Meet-n-Greet

The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.

Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.

There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

Hikari nodded. "Yeah, I've heard that there's a chance that our worlds could be restored after we finish dealing with the Ohm. It's really all the hope a lot of us have to hold on to..."

Oh. Of course. Stacy hadn't outright said it, but it made sense considering what she'd said about the Ohm. Destroyers of worlds...

"Oh," Nunnally said simply, a little quieter.

Hikari frowned. "You... didn't know?"

"I didn't realize," she replied. "I... I guess I should have, huh?"

Hikari shook her head, moving a bit closer to Nunnally... although she wasn't sure if she should give the other girl a hug or not. "I guess... it depends. I mean, I had to fight to save my world before so I guess it just came to me a bit easier..."

"You did? Ah... I had to sit that fight out," Nunnally admitted. "I mean, it wasn't the same fight as yours, probably, anyway." She was babbling, so she stopped; and when she thought about it, maybe she had saved the world, although she'd been the one threatening it in the first place. "Ah, it's all right. I'm sure I can handle it, Hikari. But thanks for letting me know."

Hikari smiled. "Don't mention it. Hopefully you'll find some other's from your world here..."

"Hopefully. And I hope you do, too." She nodded for emphasis. "Good luck!"

Hikari smiled. "Hey, we can look together if you want..."

"That sounds like fun!" It kind of did, actually. "Where should we start? Just by... wandering around?"

Hikari smiled. "Pretty much. It can be surprisingly effective at times, an everyone who woke up recently is here... although there is a virus going around now that has some of the crew quarantined..." She frowned, trailing off at that.

"A virus?" she repeated. That sounded bad. "It's... not deadly, is it?"

"I don't think so," Hikari said. "Right now it's just making people who are infected... a lot more aggressive."

She shook her head. "I mean, I guess it could be eventually, but we have the medical team making sure that won't happen and they're working on a cure so... hopefully..."

"Ah..." As if she didn't have enough to be worried about. Now she just had to hope that if she did have friends on board the ship, they weren't among the afflicted. "Well, as long as there are doctors working on it..."

This was getting worse and worse... Nunnally forced herself to smile and held a hand out to Hikari.

"Let's go look for our friends."

Hikari smiled back, taking Nunnally's hand in hers. "Sure... let's go..."
