There's Snow Place Like Home [Bendytimed to between the Ohm simulation and the Second Life plot]
A recent walk through the hangar had confirmed to Jamie that the TARDIS had been put back into whatever place it was that Stacy stored ships when their owners were in the pods. Overall, it didn't make too much difference - none of them had been able to get into it anyway. Still, he had liked to slip away from time to time just to take a look at it and remember the adventures he had gone on with the Doctor. Part of him had been hoping somehow that it would have stayed somewhere where he could do that again. Even though he hadn't really admitted it to his friends, he missed the Time Lord not being around.
So it may not come as much of a surprise that the Sensoriums currently has a TARDIS in it. The wide expanse of snow surrounding it might be a little more unusual, but it does provide an easy way to figure out where the current creator of this particular scenario would be - should anyone care to follow the Jamie-sized footprints to the door of the seemingly blue wooden box. If not, well, there's a lot of the white stuff just sitting around waiting for someone to do something with it.
((OOC: Jamie is in the TARDIS if you want to pester him but if for some reason anyone wants to just use the setting for their own-snow related threads, feel free. Just mention somewhere if you're going in the TARDIS or if you want Jamie to come outside.))

Turlough walked up the TARDIS and gave it a hard kick. Which he reflected after he let out a Trion curse, wasn't terribly wise and quite painful.
no subject
He had just been about to turn away to go see what else he could remember using from the console when he caught a glimpse of another crew member, just as the other man gave the TARDIS a good, hard kick. Jamie frowned, irrationally annoyed by the gesture. He moved around to throw the lever that would open the doors leading outside.
A moment later, a rather annoyed looking Scotsman stuck his head out from the blue doors and scowled at Turlough. "Hey, what do ye think ye are doing?"

He folded his arms against his chest. "What made ye decide to go and do that, anyway?"

"I don't suppose you'd be willing to tell me who ye are, at least?" It seems only fair to find out who he's talking to, after all.

"I'm Jamie. Hey, wait... You're in Engineering, are ye not?"

And sometimes a prank on a friend wasn't a bad idea either. Alex could only think of one person who would have the TARDIS in the sensoriums. Jamie.
With sensorium-made gloves, Alex packed up a few snow balls and pushed open the door to the TARDIS, calling out, "Jamie?"
no subject
He's so caught up in searching that he fails to notice Alex approach until his name is called. Glancing up from the chest, he turns towards the direction of the sound with a slightly puzzled look on his face.
"Hey?"

"Hey!"
He should have expected it, really, when he decided to stick the TARDIS in the middle of a field of snow. Right. Challenge accepted.
"Oh, I see. Let's find out how much ye like it, then!
Quickly, Jamie makes a dash for the still-open doors, all the better to get outside and getting some snow of his own for retaliation. It's a risky move - depending on how many snowballs Alex has, Jamie could get well-pelted before he gets outside. And yes, he could think up more snow inside the TARDIS, but where's the fun in that?

He dives outside, scooping up the snow with his bare hands, and makes a small sound as his fingers immediately get quite cold. No time to think up a pair of gloves just yet, though. Instead, he quickly packs a snowball and throws it at Alex as accurately as he can - considering he's still on the run to avoid being hit again.
"I'll not go down so easily!"
no subject
Shaking the snow of he bent over and made another snowball before chasing after Jamie some more and tossing another at him, laughing. He was so glad he had the time to think up gloves before his attack.
But really, how could he have not engaged his friend in a snowball fight when the TARDIS was surrounded with nothing but snow?
no subject
He doesn't seem to mind, though. Far from it - he actually turns and grins back at the hacker after he's hit. Maybe he needed something like this to prevent him from getting too maudlin about missing the Doctor. And, hey, he can show Alex the TARDIS like he promised.
Later, that is, as he scoops up some more snow and hurls it towards Alex. The battle isn't over just yet.

Alex fares poorly in open combat XD
Naw, surely not. XD
Check out this brilliant move!

The ice crunches nicely under her feet, all the way up to the wooden box. Kaylee is unsure of where exactly to start, and runs a hand over the wooden panels a couple times before doing the silly thing and knocking.
no subject
Caught up in trying to figure it out, it takes him a moment for him to notice the knocking. Once it finally gets his attention, though, he glances up at the monitor and a broad smile appears. Just the person he wants to see! Going over to the lever that opens the doors, he pulls it and they start to swing open.
As they do so, he steps to the side and out of the way of an immediate glance from someone coming in. If anyone deserves a chance to simply gawk at the inside of the TARDIS without Jamie getting in the way, it's Kaylee.
no subject
Several seconds are spent with Kaylee simply standing there in mildly confused awe. A hand comes up to double check that it really is just a small wooden box before she tentatively steps inside, glancing at Jamie as she does so. She pauses halfway through the door to double-check the outside again, then gives Jamie an excited grin and moves forward quickly to the central panels.
"She always like this, or just in here? What's she runnin' on? What's this do..." Kaylee trails off, head disappearing to check under the panels.
no subject
There's certainly enough things under the panels to get her attention, what with the various parts the Doctor's got hooked up down there - not to mention the panel containing the emergency unit that wound up sending them to the Land of Fiction. A lot of the wiring is still a bit of a cat's cradle to Jamie, but it should prove fascinating for the mechanic. There's also a handle down there if she needs it to hold on to, although he doesn't think she does, since they're not moving.
"Now, look, I'll not be able to answer your questions if ye keep asking them that fast," he says, dryly. "Which one do ye want me to start with?"
no subject
Once she's somewhat satisfied with looking at the circuitry she pops back up and grins at Jamie.
"How's she run, then?"
no subject
He knows well enough what she means, though, and starts to point out various controls on the console to her. "These ones control our flight, here, and these would be the dials that tell ye if you'll be able to breathe if ye go outside."
Those are only a few of the various dials and switches that cover the console. There's also ones to monitor the levels from the emergency power booster, ones to make adjustments to the fluid links, and a whole lot of ones that Jamie has absolutely no idea what they do. He moves away from those, searching for something in particular.
"Where is it...ah. Here's the wee gadget that tells ye to go somewhere else if there's any danger." He gives it a bit of a look. "Not that that's worked so well before, mind ye."
no subject
She all but hovers over Jamie as he explains everything he knows. It's hard, being so eager and anxious to fiddle with things but not wanting to just in case something went wrong. Then again, they are in the Sensoriums, so if something goes wrong it'll be easy enough to take care of.
In any case, she's like a kid in a holographic toy store. You can play all you want, and half of it doesn't work exactly right because it's still in the box, but you can't take any of it home.
The mechanic peers at the last mechanism, laughing. "Seems like they never work the way you want 'em too. But, it's the way the 'verse works, I s'pose."
no subject
He does step back from the console, though, and says dryly, "So do ye want to see if ye can figure out how to fly her, or do ye want to take the tour instead?" Not that she would actually fly, but Jamie figures he can think up someplace else for the outside and make it seem like it did. Or he can think up the rest of the interior, which would take...quite a while.
It's all up to what Kaylee wants to do.

It's magic text that scans as perfectly normal at 5 am.
Apparently so, if you were able to write a coherent response after reading it.
