Meet-n-Greet
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their numbers. After the revelation that their worlds are gone, many of them are even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Several people are set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings. New crew-mates might see a tall man in green armor and snake girl among their number. There are also several authoritative-looking figures ready to introduce themselves.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.
[ooc: Only new characters and Command Staff can start new threads for introductions, to limit the number of threads. Everyone else, just tag in and have your guys greet the newbies.]

"Ditto. I was starting to think I'd have to go find you in the pod caverns myself."

Then he held her at arm's length and had a look at her, switching back into Brother Mode. "Are you okay? Did you just get here too?"
no subject
"No. I've been awake for over a year, now."
no subject
He squeezed her shoulder as the relaxed expression on his face dropped. "What are you talking about, a year? I just saw you last month. We went to dinner, remember?" Was she not feeling well either?
no subject
"But I've been out for a year, and you've been sleeping. So... where it's only been a month since you saw me, it's been a year, for me."
no subject
"What the hell is going on here?" he muttered. "This is messed up."
no subject
"Short version? Our universe got destroyed by a bunch of #^&@ed up aliens, and this ship saved our lives, so that we could fight the aliens."
no subject
He let out a heavy sigh, shaking his head and putting his hands on her shoulders again. "If our whole universe is gone, I don't know what I'd do if you weren't here." At the same time, he didn't like the idea of his little sister being drafted into an intergalactic war.
"Are you sure you're all right?"
no subject
"There's actually some stuff going on, right now. A virus got leaked, and some people were infected." she waved her hand before he could freak out clarifying. "It's been contained, and we're pretty sure there's a cure. People are just... trying to work on it, right now. That's actually kind of why I'm up here. A lot of our greeter staff is infected or otherwise detained."
no subject
But apparently, that wasn't the priority at the moment. "All this and a viral outbreak, too." Chris shoved his hair back out of his face and smirked, vaguely. "That's what I get for trying to take a vacation, finally. Is it one of Umbrella's?"
no subject
"No, been there, done that. It's something new, that the crew that was here before us probably developed. It's supposed to be to fight the Ohm, but apparently, it works on us, too." Which was pretty much the entire reason why using viruses to fight anything was stupid as hell.

Chris looked almost wistful as he sighed again. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
no subject
"Leon'll be happy for extra help with helping subdue people to get them into isolation, I'm sure. But first I should probably... catch you up. And get you some real pants, I know those plant suits aren't comfy." She smiled slightly at him, before her hand slid down to his, tugging gently. "We stopped off at a resort planet a few months back, and I made sure to pick some stuff up in your size. Just in case you showed up."
no subject
At the news there were regular clothes waiting for him, Chris was visibly relieved. "Oh, thank god. I don't really like the whole skintight look on me," he said, letting her tug him along behind her. "Good thing I have a very thoughtful little sister."
no subject
"I've really missed you, Chris."
no subject
"You didn't need to worry though. You know I'll always be around to look out for you. Even if it is in outer space."

"I hope you didn't freak out too badly this time." He did have the mental image of her searching around those creepy pod caverns with a flashlight.

"But pants first, if you don't mind."
no subject
"Pants first it is."
