Welcome to Clean Street [Open!]

Down on the city level, right by the Kohaku River and near the imposing castle, a modern-looking white building welcomed one and all to its promise of running water and warmth. Maybe even a little socializing was in order.

The ramp led up to the heated roof level, where one and all could sit down and relax in an almost sauna-like environment. Below, corridors contained plenty of towels, places to leave clothes, quick showers, and the baths, a number of them sized for any and all comers.

The private areas were accessed through separate corridors on the outside, but the busier communal baths were just as warm and welcoming. Anyone of any size or species was welcome here, so long as they behaved themselves.

[ooc: it's mingling party post time! Just start a thread or hop in one, and note if your character's in a single sex bath, co-ed, or the sauna level upstairs. My characters will be here to meet some people too.]

Thinking about previous, pleasant encounters in the bathhouse. Hello one of those times!

"Course," he replied with a smile. "Don' see any reason to not wear 'em."

"It's nice seein' ya again Cagalli. How've you been?"

"Don't they get fogged up?" she asked, looking at them to see if she was right.

Cagalli settled down into the water. "Pretty good, I guess. Yourself?"

"Naw, not if you apply this mixture you find in stores to prevent that. I managed to get a little over in Xaxing, but if you lack that you can always use toothpaste too. Works just the same."

He smiled at her, looking over his shades at her.

"I've been good, finally finished that project I told ya about. The club and arcade came out nice. Plus I managed to turn the basement into a store room and a pool hall where you can play card games also. The lounge ain't too shabby either, tho I wish I could have added like a drink bar. But I'll leave the alcohol in Kang's well capable hands. He does a damn good job already."

"And as a bonus? The 'suite' on the top floor is all mine. Decorated it to my pleasing."

"Seriously?" She'd have to keep that in mind, though it was rare that she wore sunglasses. It certainly seemed like a bit much just to wear them in a bath.

Cagalli was more interested in his project though, listening intently. "Well, we can always bring our own drinks." She smiled, glad for every little extra distraction that didn't require screwing with their heads. "It sounds great though. Can't wait to try it out."

"Yup, I learned it from diving. You usually did it to the masks so they wouldn't fog up due to the heat of your body and the coolness of the water."

He smiled and gave her a thumbs up. "You're free to visit whenever you wish to. It's open to everyone at any time. When I'm not there, it's automated to follow directions and such." Everything was accessible except the store room and his floor.

"It's even automated? Very nice work," Cagalli said, legitimately impressed. "I'll definitely come over sometime. Any plans for a grand opening party?" She'd definitely attend something like that if she had the time for it.

"Ha! I did that already. The ummmm attendance was rather weak, but all in all, I'm proud of what I built. And the people who did show up had a blast, so I was happy 'bout that. But you can pass by and I'll act surprised! I promise." He chuckled and winked playfully at her.

"Oh! I wish I'd known..." Cagalli actually looked a little disappointed. Maybe if she ever found something to celebrate she could put it to use.

She shrugged. "I'll drop by anyways though."

He chuckled, "It's fine, and like I said, you're free to visit whenever you'd like. I'd actually enjoy that."

"Keep an eye out for me then, even if I come alone I'll be over eventually." Though maybe Kira would be amiable to getting dragged along with her. God knows he needs it.

"Sounds great then." he smiled giving her a thumbs up. "I'll make sure to be around for that then."

"Maybe I should send a message before I come over. Wouldn't be as much fun if it was just me sitting around for hours."

He laughed, "Yeah, well, it'd still be fun I hope, that was what I was trying to accomplish with the place. But It'd be so much better if we were hangin' out yeah?"

"Yeah, but I like relaxing alone, not playing games alone." She winked, not really seeming to mind relaxing with Splicer either.

"Oh well, yeah I can see what you mean." He smiled back.

"How 'bout we grab a few games later yeah? I'm not doin' anythin' now that I'm done with my project other than training. So I'm free whenever."

"Later for sure, but right now... I'm loving the water here." Cagalli stretched, closing her eyes and leaning back.

Splicer smiled, giving her a once over, Cagalli was definitely a nice and attractive girl for sure. "It sure is. Nothin' really beats a real bath, or shower for that matter. Not that I minded the sonic showers none, but still."

He did just the same, sinking a bit into the water and relaxing back, outstretching his arms along the edge of the bath.

A once over is allowed. As long as he's not gawking... she could take it as a compliment. It made sense with all the working out she did.

"Seriously... a little water too much to ask for?"

A gentleman doesn't gawk, not that he thought himself of one, but it was common courtesy of course.

"No kiddin' yeah? You'd think a living ship would have water in one way or another... Then again I think I rather not bathe in whatever fluids 'Stacy' might be packin'." He laughed heartily.

She winced, and gagged exaggeratedly. "Thanks, but no thanks. If she can't spare any other kind of 'water' I'll take my chances with what we can scrounge up."

He chuckled, smiling at the face she made. "Yeah, you can say that again. Which ain' bad really. They did a damn good job with this place and the areas that get water off that river ain' bad either. I added water to my place by adding that. A line to the water supply and a purifier. It's pretty nice."

"I really oughta move down to the river and hook up, as long as the supply's not a problem." She might need to ask about that... but then, if they had the water for the baths, it probably wasn't much of an issue.

"Got room in my place." He teased with a playful wink and a smile.

"But honestly, there's enough empty pads over near the river beggin' to be inhabited and quite frankly? I think it'd be better. Wouln' be lookin' like a ghost town an' all that."

"Maybe I'll grab one then. Private. All to myself."

"That seems kinda lonely don'cha think?" He grinned.
