Showdown (Open)
How long had it been since Negi could truly cut loose? It had been quite a long time and Chamo and Barry were looking out for one another.
Stepping into the sensoriums, Negi looked over at the recreation of the Gravekeeper's Palace floating overhead. He could remember most of it, from regaining his memories of the attack that ruined the magical world and earth in a simultaneous blow, but stepping forward was Fate, the pale haired boy giving him a silent look.
The pair stared at each other for a long moment, and then seconds later, exploded into energy. Fists crashed against each others cheeks in a cross-counter as they skidded backwards.
"Come, Negi. Show me your plan." intoned Fate.
Negi grinned as his form changed, invoking his most powerful ability. His hair fanned out and became a long pink swathe of hair as his body glowed in a brilliant pink light as he shot forward, Fate coming to meet him in a devastating blow. The sound of violence could DEFINITELY be heard from behind the door in the sensorium, as the pair rained blow after blow down in a dizzying volley.

Unless he was grossly mistaken, a Hermetic was fighting like an Akashic. THAT didn't happen often, if ever. The two Traditions barely even tolerated each other these days. What a weird place, this ship.

The pair were flying as well, just to be of note.

As well as the speed. Aboard this ship he couldn't even begin to access the Time Sphere for even the most basic sense of time's passing, let alone any sort of contraction or dilation. If he had to guess...
He made a brief motion with his hand, a hypercondensed version of a kata, to study the flow of chi. That made everything clear -- a massive mixture of Life, Forces, Prime, and Mind. A hell of a ritual undertaking, in other words.
Far too much movement, to his thinking, though. Otherwise magnificent.

Negi looked over and nodded. "We'll do this later then."
Bowing, Fate vanished as Negi floated down, the crisp tang of ozone around him. "Hi there!"

Needless to say, she wasn't impressed. No matter how good it actually was, Alend wouldn't have been impressed either way since she could see Negi was some kind of human. The powers made her even more wary since that meant he was particularly vulnerable to being corrupted. She watched through the red eyes of her helmet, snorting every so often at what she perceived was a mistake.

"Hold," said Fate holding up a hand. "You've got a guest, Negi-kun."
Looking down at the newcomer, Negi touched down and waved. "Hi there! Come to use the sensorium?"
no subject
She didn't wave in reply, however, already setting a bad precedent of not being quite so nice. She didn't even leave the spot she was standing in.
"However, I do have one question and a word to say with you."

Drawing himself up, he matched her point. "Technically not anymore. I'm a monster, somewhere between a demon and a human now. It's due to my abilities that I took on. However, I still identify myself as at least holding humanity in some fashion."
There, the honest truth.

Fate nodded, and he pointed to Sasami. "You have a guest again."

Negi followed close behind. "Fate uh, this is Sasami. Sasami, Fate." He mouthed, 'sensorium' as Fate nodded at her.
"Well well, Negi-kun. I knew you attracted princesses to you, but I didn't think you would attract such a cute one YOUR age." remarked Fate, his expression never changing.
"FFFF," grumbled Negi. "Fate, don't make me dispel you."
"Please, you won't last five seconds without me being in here."
no subject
"I-It's nice to meet you, Fate." she said. "Was I interrupting anything? If I was, I'm sorry...!"
no subject
Negi sighed. "It's okay, we're just finishing up here. Want to watch the tail end of it?"

Of course, now she realized that she had specifically found him, though not as peacefully as she would have liked. She was silent for a moment, watching him as he fought Fate, a villain she had seen in his memory before. The smirk on Negi's face, the way his hair got longer: it was all foreign to her, but she watched all the same. She knew better than to get involved into a fight that wasn't hers: he had his own rights to fighting as she did.
But she made sure her eyes didn't miss anything. If this was a fight, and this was an ability Negi possessed, she wanted to be sure it did him no harm.

Negi recovered quickly. "Who is it?"
"Kaya."
"Right. Hold on then." And he slammed Fate into the wall as he floated down to greet Kaya. "Hey Oneesama. What's up?"
no subject
"I was looking for you actually," Kaya confessed, "since we haven't been able to gang out too much. Since when were you able to fight like this? I thought you used magic! And what's with the pink hair?"
no subject
"Berserk," pointed out Fate.
"Yeah that. I basically mastered that ability. This is the result."
no subject
"Are you absolutely sure that nothing bad will happen to you, being in this form, Negi-otouto?"
no subject
He didn't want her to worry of course, and tell her of the trials he undertook when Kain's corruption seeped into him.
