Is Your Love Strong Enough? Part 2 - Personal Interwoven Soulcatchers

Following you awakening and talking with a few of the members through the communication systems by way of the three kind people who had awakened her, Nezaitben realized how the crew was stuck in a terrible mess.

So many of them felt sad and depressed. Considering the entire ship, it wasn't too hard to see why. The next day, there had been an unusual amount of magical flowers spreading all over the ship. Nothing that damaged the controls (she might be naive in the way humanoids were, but Nezaitben was no fool either) but they were found in the most unexpected of places. Her own awakening area was now blooming in a flower paradise, the wooden palace standing proudly on top, the smell and pink cherry blossom strong enough to carry through most of the central city area where most people resided.

Yet the ship was still sad.

This would not do.

That night, or what passed as a night for in the ship, Nezaitben took to the 'sky', letting pieces of her own essence fall on top of the sleeping populace, or those that were not sleeping finding themselves feeling the need too. Enveloping the ship into a peaceful slumber, she searched their dreams. The powers granted to her by the pantheon of gods in her homeworld allowed Nezaitben to weave a series of dreamcatchers giving her the ability to see those whose hearts connected true.

These noble souls would do. Lead by example had always been her philosophy. She would give them a great gift - communication with each other in a single body, allowing them to share everything together. Their two soulcatchers were woven together that night into a single, grand ones, hanging in the garden's trees.

A few minutes later, the empty husks of the bodies that weren't being used showed up at her palace. With a smile, she welcomed them like her own children and began to dress them for their task.

That morning, some of the crewmen would wake up to a strange surprise...and that would just be the beginning of a long, strange misunderstanding and young gods trying too much to please everyone.

[OOC - Just a few rules. Keep in mind the listed rules. You can all start your own threads of waking up in the bodies of others. If you feel like leaving a 2nd post for other people to intact with them, start a reply to your own first post with OPEN header. That way everyone else will know where to post and if you don't feel like having an open interaction post right away, you won't have to!

Ruffnut herself was confused about what had just happened, and tilted back her helmet to scratch at her head curiously, "Uh...stop that." She said carefully, confused and deciding to instantly oppose whatever the ghosts were doing.

She was scratching her head. NO, NO, Ruffnut was scratching her head, but SHE was seeing it and experiencing it and everything! How the hell was this fucking happening?!

Ruffnut, are you hearing me? Just for good measure, she threw the helmet down, just to show the insanity of what was happening. What the fuck is going on?

"Ow." Ruffnut complained out loud and stuck a finger in her ear wiggling it around, "The hell are you yelling for?" She looked dumbly at the helmet on the floor as the pieces started to put together and she looked around the room.

"How are you doing that?" She asked now shifting her accusations from the ghosts to Mindy, thinking to herself This has gotta be some kind of magic thingie she learned right?

But of coarse...Mindy would hear that too.

You dumb ass, don't you get it? I'm IN you! I don;t know what happened, but i was taking a nap in the bed, and now look: we're sharing the same body! Don't believe me?

Mindy moved Ruffnut up the stairs a moment, than had her slide down the banister and flip with almost perfect agility...till she tripped.

Damn skinny limbs of Ruffnut.

"You see that?" Mindy said aloud, in Ruiffnut's voice. "You call THAT not a reason to yell? Where the hell is my body?!"

Ruffnut flailed and yelled as her body was hijacked and once she landed she wrapped her arms around herself "H-hey cut it out!" She ordered and stomped over to a nearby mirror. She didn't see anything different about herself, pulling her eyes open, opening her mouth wide, even pulling up her nose to peer in it.

"This...this is weird." She muttered and then thought No weirder then anything else around here but still...kinda creepy.

"YOU think its weird?" Mindy said, and felt the tug at her nose, wincing. "OW! See that? This is far from weird! This is goddamn fucking nuts! I thought Hana said the ghosts just caused trouble! How the hell are they able to do something like this? And once again, where is my body?"

She stomped around in Ruffnut's boots, seething. And we can hear hear each other, can't we? We're sharing the same body and the same mind!

That actually made Ruffnut smirk "And here I thought my brain was barely big enough for me." She seemed to be taking this alot easier then Mindy, but then again Ruffnut was used to having things she didn't understand thrown at her. She pinched at her arm experimentally.

Is that right? So like...does that mean you can read my mind or whatever? I hope she doesn't find out I've been watching her sleep, she'll think I'm some kind o freak... The unfiltered thoughts of Ruffnut were unstoppable like spoken word.

Of course Mindy was taking this less gracefully than Ruffnut: she still had NO idea where her body was! Until Mindy knew that, she was free to flip out as much as she liked! Granted, at least it was with Ruffnut, someone that she knew, and not some stranger. She guessed there were worse things than being in the mind of her best friend.

Yeah pretty much, not that I'm gonna...wait, I just heard that. Why are you watching me sleep?

That was just...odd. Was she trying to look for her best opening to attack her? Why else?

Ruffnut squirmed and Mindy would have the distinct displeasure of feeling a wave of embarrassment while some unfiltered Nordic curses ran through Ruffnut's head. She was busted and she knew it.

"You um...have a relaxing face..." She tried to explain watching herself in the mirror, her face contorting between embarrassment and confusion.

"Helps me wind down when I'm too buzzed to sleep." She added while in her thoughts Loser...totally lame. She's gonna start locking her door.

Oh, she figured there would be embarrassent on her girlfriend's part: who wanted to admit that something they were doing sounded vaguely creepy? Not that Mindy hadn't had worse shit to worry about though: someone watching her sleep was only enough to really raise an eyebrow.

Not that that line didn't deserve some laughter. "A relaxing face?! Shit, that's news to me! Must be because I don't have the mask on r something. Stupid deceiving childhood looks!"

