Reign of Destruction
By this point, the Ohm had spread all across the planet.
Destruction spread throughout the cities of Zokez II. There were evacuees that still needed to escape. People that needed saving.
It was time for the crew to do what they did best.

Makeshift Medical
But not everyone was that lucky. There were some people that had been hit by debris from the Ohm, there were those that had been struck by other panicked evacuees and been run over. Those people were cut up pretty badly, and she was glad that some of the experienced doctors had the things they needed to patch them up. Unfortunately, the injuries were starting to get worse and that wasn't all. Now the people who were actually fighting the Ohm were showing up, they did not get away with barely a scratch. Now she was starting to see familiar faces.
It was time for the medic staff to really get to work.
Re: Makeshift Medical
The children did not complain that she was using blood to heal them at least. It made them feel better, and that was all they were concerned about.
Re: Makeshift Medical
He was both a warrior and a healer. He was a survivalist and there was neither good nor evil about that. Renne had fought as well as he could but as much as he wanted to continue, his mind had persuaded him to try helping in this branch of things.
Although still in his starry-armour regalia, the creature had long since dismounted from the illusion-unicorn of earlier and quietly crawls toward the sound of a medical triage.
Re: Makeshift Medical
Logic dictated that some could not be moved without risk of further trauma.
Logic dictated that there, he could do some good. So there, Renne went and to the first life-form he came across, the Healer instinct in him flared like a nova.
With life so close to the line, the Empath had to forego the tenets of permission. With life so close on the line, Renne did what he knew he could do.
Re: Makeshift Medical
"Gather together, that's it, that's it... perfect. Hold that pose."
Matt held out his hands and concentrated, making damn sure he was well away from Renne when he did this. No sense to throw the little dude into a fit.
A minute. Two.
"GET BETTER DAMN YOU!"
Light flashed and people found their injuries healed.
Re: Makeshift Medical
Jenny hadn't really seen anything like this before, but she was prepared. The way she had been born, the thoughts that had been downloaded into her mind made her prepared. And, as much as she tried to deny that part of herself, to deny the soldier in her, sometimes it took over. It had to, so that she could survive, so that she could keep a level head and help other people who were in danger.
So, holding the young girl tight against her chest, she did her best to find some sort of medical help. The young girl, no older than three or four, had been wailing when Jenny first found her, her leg bent at an odd angle. Now her cries had settled down to whimpers, though she wasn't so sure that was a good thing. Maybe the little girl was going into shock. That thought alone pushed Jenny to walk faster as she whispered comforting words into the girl's brown curls.
Finally, having spotted where the medical team had set up shop, she rushed towards them. Just as she was about to set the girl down on a bed, to ask for help, her whole world went white. And, when her eyes adjusted, she found that the little girl was healed.
Re: Makeshift Medical
Walking over to Jenny, he bent over the little girl. "Hey kiddo, looks like you got a shot of my healing magic," he said to her.
Looking up, he smiled at Jenny. "welcome to the med bay. I'm Matt, and I'll be your healer."
Re: Makeshift Medical
The little girl burrowed up against Jenny as the man spoke to her. Jenny held the toddler tighter, whispering, "Hey, it's all right. No need to be shy. Look at that, he fixed your leg, good as new..."
Jenny, of course, grinned back at Matt, "Nice to meet you, I'm Jenny. Thank you so much for your help. I think she was starting to go into shock." As if on cue, the little girl turned to look at Matt, a tiny smile on her face.
Re: Makeshift Medical
"And not a problem. Any injuries for yourself?"
Re: Makeshift Medical
The little girl giggled as the ribbon tickled her, squirming to the point where Jenny had to put her down. The girl bounced up and down as she attempted to catch the ribbon, as if she felt the need to test out her newly-healed leg.
Jenny shook her head while keeping an eye on the girl, "No, no injuries. Besides...I seem to heal pretty fast."

Swallowing his own fear (what if they failed here? What if they were forced to leave before the whole crew had returned?), Simon tried his best to concentrate on the task at hand--calming and treating the civilians injured in their escape to the shuttles. He would be no use to anyone if he let worrying get the better of him. This is why Stacy had chosen him, and he was determined to do his job.

He didn't realize someone else was there for a while. "Dr. Tam, if you've got a hand to lend for a couple minutes, I could use it. She's losing too much blood too quickly for this to be a one-man job."
Re: Makeshift Medical
But, she digresses, and keeps her stances. Pheromones outpour, calm and soothing, tranquil and light, soft and warm... Happy thoughts. Caaaaaaaalm thoughts. Waterfalls. Clouds. Bunnies. Kittens. Buddha.
The pheromones seep into the people, calming down a flighty person, easing the tension in the small children, causing the most argumentative and nasty-mooded in this time of battle...to come to agreements.
Please. Safe. Help others. Be a friend. Move in straight lines. Keep together. All together. One big team. Cooperate. Everything will be alright.
She perseveres to continue to think this. Because if she stops thinking this, then her pheromones will begin to unravel.
Re: Makeshift Medical
Sasami limped to the where the triage was, the fight in her spent. As much as she wanted to jump back in, she wanted to relax. She took a seat nearby, trying to make sure those who needed it weren't deprived of one.
As she did, she willed the armor away, allowing her wounds to be shown better. She would catch her breath, tend to her wounds, then hopefully either hop back in or pull a retreat.
At the moment, she was worried about Negi and his state...
Re: Makeshift Medical
"Come here Sasami," Katara said, and she examined the cuts carefully. "I saw you limping out there, and you still came. You must be pretty strong! What have you been doing during the attack?"
She brought the water to her hands and started in her shoulder.
Re: Makeshift Medical
Sasami blinked in surprise as Katara called out to her before changing the look into one of relief.
"Before helping Negi?" Sasami asked. "Helping rescue some puppies from those creatures... I couldn't let anyone get hurt... I had to get out there."
Re: Makeshift Medical
She smiled. "But I know what you mean. It's why I'm here now. We're hoping to get as many evacuees off the planet that we can. We've been pretty busy."
Re: Makeshift Medical
Sasami blushed as Katara made mention of the drink they had. She hadn't expect it to be alcoholic nor the fact that they passed out in his room in each other's arms. Then again, it was nice...
"...it's rough out there. They won't stop." Sasami said. "...I want to go back out there and help, especially since Negi's out there."
She lowered her head slightly, a small smile on her face. "I care about him... a lot." She looked back at Katara, a sheepish grin on her face. "...I'm sure you understand, don't you?"
Re: Makeshift Medical
She smiled. "I got that, yeah. You were the one that smacked him that one time, weren't you?"
Re: Makeshift Medical
Sasami's face turned even redder as Katara brought that incident up.
"Y-Yeah... that was me. He was just so lost in his anger and he needed something to snap him out so... I... slapped him." she said, fidgeting a bit. "He has a lot of potential, but... he puts too much weight on himself..."
Re: Makeshift Medical
"I was upset when I found out at first, actually. Negi has a history of violent women coming after him, so I was trying to steer him out of that. But when I thought about it, I realized you did it out of concern. It would hurt, but it woke him up, and he was a little better when I saw him later. And you're right, he does do that. But its only because he cares."
She still remembered that memory of what happened to his village. She identified with that immediately.
Re: Makeshift Medical
That little bit she didn't realize about Negi. She knew that he had a bunch of girls around, but didn't know that they were a little violent.
"Heh... I didn't know what to do then. All I could think of was trying to get him to wake up and see what he was doing. Though, next time, I'll try something different that's a little less painful." Sasami said.
"Though, I hope he realizes he's not alone in this..."
