Down on the city level, right by the Kohaku River and near the imposing castle, a modern-looking white building welcomed one and all to its promise of running water and warmth. Maybe even a little socializing was in order.

The ramp led up to the heated roof level, where one and all could sit down and relax in an almost sauna-like environment. Below, corridors contained plenty of towels, places to leave clothes, quick showers, and the baths, a number of them sized for any and all comers.

The private areas were accessed through separate corridors on the outside, but the busier communal baths were just as warm and welcoming. Anyone of any size or species was welcome here, so long as they behaved themselves.

[ooc: it's mingling party post time! Just start a thread or hop in one, and note if your character's in a single sex bath, co-ed, or the sauna level upstairs. My characters will be here to meet some people too.]

Cagalli settled back down, watching Splicer. "I guess a little pruniness is alright."

"Well, you know, it isn't everyday that you get to relax in a hot tub, with a cool gal ain' it?" He smiled.

"Maybe not for you."

He laughed and raised an inquisitive brow, "Oh? Are ya tellin' me you get to often then yeah? Tho can't say I'd be surprised." He winked playfully.

"Well, I'm not the only girl who comes here, and sometimes I go to the segregated baths. There are at least a few other 'cool gals' here." It was certainly easier to hang out with girls in a hot tub when you are one.

"True enough. I guess if I was more of a creeper I could just change into a gal and hang out there. That's jus' not my style. But it's been suggested by plenty of my teammates." He laughed and shook his head.

"Yeah, well, you'd probably get lynched if anyone found out." Just the fact that he can do something like that is kind of... freaky.

He laughed, "Yeah pretty much. Not that I'd do it anyways, specially knowing I could prolly get away with it. Jus' ain' my thing. I much rather enjoy honest company, and eye candy of course." He smiled at Cagalli.

"O-oh? Honest eye-candy is the best, huh?" Still a little uncomfortable with direct compliments about her appearance, but she was getting better about that.

"Course." He mused, smiling at her. "Pleasant company is pleasant company regardless. But when they're honestly enjoying themselves alongside you? That's the best type."

"Well... that makes sense." She fidgeted a little anyways.

He raised a brow and looked at her over the shades.

"You alright there Cagalli? Didn' say anythin' ta offend ya did I?"

She shook her head. "No... just not good at dealing with compliments like that. It's really not a problem."

He chuckled lightly and nodded, "Well I take it you're awkward a lot then, considerin' I don' see a reason why you wouldn' be complimented."

"Awkward a lot? Yeah... I kinda am..."

He couldn't help but chuckle. "I'll try to remember that and avoid makin' ya awkward then. Tho I have'ta admit it's cute."

Her response is an annoyed, but amused groan. "It's okay every so often. Just give me time to recover, alright?"

He couldn't help but laugh and shake his head. "Fair enuff, fair enuff." A chuckle leaving his lips as he relaxed back.

She sighed, calming back down a little. "Just stick to complimenting my piloting skills once you see them."

"I've been wanting too actually. I was pretty impressed with some of the pilots on board during the last battle with the Ohm. Got some nice teamwork done during it and managed to keep myself fairly unharmed. Nothing I couldn't fix but it'd be nice to have a few more practice runs with more pilots."

"Yeah... kinda wish I'd been out there, but I was busy being smaller. I've been training, though, and I know I'm getting a lot better."

"Yeah, heard 'bout that. That clock business was pretty messed in my opinion." he looked up in thought with a slight frown. So many crewmates on the verge of dying. That alone was a scary thought, not because of the deaths, it's a war, it'll happen. But because of an accident so bizarre.

He shook his head and turned to Cagalli with a smile, "Have you now? I'd like to sit in on one of those sessions. Jus' ta see you pilot."

"It was a pain... but it was worse for other people, and it's all over now."

She shrugs, but looks up at the mention of sitting in to watch. "There might be rules about that, though. I could just show you in the Sensoriums instead."

He nods at her, glad that she made it out alright.

"Sounds like a plan. I'd like that actually." He smiled.

"I'll figure out when I want to go over there, then, and get a hold of you. Sometime in the next few days?"
