Sooo...Meet-y
The rest of the crew assembled on the Observation Deck to meet the latest editions to their number. After the recent revelation, many of them were even more eager to see people they knew from home.
Brainiac 5 and Sensor were set up near the doors to provide the new people with omnicoms and comm rings.
There's a lot to tell the new people. It's going to be a lot to take in.

Have a familiar figure barreling into you from behind and hugging you as tightly as she possibly can.

Quickly recovering, she turned to try to see who in the world was clinging so hard to her...
"... N-Nanoha?"
no subject
"Fate-chan... it's really you, isn't it?"
Nanoha smiled up at the taller girl, and then all of the worry and fear she'd been keeping carefully pinned up ever since they'd learned the truth about their world came flooding out as tears began streaming down her cheeks and she buried her face in Fate's shoulder.

She still had had no idea what was going on, but she pushed that aside for now. Nanoha needed comfort, so Fate wrapped her arms around her, returning the embrace.

The tears started, and they didn't stop. Nanoha cried into Fate's shoulder as she felt the other girl's arms around her. It felt good to let it out for once in the presence of one of the only people she'd ever let herself be vulnerable in front of. Their universe might have been gone, but now part of her world was here.
"You... you're late," she said with a sniff at last, trying to collect herself after her momentary breakdown.
no subject
"I'm sorry, Nanoha..." She wasn't even sure what she why she was apologizing... what had she been late for? Had a mission gone bad here? Again she sqashed down these questions, trying to focus on comforting her friend.

Nanoha took a deep breath before resting her head on Fate's shoulder. "Fate-chan... how much do you know? What did Stacy tell you?"
no subject
Fate's brows furrowed at this. Again she wondered why she had never heard the name before, if they were such a threat.
no subject
"They don't just destroy planets or even galaxies. They... they destroy entire universes, too. Everyone on the ship - we weren't kidnapped, we were rescued." She bit her lip, clinging a little bit tighter now, and her voice broke no matter how hard she tried to keep it steady. "It's... everything's gone."
no subject
"Nanoha..." Fate's voice was much quieter now, clearly dreading asking her question. "... Who else is here?"
no subject
She paused, swallowing. "But... for now it's just the two of us."
Her reaction might make a little more sense now.
no subject
Fate's also clinging just a little harder too, taking in shaky breaths in an attempt to keep calm. She has to stay strong. She just has to.

"I hope you're right, Nanoha." And that's all they could do right now, right? Hope.
no subject
"But..." she said, managing a shaky smile for the other girl. "I'm... I'm really glad you're here now."
And then she leaned in to press her lips to Fate's in a kiss that probably tasted a little bit salty, thanks to the tears of relief and worry and loss that were once again streaming down her cheeks.
no subject
Her embarassment didn't stop her from returning the kiss, though.
no subject
She broke it off, and even if her cheeks were still streaked with tears, the smile was warm and genuine. "I missed you, you know."
no subject
It may not have been her fault, but she still felt a little guilty.
no subject
She'd missed this more than she'd realized. Her arms went around the other girl again, hugging her tightly as she rested her chin on Fate's shoulder. "I'm just happy to be with you again," she said softly.

Satori floated forward through the crowd. Of course, she immediately recognized Fate as the one who she had seen in Nanoha's mind during their duel. She smiled in much the way that someone smiles when they know something that you don't. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you in person."
no subject
"Oh, um... h-hello," she stuttered as she turned from Nanoha to the newcomer, trying to get her racing heart under control. "You know me...?"

"Fate-chan, this is Satori-chan. She's another magic user," Nanoha paused for a moment, "...and she's also a telepath."
