Reign of Destruction
By this point, the Ohm had spread all across the planet.
Destruction spread throughout the cities of Zokez II. There were evacuees that still needed to escape. People that needed saving.
It was time for the crew to do what they did best.

The same chilling, gripping fear that Nanoha had felt clawed at Fate's heart, and the world seemed to shrink; all she could see was her daughter, bleeding and on the verge of passing out, and the enemies between them.
"Sonic Move."
In a flash, Fate was on the roof, and any Shrikes in between had been sliced cleanly in half. Her fear ebbed just a little as she saw Matt begin to heal her daughter, but she still looked very panicked. She knew she had to continue fighting, but like Nanoha, she couldn't just leave....

A pause - they couldn't stop. If they stopped, how many more might die? "...Nanoha-mama has to go protect people, but she'll be back with you as soon as she can. O... okay?" Her voice cracked, despite her best efforts to hide it.
"Rein-chan..." she looked over at the tiny Unison Device as she squeezed Vivio's hand one more time. The shock and horror she had felt was slowly ebbing away, replaced by nothing more than a cold resolve to make the ones who had done this to Vivio hurt. So they couldn't do it to anyone else. "Come with me."
She gave mental command and a muttered "Blaster Level 3, release," to Raising Heart: "Power Lock canceled. Booster Level Maximum."

No one screwed with Vivio, she was HER FRIEND.

A string of words escaped him, alien in nature, Meridian language and chants. Mixing with the Chaos Words of Kandrakar, he brought all his power to bear.
There was a flash, and a explosion of light for a brief moment before he removed his hands, still bloody, but the wound was closed. He wiped his forehead, leaving a streak of blood to color his forehead and locks of hair. "She's stabilized, but I'll need to get her to the hospital area to recover fully."
Matt made a tch noise. "I'll have to teleport her there."
And he pulled out a piece of chalk and started to sketch a circle around them.

"...be careful, Nanoha-mama." Vivio whispered. "...you, too, Fate-mama..."
As Reinforce Zwei left her to join Nanoha and Matt prepared to spirit her away, the girl smiled at the two, weakly.
"...I'll be okay... just like you said... I love you both..."
no subject
"I'll leave her in your care, then."
She offered Vivio a reassuring smile, stood, and raised her sword. "Let's go, Bardiche."
"Get Set."
"Overdrive, True Sonic Form!"
"Sonic Drive!"
Golden light, as bright as the blade clenched in her hand, surrounded Fate, and her barrier jacket changed. The cape and military-like clothes disappeared, and a black leotard took their place. Her gloves were replaced with metal gauntlets, and her boots were also replaced with metal. She could feel the magic coursing through her as the transformation was completed, the shift as all of her defenses were turned into pure speed.
Fate was untouchable in this form. These Ohm were going down.

--Keep their attention on us!-- She called telepathically to all involved, markings flaring brighter yet than before, a seeming copy of herself appearing to her right, then another above her and another, illusionary copies forming rapidly about her, each looking in all ways the same as her as she shot up toward the Ohm, each illusion weaving and dodging separately from her even as she did the same.
That same Blade pointed shield forming infront of each and every one of her, all illusions bar the real one. Shooting up and into the Shrikes, seeking to disable, down or distract a good portion of them with her threat.

He faltered in the air, and almost lost his gun, as he said over the comm link, We need to distract them more. Get them away from the target. Anybody still there? He thought he saw somebody else get attacked. He tried to stave the wound as best as he could.

I am here. She replied. What should I do?

"Are you ready, Rein?" The girl's hair was a pale lavender, though she didn't have time to focus on the physical changes the Unison had wrought, nor the strange feeling of another mind and magic melded to hers - let alone taken in conjunction with the painful power surging through her body as a result of the Blaster System.
"We won't hold back. Let's destroy them before they can hurt anyone else." She blinked away watery eyes, wishing desperately she could be at Vivio's side, and leveled Raising Heart at the thickest of the fighting.
"Blaster-3!" A cartridge loaded with a loud 'thunk.' "Excelion Buster."
The sky lit up with a massive magenta beam that left countless explosions in its wake. That would do as a nice distraction for now.

