subject
She squats down next to pet Rex. "Hey, what do you think? Do you wanna be friends, too?"
Well... She's still not entirely sure what to make of this. It still hurts, but. At least Veronica and Rex are here, alive. They were saved. And even if they have to start over... Elle's not really alone. (Right? There's some part of her that doubts this, but she tries to fight it back.)
no subject
"Yeah. I haven't seen them first-hand yet myself, but I get the feeling that they're gonna put our big bugs back home to shame."
