Meet and Greet Part Deux: The Socialing
The new people will find themselves ushered out of Obs Deck, so it can be shot down to the planet again, to pick the crew up. Eventually, the crew members on the mission are brought back up, and the doors open to let the two groups meet.
The newbies are likely not expecting their new crew-mates to come back bearing presents--which some of them are.
[ooc: This time anyone can post in. REMEMBER TO TAG OTHER PEOPLE, THO. This is set after the mission so mission peoples can meet the newbies. Latecomer newbies, if you want, you can just tag your guys into this one to make things easier.]

Either way, she'd have a lot of extra left over.

"Are those leftovers?" She asked innocently.

Here Lafiel, you can have the big Spartan in full MJOLNIR armor scooping you into the crook of her free arm now. Kelly smiled down at her diminuitive friend. She loved picking the Abh up, if only because the motion incensed the girl so.
"Mostly. But there's a little something special in there for you, Empress."

Naw, Kelly wasn't in it just to tease you, Empress. Drawing her close, she swept her into a one armed, rare hug. Smiling, she set the Abh down lightly on her own feet again and watched as she opened her present. Inside, Lafiel would find a pair of boots (http://www.bikebandit.com/assets/product_images/09SidiOnRoadGTexMD.gif), perfect for her weak ankles~♥
"For when I'm not around to pick you up." She smiled, and it wasn't teasing in the least. Just gentle and genuine.

"Hey. How'd it go?"
no subject
"Mission accomplished. How else would it have gone?" She grinned down at him as if to say 'I was there after all.' "I got you something."

Women. Is he right?

And she would probably agree with him, to be honest.

Besides, in the thick of things, and people moving around with presents She couldn't help but pick Kelly out first. Kelly was so tall! So, the little girl cleared her throat politely to get her attention. "Did you win?" she asked, and mentally added, And are any of those for me?
no subject
That was one advantage of her height, at least people didn't miss her in crowds? But then, it could also have been a disadvantage. Either way, there wasn't much she could do about it. Turning quickly when she heard the throat clearing, the Spartan scanned the crowd around her, puzzled for a moment, not having noticed the girl in front of her. When Sherry spoke again though, she looked down and smiled widely. "Of course we did. I went along didn't I?"
She set the sack down and knelt to get closer to eye level. "You been looking after things on the ship while I was down there?"
no subject
She grinned slightly, "So yes! I've looked after things." From the business side of her classwork.
no subject
"Attagirl." She laughed lightly. "Anyway, I got you something. You want it now?" What a question, Kelly. What a question.

And, being seven feet tall and armored, he's pretty easy to find.

Walking over to him, she reached out her armored hand and traced two fingers in a slight, upward curve across his faceplate, a real, increasingly more common smile gracing her own features. "Hey slowpoke. You missed all the fun down there."
no subject
Yeah, Chief's as much a ray of sunshine as ever.

Obi-Wan came to Kelly's side with a satisfied air and a suspiciously wrapped box— they'd done well, and he was pleased. He also had a gift, and he smiled as he held it out, one-handed.
"I saw these while we were on delivery," he informed her, "And it seemed you could find some use for them."
no subject
When he held out the present though, she couldn't help but smile. Really, she hadn't been expecting to receive anything. What a surprise! "You shouldn't have, but thank you, Master Kenobi." She inclined her head politely before opening the box and taking a look inside.
no subject
"I do hope they're the right size," He was being facetious, "Though I'm sure the 'magic' division could fix that for you, if they aren't."

"Hey, welcome back."
no subject
"Thanks. I'd say it's good to be back, but I'd rather have ground under my feet than Stacy's innards anyday. You know what I mean though." She smirked, nudging him in the shoulder with an armored fist. She would have punched him, but she didn't trust the armor not to send him flying across the room. "Been keeping things in order, Kennedy?"
no subject
He had noticed the sack, and gestured towards it. "Brought back some souvenirs?"

Kelly couldn't help but smile at the other woman. The memory of her grumping in her Santa outfit was really one that couldn't be easily put out of her mind. Throwing her a casual salute, she ambled over.
"I think this outfit suits you better." She grinned.

"Meluly can try to get me out, but what can I say? Old habits die hard."
