Meet-n-Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Yes, I am one of the crew members. Everyone you see here has been Chosen to survive their world's destruction, and more crew members wait in stasis below. If you have not located anyone familiar to you, they may still be asleep."

She hoped they were. Stacy had said at least some of them were. Starfire brushed off the other woman's defensiveness, more than used to this sort of treatment.

"I... I haven't." She wished that would change, and soon, though. "Well, no one except Hakkar." Namira put her hand on Hakkar's head. The big dog hadn't stepped down from alert, yet, but after a few strokes of her fingers, his tongue lolled out of his mouth.

Starfire nodded. "I only have one of my teammates, and many others have none. But your Hakkar appears to be a wonderful companion."

Loyal, defensive, what wasn't there to love? He would probably never like her, but that was all right.

"Our food is an amorphous substance served in the mess hall, but you may be able to find other items for Hakkar in Hydroponics." She liked the slop. No one else did. "We also have maps and data files loaded onto the omnicoms for you to get your bearings with."
