Dearly Beloved...
The City didn't have weather as most people knew it, but it was nonetheless a beautiful day - warm weather with a nice breeze, Stacy's sun-equivalent shining in the sky... almost as if it was reflecting the emotions of at least one of the ship's crew. In the middle of the Park, someone had set up a little white lattice archway amongst the hedgerows, decorated with ivy and roses and lilies that looked remarkably real (if they were, in fact, synthetic). In front of the arch were several rows of white chairs, more than enough for anyone who cared to show up.
It was a beautiful day for a wedding.
And frankly, Nanoha needed it. After the chaos and confusion; the rage and terror on Galilee... she didn't think she could ever forget that horrible sense of loss and emptiness when she'd thought that Fate was gone, if only for a day or so. But this would go a long way toward exorcising those demons - a day that she'd dreamed of for years.
Of course, she couldn't go greet anyone yet. She was in her wedding dress, after all! These things needed to be proper.
(ooc: Tag the respective subthreads, please! Mingling is highly encouraged.)

Zouichi didn't really feel like talking about the mission, either. "I met Nanoha once, at a demonstration for a prospective member of the Magical Department. This has been delayed for quite some time, hasn't it?"
He paused. "Speaking of ship events, are you planning on the prom?"

From what Jr. heard from Nanoha, Zouichi was right on the dot. The boy nodded. "A couple of times, sounds like. So this is good for them."
The red head was a fan of gatherings. If anything, more to do to pass the time and meet more people. He wasn't too cynical that he was against the idea of meeting more people, even though he had talked about a lack of trust toward certain people. But it was the same was back home, wasn't it? "Sure am. How about you?"

"Let's just cross out fingers and hope that everything goes as planned." Because with this crew, someone might end up in the punch bowl or attacked by laser squids or something.
"I think I'll be going. I've never been to any sort of official party before, though. Do you have a date?"
no subject
At the following question, Jr. shook his head with a quick shrug. "Nah, I'll probably go to do the old mix and mingle. Do you have one?"
no subject
He paused. "I might. I guess I have to ask her first."

"Alastirra... I guess." Stop embarrassing him, Jr., geez. "If she's interested."
no subject
He tapped a finger to his chin. "Alastirra ... I don't think I've ever met her before."
no subject
"She's one of the Draenei from Azeroth. Tall, pale purple, with horns? She's quite friendly."

"I should warn you, though, that she's about a head taller than me." So guess what, Jr., you're going to be the tiny one.
no subject
"Wow, taller than you?"
no subject
That was leaving out the maces, too.

come on, Jr. was adorable admit itno subject
The way he said that though, sounded less flattered and more like it was something he knew already.
no subject
"Sure. I'd be a little surprised if you didn't have a girlfriend already."

And he was pretty much truthful. He was chatty and playful and flirty and charming with a lot of girls, but steady dating was another thing entirely. For a number of reasons.

what not even with MOMOHmm. Well, if Jr. really was in his twenties, he probably had his reasons for looking the way he did. And it would probably make dating a little tough.
Zouichi turned back to where the ceremony would be held. "Well, in any case, it'll be a nice change of pace to have a celebration or two."