She was nothing but a yellow blur as she followed in the aftermath of Nanoha's attack, hacking and slashing at the Ohm before they could realize what was happening. Shrike after Shrike fell out of the sky, and each attack they threw at her flew harmlessly past.
This wasn't a rage-fueled rampage, though. She was angry, yes, and if anyone was able to catch a glimpse of her, they'd be able to see the anger on her face, mixed in with her determination to take these creatures down. But she had to remain focused, had to keep her head clear and her senses sharp. Not just for the people below, or for Matt and Vivio still on the roof, but for herself as well.
If she got careless, if she let the Shrikes get a solid hit on her... it was all over.

All but a few peeled off from chasing the distractions, the rest moving head on towards Nanoha, coming in from every angle, dodging and weaving to make themselves more difficult targets.
Yet all of these were merely distractions themselves.
Instead, the real attack was coming from one Shrike in particular, which emanated with an unearthly glow, and rocketed straight towards Nanoha at an almost impossible speed. What was giving this Shrike such unnatural energy was uncertain, but it was easy to tell that whatever it was, it was dangerous.

Then to Nanoha herself, --looks like you've got a good deal of their attention, watch yourself-- With that she refocussed her energy, she and her clone copies weaving back and forth, markings flaring as she would do her best to protect the distraction group with temporary shields where needed.
To those nearby, even as she reached out telepathic --if you allow me a small telepathic link I can provide further distractions such as those with me here, hopefully we can confuse them-- Indicating her illusionary clones that dodged and weaved about her.

Nanoha was grateful for the assistance, though it was hard to concentrate on anything but the battle over the sound of her heart pounding in her ears and the painful throb of blood through her veins. "I don't care how many of you there are," she said quietly, remembering the iron determination of a small knight with long red hair. "I won't let you beat us here...!"
"Watch out, my master!"
Nanoha's eyes went wide and she spun around just in time to see the glowing Shrike speeding at her - her hand went up as fast as she could. "Round Shield." The magical barrier flickered into life.
Hopefully this would hold them.

Nanoha's shield would hold against the impact of the attack--barely--but it wasn't intent on skewering her. Instead, at the moment it struck the shield, psychic lashes whipped around it, not to wound but to grab hold of Nanoha.
In that split second it grabbed her, it used its momentum to continue rocketing straight towards the ground, intent on slamming her straight into the earth below.
The other Shrikes peeled off, moving to surround the others, harrying them to keep them from saving the unusual Shrike's target.

As soon as she saw it grab Nanoha, saw it start plummeting towards the ground, she summoned several magical orbs, shooting them out towards the Shrikes surrounding her. With her surroundings a little more clear, she shot off like a bullet towards the glowing Ohm, sword ready to strike. If she couldn't cut whatever was binding Nanoha, she'd just cut through the Shrike itself.
She already saw these things strike down Vivio. She was not going to let them hurt Nanoha, too.

It was so single-minded, in fact, that it seemed to pay no mind to the fact that its body seemed to become very brittle for some reason, to the point that one of its wings actually snapped off. But it pushed on regardless.

It didn't work. Not fully. And Nanoha knew she only had seconds left before they hit the ground. Sure, with her Barrier Jacket she'd probably survive, but she'd be out of the fight and she couldn't afford to have that happen.
It was hard to move, but she managed a quick mental spell, and a magenta orb swelled between her and the Shrike, suddenly detonating - it hurt, but she didn't dwell on it, suddenly throwing all of her power into her flight ability. Hopefully it would loosen the Ohm's grip enough for her to break free.
If not, hopefully her flight ability would help slow the descent and lessen the impact.

The other Shrikes, however, seemed to move with a new vigor as they harried the other warriors, right at the moment the glowing Shrike was vaporized.
