Is Your Love Strong Enough? Part 2 - Personal Interwoven Soulcatchers

Following you awakening and talking with a few of the members through the communication systems by way of the three kind people who had awakened her, Nezaitben realized how the crew was stuck in a terrible mess.

So many of them felt sad and depressed. Considering the entire ship, it wasn't too hard to see why. The next day, there had been an unusual amount of magical flowers spreading all over the ship. Nothing that damaged the controls (she might be naive in the way humanoids were, but Nezaitben was no fool either) but they were found in the most unexpected of places. Her own awakening area was now blooming in a flower paradise, the wooden palace standing proudly on top, the smell and pink cherry blossom strong enough to carry through most of the central city area where most people resided.

Yet the ship was still sad.

This would not do.

That night, or what passed as a night for in the ship, Nezaitben took to the 'sky', letting pieces of her own essence fall on top of the sleeping populace, or those that were not sleeping finding themselves feeling the need too. Enveloping the ship into a peaceful slumber, she searched their dreams. The powers granted to her by the pantheon of gods in her homeworld allowed Nezaitben to weave a series of dreamcatchers giving her the ability to see those whose hearts connected true.

These noble souls would do. Lead by example had always been her philosophy. She would give them a great gift - communication with each other in a single body, allowing them to share everything together. Their two soulcatchers were woven together that night into a single, grand ones, hanging in the garden's trees.

A few minutes later, the empty husks of the bodies that weren't being used showed up at her palace. With a smile, she welcomed them like her own children and began to dress them for their task.

That morning, some of the crewmen would wake up to a strange surprise...and that would just be the beginning of a long, strange misunderstanding and young gods trying too much to please everyone.

[OOC - Just a few rules. Keep in mind the listed rules. You can all start your own threads of waking up in the bodies of others. If you feel like leaving a 2nd post for other people to intact with them, start a reply to your own first post with OPEN header. That way everyone else will know where to post and if you don't feel like having an open interaction post right away, you won't have to!

There will also be another post for all the soulless characters to go around spreading joy and love, so look forward to that too!]

The 'RESCUE'

[personal profile] thewunderkind 2011-11-29 07:05 am (UTC)(link)
It took a while for Lash and Zetta to get there after the message. Controlling a body but having two souls wasn't something that could be learned in a day, much less a few hours. It was remarkable that they were walking in a straight line and didn't look too much like a drunk wunderkind galloping across the city.

But eventually, Lash and Zetta arrived into the castle.

Jamie's thoughts - already somewhat chaotic and hard to control, given this situation - come across in small bits and pieces during that small eternity before she speaks. A touch of worry left over from letting that memory of her in the oil rig slip out, a bit of chagrin for being caught peeking mixed with a sense of faint dread that she hasn't actually said anything yet...

And then she goes and uses his full name on him. There's a flash of indignation for a second because of it, but it's quickly replaced with a feeling that's much more contrite. Even though he couldn't help but enjoy that brief glimpse - when it comes down to it, he really hadn't meant to do what he did. His mental 'voice' turns apologetic.

Aye. I-I'm sorry, Victoria. It's just that... What does he say? That she was very beautiful and he couldn't help but look? He thinks somehow that would make things worse, even if he means it as a compliment. Look, it was an accident. I'll not do it again.

At least, he'll try not to, because if he's stuck in her body for any length of time, he's not sure how well he can avoid looking at her. They seem to be sharing control of the body, and there's certain things which could be very awkward.

Although if we're to find out what's going on, ye may want to get dressed first. Er...I don't suppose ye could manage that with your eyes closed?

Most of this crap is pretty relevant to a battlefield! Knowing your enemy's capabilities and tactics is three-quarters of the fight! As nonsensical as it might have seemed to Lash, Zetta apparently had very strong opinions on the matter. Like, knowing not to use magic and not physical attacks on the guy with 10,000 DEF and only 8 RES!

Huh. Interestin'. I haven't really joined anythin' on th' ship yet. Thought 'bout Security, but never stepped up yet.

Ellyn was quiet for a few long moments while Red Robin worked, listening to his explanation, and a wave of unease washed over her.

Uh. So what happ'ns if yer mindless bod stripped naked an' is runnin' 'round the city, b'sides your--our 'ternal emb'rassment?

The urge to lift her hand and rub the back of her head in embarrassment was strong, but Ellyn quashed it. She couldn't stop the flush in her cheeks, however.

And none too soon too: Mindy and Ruff are having problems of their own, and having severely injured themselves isn't helping.

"Over here!" Mindy said motioning them to the bench where they were sitting.

"Take it easy, big guy," she soothed, though it was easier said than done when they were sharing emotions. She worried about him as well, when he threw himself into fights that she couldn't be a part of or when she had to leave him unprotected during the day. Of course she did!