Of course, there was one other thing she might as well admit. I only probably had that look since living here, Ruffnut. Everywhere else I only got a little bit of sleep, and it was all uncomfortable. I didn't feel like the ship was my home, so I never liked sleeping in teh same place. At your house, its just different.

She let Ruffnut process that a moment before throwing a lightning bolt in the air.

"Fuck, that's neat!"

Ruff laughed relieved to be away from the subject of her watching Mindy sleep "Yeah totally! So wait...you can just, use my body whenever you want?" She braced herself to see if she could stop Mindy from using it.

"We're about to find out!" Mindy said, figuring she could use this as a way of making Ruffnut feel less awkward. She looked up at some of the nearby wall sconces right above them. "Ruffnut went back a few steps, then ran toward the wall, moving fast enough that she ran UP the wall and grabbed the sconce!

Unfortunately, with the added weight of Ruffnut's helmet, not to mention the added weight PERIOD that Mindy wasn't used to, she crashed down immediately and to her surprise, got up quite easily.

"Man, these limbs are springy!" She said, grinning. "If Id done that in MY body, that might have bruised!"

Ruff was laughing so hard neither of them could move much "D-dude, this sucks you didn't even slow down." Which was to be expected because between the two of them Mindy had infinitely more willpower then the impulsive viking girl.

"Speaking of your body..." Ruff began and her thoughts finished it Where is it? If you're in here who's in there?

"Of course I don't slow down," Mindy replied. "And with this body, I actually feel a lot more of a spring in my step! I've never tested out exactly how flexible you are though, now might be a good time to..."

And she was stopped short by a girl who had her hair in pigtails and had a very shiny gold clothes and put a crow of flowers around Ruffnut's neck.

"Spread the word: love rules the day on Stacy!" She exclaimed, giving the viking a hug and leaping away.

"Oh shit, what a..." Mindy started to say, the paused. "Wait a second. That girl..."

If Ruffnut was laughing hard before, this was falling apart. She was doubled up laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes "W-what-" she couldn't finish her question The hell is that?! It's a good thing Mindy has control.

Mindy, however did not respond quite so favorably.

"WHAT THE FUCK?! NO! NO! NOT FUNNY, NOT CUTE, HELL FUCKING NO! I AM NOT SOME LITTLE HIPPIE TWAT THAT CARES ABOUT PEACE AND LOVE! RUFFNUT, SHOOT ME WITH LIGHTNING! I'M NOT GOING AROUND THE SHIP LOOKING LIKE THAT!"

But if Mindy wanted to stop her happy go lucky counterpart she'd have to take charge, because Ruffnut was too busy laughing so hard neither she nor Mindy could breath.

It was just lucky they were sharing the same body, or Mindy would have beaten the shit out of Ruffnut on principal of laughing. Right now though? Her entire focus was on running down the girl that was impersonating her and making her look like some prancing fruitcake. She ran toward the girl (hard to do when Ruffnut herself was still laughing so hard) took aim and landed a lightning bolt dangerously close to the imposter. The girl shrieked and ran off quickly, fast enough that it would have given Mindy a hard time to catch up.

But Mindy was already thoroughly irritated anyway, and just rolled her eyes in disgust.

"What the hell is going on here anyway? Fuck this, we're going to the Overlord. If he's still mad about the Halloween stuff..."

Ruffnut had finally calmed down, "It's a good thing you missed." She wiped a tear from her/their eye. "If you messed that body up where would we send your uh...brain?" She stretched a little and admired the new burn mark in the floor.

"That's just not fair. You've had lightning powers for like five minutes and you're already a better shot then me." Which wasn't saying much.

"If I was a better shot than you I wouldn't have missed!" Mindy replied, glaring at the retreating back of her doppelganger. "But I wasn't going to kill her, just fry her so she didn't cause anymore damage. Fuck, peace and love. What would dad say if he saw this?"

A flash of him in her mind came, and she closed that as soon as she could. If Ruffnut saw into her mind, she would see THAT too, and she wasn't about to let that happen.

"Anyway, just be glad that isn't you. We still have to find out how the hell this happened."

Ruffnut was now actively reeling in her mirth to keep from upsetting Mindy further. "Love ain't so bad..." she remarked blushing a little in reflection and pulling up the memory of their first kiss.

Something they wouldn't be able to do again if they didn't sort this mess out.

"Oh." Mindy stopped the anger dead in her tracks, not expecting that memory to surface so quickly. "Well, no, not...I mean, you know, not all dumb and stuff, like that girl. Ours is...well, you know. It makes me happy, not like this situation."

She was glad it was Ruffnut blushing right now, not her. I was sorta worried you'd be grossed out the first time, honestly. I know vikings don't usually do what we do.

"Yeah well..." Ruffnut shuffled her feet sheepishly "I just kinda...roll with it." She grinned at no one in particular.

She started at a trot after the hijacked body of Mindy. "I'm sure we can get it back and figure this out. Just try and have some fun." That was the Ruffnut way of life.

"Rolling my ass," Mindy said, snickering. "You don't roll into shit: you JUMP into it, with both feet forward, and then just hopefully land on them both but usually don't. You're fucking out of your head, and that's coming from someone who knows they're crazy. But that's what I always liked about you. It's why I know you'll make a kick ass overlord someday."

She frowned. "Fun huh? Well, as long as I have this body, might as well use it."

"Ruffnut" rushed outside, taking breaths. Then she took a long breath, and let loose with a furious lightning strike that seemed to light the city for a brief second.

"Ha ha, sweet! Morgan's training applies here too!"

Ruffnut was leaning back and letting Mindy take the lead, laughing as she watched Mindy experience the same rush that she felt every time the lightning burst from her skin.
