Dearly Beloved...
The City didn't have weather as most people knew it, but it was nonetheless a beautiful day - warm weather with a nice breeze, Stacy's sun-equivalent shining in the sky... almost as if it was reflecting the emotions of at least one of the ship's crew. In the middle of the Park, someone had set up a little white lattice archway amongst the hedgerows, decorated with ivy and roses and lilies that looked remarkably real (if they were, in fact, synthetic). In front of the arch were several rows of white chairs, more than enough for anyone who cared to show up.
It was a beautiful day for a wedding.
And frankly, Nanoha needed it. After the chaos and confusion; the rage and terror on Galilee... she didn't think she could ever forget that horrible sense of loss and emptiness when she'd thought that Fate was gone, if only for a day or so. But this would go a long way toward exorcising those demons - a day that she'd dreamed of for years.
Of course, she couldn't go greet anyone yet. She was in her wedding dress, after all! These things needed to be proper.

She walk-runs around the park in her (expertly-tailored, of course, if not as fancy as Testarossa's) tuxedo, straightening decorations and quietly, respectfully yelling at ushers to in turn quietly, respectfully make sure everyone gets seated properly. This was the most important ceremonial day in the lives of the two people she's closest to without actually considering family, and damn her if it wasn't going to be exactly how they wanted it.
"You. Fix that flower arrangement, would you?" she asks of someone before even registering who they are.

"Consider it done," she said, carefully moving two roses and tweaking the ivy to hold them in a proud little cluster with the rest. There, perfect.

Signum pauses, and catches herself, forcing herself to relax a second. "...I don't even know you, do I? Thank you."

"I'm Anwei. Is there anything else I can do to help?"

Anwei narrows her eyes for an instant. "Now all you have to do is look like you're as happy as everyone else, and you'll be all set." This is a slightly joking tone, as though acknowledging that keeping track of everything and trying to look cheerful would be a challenge.

"Looking happy is part of my job too?" she asks. No one mentioned that. Because they took it for granted, admittedly, but still.
no subject
"Happy times don't come as often as they should. Try to stop and take some happiness for yourself."

Jr. hadn't seen Signum act like this before. But it wasn't that surprising, if she was so close to the two stars of the day.

"I wasn't involved in the original planning this came up with a two-day notice I haven't seen the maid of honor - the one who actually knows anything about this kind of thing - in hours and my best friend is getting married in about fifteen minutes, so yes, I am slightly on edge," she says, all at once, in a tone she usually reserves for lecturing the 'younger' Wolkenritter.
And then she slumps after unloading all that at once.

He gave a quick look-around, trying to think of a way to calm the girl down, even at least a little.
"I'm sure it'll be fine, nobody'd wanna miss something like this! Especially the people involved. Plus, you did a great job, everything looks perfect."
no subject
She looks up from her slump then, smiling a little. "Actually, I think people are mostly here because they're friends or otherwise appreciative of the brides. I'm just trying to make an appropriate setting for them."

Aibghalien had magically tampered with his robes enough to make them look more formal and fine, but beyond that he hadn't outdone himself. Can't outshine the happy couple, after all.
"The details are minor. It's the actual joining that's important. Everything else... they won't even remember."

"...sorry, but there's so many details right now," she says in regards to her tone.

"Need me to move something?" he asked curiously.

She comulsively checks her pockets. Rings are still there, okay. "I don't...know, Negi," she admits.

"All weddings are is little things, apparently. And one big thing that these two already committed to years ago," she says, frustration edging into her voice. "Vows are good, but so much ceremony...they wouldn't have asked for anything if it wasn't important, so I'd better make sure everything is perfect, right?"