It was difficult to know which parts of Goliath's monologue were directed at her and which parts weren't, but she was aware that he was trying his best not to intrude. (It was impossible, given that he was in her head, but he tried. That meant a lot.)

"If Puck woke up during the last pod pop, he wouldn't have waited this long to make his move," she pointed out. The fact the people they encountered would think she was talking to herself was the least of her worries. "But it might be a trick to try and knock us off balance."

8 RES? she asked as the information continued to scroll. Does it usually give out your life's story too, or is that something caused by you using the powers on me?

It is theorized that Lash's hair are actually tiny live organisms attached to her scalp. However, this theory has never been proven and...

WHAT.

"Yeah!" Lash added a second later. Never mind that something could have happened to Lash's own body if the Overlord hadn't taken over it during HER own fall. "You sure we shouldn't just walk out and leave them there?" Okay now she was just being mean. The form wobbled over and gave an experimental tap on the broken leg.

"Do you guys feel anything or pain at all?" It was pretty blue. "Wow that's a lot of internal burst blood vessels."

Daniel's response was immediate, protective, tinged with the constant hatred against the Goa'uld that he lived and breathed day in and day out. She always had a choice. Maybe not back when she was a host, he corrected, but right now, she did. It was her body, no one was going to make her give it up. As far as he could see, Daniel was the one along for the ride, like an unwanted guest who decided to take up residence on the couch for the next several weeks. Minus the part where he'd showed up on his own free will. And the whole couch thing. So maybe the comparison didn't work quite as well as it should, but the general idea was there.

The walk up to his lab wasn't completely smooth. Letting Vala take over was like someone carrying a completely helpless him. Several times, Daniel stumbled or took control of her eyes without thinking, tried to look around before remembering she was supposed to be in control for the most part. Sorry.

Now, they looked around the lab, and unless his body managed to thin itself out impossibly, he wasn't hiding in the sarcophagus. At least you don't have to worry about your body vanishing, Daniel piped up. Either wandered off, which was worrying, to say the least, or someone had taken him, which might somehow be the worse option.

"I agree, it could have started when she found the statue. Could we try and put a search out for my body?" Daniel couldn't help asking. Maybe not as high priority as finding Pinkie Pie, but the longer it went out there unaccounted for...

Yeah - the question is why, and how we go about reversing it.

Not that she minded time with Morgan but this was... not exactly how she'd envisioned that happening. And it had better not be permanent.

Red Robin hesitated then said, "Let me know if you decide to. I'm a Senior Officer in Security." He wasn't quite offering to put in a good word, but if nothing else he would be interested in knowing if she did.

Of course, he was too distracted, momentarily, to say anything more on the subject. It was an unsettling-- if interesting-- phenomenon. He was used to being generally inexpressive, making a point to not show outward reactions. So both the unease and the embarrassment felt strange, not originating from himself, and he could feel a physical reaction that wasn't really his own.

Of course, his own feeling of embarrassment was completely empathic in nature. Completely.

"We'll, uh. Cross that bridge when we get to it," he said, trying to fall into his fail safe gruff, Red Robin voice. It was considerably more difficult to do with someone else's vocal cords. "Until then, I'll assume otherwise."

The tracer on the map of her communicator blipped into life. It didn't seem to be moving to a great degree, that was always a good sign. He zoomed for a closer look.

Well, step one, find your body.

"Hangar!" he managed to say to the lift, prompting one of the tentacles to scoop the body up without further ado.

At least that works.

[personal profile] not_the_philistine 2011-11-29 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
That Elisa worried as much about him as he worried about her was something he knew that he should know logically, but certainly hadn't felt until now. It was . . . touching. Not because he knew how helpless he was during the day, but because she cared about that as much as she did.

For a moment, he felt appreciation for her concern. With that appreciation communicated as quickly as he felt it, there was no need to linger on the point. It was, in the middle of the discomfort of this over-forced intimacy, only comfortably intimate.

We have not known Puck to enjoy keeping his identity long, but he could have grown bored with us and found new mortals to share his secret with. He could be anyone. But then, if that is our suspicion, anyone could be anything else.

They were drawing nearer to the magical department, but not fast enough for Goliath. He kept fighting the urge to push Elisa's body harder than she already was.

"Ha ha, broken bones are funny!" Mindy said in Ruffnut's voice. "Look, it was me, you can yell at me later for it. I was trying out Ruff's flexibility and we fell. Now if you'd just-ow, mother..!"

Ruffnut let out a slew of curses that would surely not normally be uttered by the viking.

Re: !

[identity profile] ruffntumblenut.livejournal.com 2011-11-29 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"It only hurts if you touch it...or move it." Grunted Ruffnut re-asserting herself on her voice. "Or when I breath." And though she was putting on a strong face with the combined stubborness of both girls, she was slick with sweat and pale.

