Dearly Beloved...
The City didn't have weather as most people knew it, but it was nonetheless a beautiful day - warm weather with a nice breeze, Stacy's sun-equivalent shining in the sky... almost as if it was reflecting the emotions of at least one of the ship's crew. In the middle of the Park, someone had set up a little white lattice archway amongst the hedgerows, decorated with ivy and roses and lilies that looked remarkably real (if they were, in fact, synthetic). In front of the arch were several rows of white chairs, more than enough for anyone who cared to show up.
It was a beautiful day for a wedding.
And frankly, Nanoha needed it. After the chaos and confusion; the rage and terror on Galilee... she didn't think she could ever forget that horrible sense of loss and emptiness when she'd thought that Fate was gone, if only for a day or so. But this would go a long way toward exorcising those demons - a day that she'd dreamed of for years.
Of course, she couldn't go greet anyone yet. She was in her wedding dress, after all! These things needed to be proper.

He still had a ghost of a limp when he walked over, but he hoped the looking fancy covered it well enough. Looking over the scene, he couldn't help but smile, getting the same feeling that he guessed everyone else did. That they weren't on a ship sailing into a war with no clear outcome, but in a place -- a place that would feel like some sort of home, because happiness was what truly sealed making a home what it was.

"Nice formals," he said. "You almost look respectable." He was teasing, of course.
no subject
"You're lookin' nice, too! I know a guy who likes to dress the same way."
no subject
He looked down at the dark blue fabric, brushing absently at his shoulder. "Really? Maybe I should meet him sometime. I don't have much in the way of suits, but I picked this up a while back. So, do you know the couple?"
no subject
Jr. glanced over to where Fate stood. "A little bit! I did spend a little more time with Fate down there." Zouichi could probably guess where 'there' was - Jr. didn't want to talk about it. Not here. "And Nanoha said they'd been planning to do this for a while, now..."
no subject
Zouichi didn't really feel like talking about the mission, either. "I met Nanoha once, at a demonstration for a prospective member of the Magical Department. This has been delayed for quite some time, hasn't it?"
He paused. "Speaking of ship events, are you planning on the prom?"
no subject
From what Jr. heard from Nanoha, Zouichi was right on the dot. The boy nodded. "A couple of times, sounds like. So this is good for them."
The red head was a fan of gatherings. If anything, more to do to pass the time and meet more people. He wasn't too cynical that he was against the idea of meeting more people, even though he had talked about a lack of trust toward certain people. But it was the same was back home, wasn't it? "Sure am. How about you?"
no subject
"Let's just cross out fingers and hope that everything goes as planned." Because with this crew, someone might end up in the punch bowl or attacked by laser squids or something.
"I think I'll be going. I've never been to any sort of official party before, though. Do you have a date?"
no subject
At the following question, Jr. shook his head with a quick shrug. "Nah, I'll probably go to do the old mix and mingle. Do you have one?"
no subject
He paused. "I might. I guess I have to ask her first."

no subject
"Alastirra... I guess." Stop embarrassing him, Jr., geez. "If she's interested."
no subject
He tapped a finger to his chin. "Alastirra ... I don't think I've ever met her before."

She was dressed in a nice blue dress, though it only came halfway to her knee. Rein had insisted that she wore something to flatter her figure even if Reimi herself wasn't too sure about looking too nice at a wedding.

He knew that the couple had basically invited the whole ship, so he he decided to ask, "Friend of theirs?"

He extended a hand to her. "I'm Jr. - Gaignun Jr."
