Welcome to Orongo
Once those who decided to go along on the mission were gathered on the Obs Deck and had time to go over the mission briefing, the detachment procedures began.
As with the missions before, the doors to the Obs Deck closed before it detached itself from Stacy, tethered by a massive umbilical cord. Those who had been on missions before would find the experience familiar if still somewhat unpleasant, but for those of whom this was their first mission, the sudden lack of gravity and lurching feeling as they entered the atmosphere would come as a surprise.
Thankfully though, the ride was quickly over as they landed safely on the planet below, the gravitational dampeners of the Obs Deck gently dropping the crew members back on their feet. One of the walls opened up, forming a ramp to the ground below. There was a sudden, slight gust of air as the door opened as the thick air rushed in. Even so, the air felt quite warm and refreshing.
Looking outside, the crew would see the bright yellow sun looming overhead, quite close in comparison to the sun on most planets. A handful of small, silver clouds dotted the blueish purple sky.
Ahead of them stood a rather impressive looking plateau, surrounded by a tall, ornate stone wall which was covered in tribal markings. Directly ahead was a large gate through the wall, with several small stone buildings in front of it. Beyond the gates, a larger settlement could be seen. Surrounding the plateau and covering the surrounding region were numerous strange, blue and purplish trees and plants.

Re: Stepping outside
Sho frowns when he hears about Draenor.
"I'm sorry. That's two homes you've had taken from you. Maybe we can talk about something else, if you want."
Re: Stepping outside
"It is sad, but we are here to get it all back, right? On Stacy, doing missions, all of it. I am not upset, since I am doing something about it. There were still parts of Draenor left, and Azeroth was a good place."
No need to do any of it dishonor by not speaking of good memories!
Re: Stepping outside
Sho stretches, wondering if his Earth was really worth bringing back.
"Now that I think about it, I'd probably prefer living somewhere else."
Re: Stepping outside
"I am curious about Earth, though it would probably take a great deal for me to fit in." Ever try hiding a seven foot tall space goat?
Re: Stepping outside
"Yeah, you would really stick out, at least on most Earth's I think. There's certainly not nearly as much diversity when it comes to sentient life, compared to Azeroth."
Re: Stepping outside
They tended to explode, in impressive and destructive fashion, after all.
"Though not being chased would be a good thing. You could always come to Azeroth! You would not be strange, there. Plenty of humans, especially in Stormwind."
Re: Stepping outside
"I hope that a Guyver wouldn't stand out too much, but from what I've heard of Azeroth, it probably wouldn't." He grins humorously at Alastirra.
Re: Stepping outside
"I am not so certain about the powers it gives you," Alastirra said honestly, narrowing one eye in thought. "But I am fairly sure there would be some way to explain it off. Heroes tend to be an odd sort anyway. Especially there."
She seemed confident that she could pull it off, in any case.
Re: Stepping outside
"Maybe I could just tell people it's magic armor that gives me my powers. Which is sort of what it already is.
Re: Stepping outside
The shaman nodded. "Magical armor is not unheard of either. Most armor and weapons have at least minor enchantments of sorts in them, so that would not be unusual at all. You might get the occasional curious gnome or goblin wanting to know how it works, but...that's normal, too." She laughed.
Re: Stepping outside
Sho thinks for a moment more. "You keep mentioning Goblins and Gnomes. What are they like exactly? They don't sound like the kind I've heard of before."
Re: Stepping outside
"Well. Gnomes are about three feet tall and pink-skinned, usually, though they are close to humans in that color variation. Their hair, on the other hand--pinks, blues, greens, and regular human colors. They are rather mechanically inclined, but the same can be said of goblins as well," the shaman explained.
"Goblins are a little taller, and their skins are shades of green. They are somewhat commercialized, and like seeing how wild their imaginations can run when it comes to their inventions. Sometimes they do not think everything through. Probably why one of their mottos is 'Goblin products are built to blast!'" Alastirra laughed at that. "It's very true. They are known for their explosions."
Re: Stepping outside
A something occurs to Sho at that moment. "Ah, now I remember. In my world, most things like goblins and orcs and trolls and werewolves were just myths and fairy tails, but they were inspired by real zoanoids."
Re: Stepping outside
"I seem to remember you saying those Zoanoids had ties to this Chronos thing you fought, though, yes?"
Re: Stepping outside
"In my universe, the human race was created by aliens as the base for zoanoids, to use as soldiers in a war. That was millions of years ago. Some humans found ways to turn into zoanoids after those aliens left, and they inspired the legends of monsters in my world." Sho takes a moment to think and catch his breath.
"Cronos somehow found out all this, and how to create zoanoids. I'm not really sure just how long it was around though."
Re: Stepping outside
"I suppose there are many similarities that can be drawn, though, if one looks for them."