Something that Mindy will notice though as the pain from the poke subsides...there's a part of Ruffnut's mind that likes the pain. A wicked sort of pleasure that keeps her wide eyed and heart fluttering. It's a side even Ruffnut isn't fully aware of.

She might have mastered that hiding her thoughts in a room thing to a flimsy and unreliable extent by the time they'd reached the lab but emotions were impossible to mask, and it apparently worked both ways. Daniel's hatred for the Goa'uld was stronger even than her own. But she'd never lost anyone to them, only herself. Somehow that didn't seem as damaging or maybe she'd just got very adept at suppressing it, her own brain's self defence against sending her insane if she thought about it too much. Today was today, and yesterday was history. It was the only way she knew how.

Well at least there was no sign of a scuffle, whatever had happened to Daniel's body had happened without much trouble. That was promising wasn't it? In Vala's experience, this had only ever happened using the Ancient communication device, except that completely quelled the host body temporarily and left the body that the consciousness had left simply comatosed until they returned. Hopefully this was no different.

The only thing out of place here was a trail of flower petals leading out from the lab. "Well someone's moved you, or you moved yourself and just don't remember. Also I think I need..." Vala cringed, trying her hardest to not be amused. But yep she definitely needed to go, well he could feel her bladder too probably.

[personal profile] makeherblue 2011-11-30 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
River, he can't help but fancy you a little, even knowing what he knows. You're just too infuriating and interesting and he never did have a chance, did he?

It's all rather hard to squirm or even have a decent fidget when he doesn't have his own body to go about it properly, the Doctor feeling that doing it as a floating incorporable Whatever just isn't quite the same no matter how curvey it is in here. River's fingers, for example, aren't as long and bony as his, so they're no good at the style of fussing he's used to. The weird thing about sharing bodies was he could feel River feeling him approving of the interesting changes; an odd little circle that doesn't stop there, a link that he knows she's both struggling to get used to, big old alien head in there and oh yes. Right. The loads of secrets they each have. This is far past the complicated stage.

River Song, I'll have you know I can manage a body. You have the same number of arms and legs as I do!

As for the...other bits, well! The Doctor hardly thinks they're a priority, despite how interesting it is to have them attached to his person. Their person. It's almost like a peek of what it would be like to regenerate into a woman, come to think of it.

"I suppose it's lying around somewhere! Hopefully I didn't brain myself. Or worse. But braining is a good start," the Doctor says out the side of River's mouth. It comes out...sultry. He's not even trying and it comes out in that purr of hers. He blinks with her eyes, startled, like a cat running face first into the screen door. "So! Lovely hair aside. I was in the TARDIS, so unless my body wandered off, I should still be there."

Hopefully still there.

Oops, did he think that outloud? Either way, it went bleeding right through the link between them, this rather ominous color to the word "oops", as if he'd said it far more than any being should.

River and Eleven

[identity profile] hullo-sweetie.livejournal.com 2011-11-30 02:41 am (UTC)(link)
No, he never did stand a chance against her. And to think, he'd tried to run away from her at one point. That hadn't really worked out, now had it? Can't run from destiny up. Well, you can but it'll always catch up eventually.

River's the child of the TARDIS, she can handle his 'big alien head' without being harmed. Probably one of the few that could. Seeing and feeling with his senses, experiencing what he felt and thought, it was all brand new. Yes, but this is my body you're managing. She counters and oh, it's terribly odd when he speaks with her voice or moves parts of her body that she hadn't had any intention of moving. It was utterly bizarre. A sensation she couldn't quite put to words.

"Let's go see if we can find your body then, shall we? Where do you remember being before you....did whatever happened that caused us to end up like this." Yes, she's blaming you because she'd been innocently reading a book in her room all night.

She moves her body towards the door and exits her room, turning a corner to head towards the console room.

What, never seen worlds constantly in war before?

...the term Wunderkind was given to her at four years old during her mental and physical test all Black Hole children must undergo. Meaning child prodigy, it reinforces her great mental and thinking skills, perhaps, at the lost of her common sense most children her age would have gotten being raised normally. For example she does not even know what a hamster wheel is...

Is there a skip button to this thing? Wait had she just asked for a skip button? What was she even thinking...

Lash's body burst into a snickering that was utterly, utterly unsuited to her. "Trying out her flexibility. Oh man, that's priceless!"

Then the body began to stumble as Zetta tried to push his way into greater control. "Let me out, damn it, I'm gonna summon the healer."

Never seen worlds that have THAT kind of theory involved. Seriously, who would THINK that? Look, just get out of the menus and get on with business!

Really, Lash, just because information popped up didn't mean you HAD to read it.

Oh hey, it admits you have no common sense! There might be a bit more humor in that thought than she'd appreciate.
