Is Your Love Strong Enough? Part 2 - Personal Interwoven Soulcatchers

Following you awakening and talking with a few of the members through the communication systems by way of the three kind people who had awakened her, Nezaitben realized how the crew was stuck in a terrible mess.

So many of them felt sad and depressed. Considering the entire ship, it wasn't too hard to see why. The next day, there had been an unusual amount of magical flowers spreading all over the ship. Nothing that damaged the controls (she might be naive in the way humanoids were, but Nezaitben was no fool either) but they were found in the most unexpected of places. Her own awakening area was now blooming in a flower paradise, the wooden palace standing proudly on top, the smell and pink cherry blossom strong enough to carry through most of the central city area where most people resided.

Yet the ship was still sad.

This would not do.

That night, or what passed as a night for in the ship, Nezaitben took to the 'sky', letting pieces of her own essence fall on top of the sleeping populace, or those that were not sleeping finding themselves feeling the need too. Enveloping the ship into a peaceful slumber, she searched their dreams. The powers granted to her by the pantheon of gods in her homeworld allowed Nezaitben to weave a series of dreamcatchers giving her the ability to see those whose hearts connected true.

These noble souls would do. Lead by example had always been her philosophy. She would give them a great gift - communication with each other in a single body, allowing them to share everything together. Their two soulcatchers were woven together that night into a single, grand ones, hanging in the garden's trees.

A few minutes later, the empty husks of the bodies that weren't being used showed up at her palace. With a smile, she welcomed them like her own children and began to dress them for their task.

That morning, some of the crewmen would wake up to a strange surprise...and that would just be the beginning of a long, strange misunderstanding and young gods trying too much to please everyone.

[OOC - Just a few rules. Keep in mind the listed rules. You can all start your own threads of waking up in the bodies of others. If you feel like leaving a 2nd post for other people to intact with them, start a reply to your own first post with OPEN header. That way everyone else will know where to post and if you don't feel like having an open interaction post right away, you won't have to!

There will also be another post for all the soulless characters to go around spreading joy and love, so look forward to that too!]

"Oh, man alive, you know what I could really go for? Waffles. A big stack of waffles with bacon and syrup and chocolate sauce. Hey, I'm having a craving! Never had one of those before!"

The voice was back. And more obnoxious than ever.

Okay. Okay that was...definitely him. Was she going crazy? Hearing voices? Maybe she was overtired, but she considered herself a fair judge of what was real and what wasn't.

And it was like. Wheatley. Was in her head. Giving her...bad...

ideas...

Oh, no.

She found herself thinking it aloud, over and over, as if to reassure herself that this was not happening there was no way it was possible. No. No no no no no no no...

"You don't have to shout, I can hear you just fine," Wheatley's voice told her. "Geez, don't you ever stop talking? No this, and no that, it's just all no no no from you isn't it?"
fattynoparents: (gotta go fast)

With each passing second, it became more and more clear to Chell just what was going on, even if NONE OF IT MADE ANY SENSE NONE OF IT SHOUDL BE POSSIBLE HOW WAS THIS HAPPENING WHY WAS THIS HAPPENING.

She was, by nature, calm under pressure. But that was, of course, in situations where her enemy was outside her head.

Right now her thoughts were racing, still refusing to believe that such a thing could be happening and simultaneously trying to make sense of what was happening. She found herself backing against a wall, her hands moving from the forgotten ponytail to her forehead.

No no no no no get out get out get out

"So how about those waffles now?" Wheatley asked. "I can't wait to see what eating is like!"

Well. At least one of them seemed okay with the situation.

Hint: It was not the lady clawing at the wall behind her, wide-eyed and dragging a hand through her hair, wondering frantically about her sanity.

Then again, when she thought about it (which she did, but only vaguely because there were more important things to think about, like WHY HE WAS IN HER MIND), he'd been built to be a voice in someone else's head. This was probably not new to him, but it still did not explain this whole "waking up in the same body" thing.

why are you in my head how did you get here get out get out

Also there were no waffles on Stacy, stop being ridiculous.

"You know, I'm really not sure what I'm doing here," he said. "But I tell you what, this feels like old times for me! Old hat! I'm just getting back into my old groove! And look on the bright side! Now I can keep an eye on you all the time! Isn't that great?"

The sheer casual tone he seemed to be taking was utterly baffling. Meanwhile, Chell was fighting off an overwhelming panic attack, trying to take stock of the situation. Obviously he could hear her thoughts, see what she was seeing. Feel what she was feeling? Was he just stuck in her head or were they literally sharing a body? Her body?

She was going to find what was going on and she was going to rip him out if she had to.

I don't care I don't care I don't want you here get out GET OUT RIGHT NOW

It seemed, however, that he was missing (or ignoring) a crucial aspect of this strange and unfortunate and inevitably torturous existence. Given the chance, she was going to draw his attention to something that would hopefully make him just as miserable.

If you don't get out you'll have to be a smelly human.

She imagined he would hate that very much.

The voice of Wheatley was silent for a few moments. And then it did what it always did when presented with unpleasant news.

It started screaming.

"AAAAAAH!!! AAAAAAHHHH!!! I DON'T WANT TO BE A SMELLY HUMAN FOREVER!! AAAAAH!!!"
fattynoparents: (does it feel like a trial?)

Chell's answer was very simple, though the sudden shouting was starting to give her a headache.

Then GET OUT RIGHT NOW.

He stopped screaming only long enough to say, "But I don't know how I got here in the first place. I'm not plugged into you anywhere, am I? Because they told me if I ever detach myself from something on purpose I would die, and I'd rather not do that, really."
fattynoparents: (the proper reaction)

[personal profile] fattynoparents 2011-12-01 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
With that, she sank to the floor, pulling her knees to her chest and grinding her knuckles into her forehead, trying to make some sense out of this terrible, horrible, no-good very bad day.

I don't have any plugs. That was stupid. Humans couldn't be plugged into things. You're not plugged into me.

Then what, exactly, was he, and how did he get there? She needed to figure out a few things.

Are you only in my head? Where's your body?

"You know," he said, "I haven't the foggiest. I think I just woke up in here. Kinda roomy in here, actually. That brain damage must have cleared out a lot of space."
