Meet and Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicomms and comm rings. They are also told they must read information about their current situation and a survival guide with their new omnicomm. New crewmates might see a tall dragonish guy with wings (but don't call him that), a large afro attached to a smaller girl, and talking ponies among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in. But thankfully this time, there's a system that was set up to aid the new crew members with a few more experienced ones.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies. Big brother/sister, there will be a thread for you as well!]

That, coupled with the fact that she wasn't paying attention of where she was going as she tried to leave the room made her bump into the newcomer and she let out a small gasp of surprise.
"I s-so sorry. I didn't see you." She said quickly. While the half orc girl in front of you seemed timid and withdrawn, she also looked like she was wearing a unique uniform to the crew and it looked like she had been here a while.
\o/
Regardless, the other girl seems rather abashed about the whole thing, even though there wasn't any harm done. Elle gives her a soft smile. "No, it's okay. Hey, is it okay if I ask you some questions? I'm new here..."
^///^b
"Oh! Ah s-sure, I'm here to help after all. I've been here.... Umm for much longer than I can remember, so I hope I can help you with anything you need!" she added with a more calm smile.

"Time works weird? How so?"
no subject
"Time doesn't work how it would normally on your world, or anyone's world. Even if the time 'concept' is incredibly different from one world to the next, you can't really tell time while aboard Stacy. It's kind of neat and off-putting all at once since even automatons that have clockwork and other sophisticated mechanisms to tell time can't seem to be able to anymore while on board Stacy."
Tech talk always put the young half-orc at ease!

"Hmm... I see. Is there even at least a clear day-night cycle? Or... whatever would pass for one around here."
no subject
It sounds really confusing now that Ronnae is simply saying it out loud...

"And there's a bit more in the Media Library over here," she pointed at the map.
"You could also ask the Council for any additional information."
no subject
"All right, thank you. Where should I go if I want to talk to the Council?"

no subject
"Thank you very much. This is helping me out a lot." She smiles. "My name's Elle."
no subject
She bowed low, as she had been taught, her long ponytails skimming the floor before she rose again with a shy smile. "I'm Ronnae, Ronnae 'Mash Belore Ryllos. It's a great pleasure to meet ya Elle."
no subject
"That's quite a name you've got there," Elle teases.
no subject
Ronnae blushes some more and fidgets in place, a shy smile still spread across her lips as she rubs the back of her head awkwardly. "I ah, w-well I t-tend to give my full name s-since that's how I was brought up... H-haha. I guess it's j-just habit you know!"
She pauses and then lets out a small breath. "I like your name. It's really pretty."
no subject
Now it's Elle's turn to flush.
"It's not much, really. I don't even know if it's short for anything. I don't know my parents, so..."
no subject
At the latter, her ears drooped back a little and she looked down, "Oh... I ah.. s-sorry. I d-didn't know..." Some people didn't mind, some people became sad when mentioning unknown/dead parents. Either way, Ronnae felt a bit of guilt at bringing it up.
"It's s-still a really nice name... it h-has a really sweet and kind tone to it. I like it lots..."
no subject
She pulls herself from that train of thought sharply. Focus on the now. Focus on what Ronnae is saying.
At least Benny couldn't be saved, some dark part of the back of her mind mutters.
"I'm glad you think so." She smiles softly. "That's the kind of thing I want to remembered for."
no subject
She fidgeted a bit in place but managed an honest, and shy smile.
"I know you will, it certainly comes off naturally! I think you'll do great on board and I... w-well I t-think you're a g-great addition to the crew." Here come the red cheeks once more...
