Welcome to Clean Street [Open!]

Down on the city level, right by the Kohaku River and near the imposing castle, a modern-looking white building welcomed one and all to its promise of running water and warmth. Maybe even a little socializing was in order.

The ramp led up to the heated roof level, where one and all could sit down and relax in an almost sauna-like environment. Below, corridors contained plenty of towels, places to leave clothes, quick showers, and the baths, a number of them sized for any and all comers.

The private areas were accessed through separate corridors on the outside, but the busier communal baths were just as warm and welcoming. Anyone of any size or species was welcome here, so long as they behaved themselves.

[ooc: it's mingling party post time! Just start a thread or hop in one, and note if your character's in a single sex bath, co-ed, or the sauna level upstairs. My characters will be here to meet some people too.]

Cagalli was glad she'd found at least a few people she liked here as well. "Gotta put those muscles to use, huh?"

Splicer playfully flexed, a light laugh escaping his lips at the action. He wasn't one to boast, specially since he was enhanced to be a 'perfect soldier' for the Dominion, even if he didn't believe in perfection. Boasting was more Miguel's thing, he'd sure love to be the center of attention if he were here with them.

"Yeah, can't let em get use only from games and dj'ing now can'I?"

"Almost seems like a waste just doing that much." Really, they were probably pretty damn good for combat as well, but that's not what the two of them were here to talk about.

"Games are never a waste." He replied with a grin.

"But I still train plenty, physical, my shootin' and my psionics. You know, in case the Ohm come outta nowhere."

"Psionics..." she mutters. So many odd powers on this ship, beyond anything she could imagine. "I can practice the rest of those though."

"Yeah, I can see how it's not common in a lot of worlds. Hell, it wasn't 'till the Terrans got banished from Earth that on the rare occasion a psionic user would be born within' the race an' such. That's why we were 'prized'." he makes quotation marks in the air before shrugging.

"We were more lab rats than prized, not that I really care much. I did what I had to do, for my superiors and the people of the Koprulu sector. Even if most of my missions took me outside of our quadrant."

"You'd think people would get sick of being that awful all the time."

"It's in human nature to take advantage of others I s'pose. But can' let that deter ya. Always the good guys around, like you yeah?" He smiled and gave her a thumbs up.

"You too." She sighed, but smiled a little back at Splicer. "It's not always easy to focus on the good."

"Eh, most people always focus on the bad no? Someone has to focus on the good or we'll all be walkin' round depressed and stuff."

"You're right, of course. Can't spend all day dreading what's gonna happen next."

"Doesn't allow you to enjoy the good things in life." he added, smiling at her as he looked her over his shades and placing his hand on hers comfortingly, as to let her know they'd all be okay.

Never saying it'd be easy, cause when is it ever? But he was sure they'd give it their damnedest to win.

Bath is a weird place for hand holding, but... alright. She patted his hand once, looking over at him. "Like baths and friends."

He nodded, "Yeah, pretty much." He said as he stretched and sinking in a bit in the bath.

"Think I'll stay here for a bit longer, don't mind gettin' a bit pruny since the water and the company's so nice."

Cagalli settled back down, watching Splicer. "I guess a little pruniness is alright."

"Well, you know, it isn't everyday that you get to relax in a hot tub, with a cool gal ain' it?" He smiled.

"Maybe not for you."

He laughed and raised an inquisitive brow, "Oh? Are ya tellin' me you get to often then yeah? Tho can't say I'd be surprised." He winked playfully.

"Well, I'm not the only girl who comes here, and sometimes I go to the segregated baths. There are at least a few other 'cool gals' here." It was certainly easier to hang out with girls in a hot tub when you are one.

"True enough. I guess if I was more of a creeper I could just change into a gal and hang out there. That's jus' not my style. But it's been suggested by plenty of my teammates." He laughed and shook his head.

"Yeah, well, you'd probably get lynched if anyone found out." Just the fact that he can do something like that is kind of... freaky.

He laughed, "Yeah pretty much. Not that I'd do it anyways, specially knowing I could prolly get away with it. Jus' ain' my thing. I much rather enjoy honest company, and eye candy of course." He smiled at Cagalli.

"O-oh? Honest eye-candy is the best, huh?" Still a little uncomfortable with direct compliments about her appearance, but she was getting better about that.

"Course." He mused, smiling at her. "Pleasant company is pleasant company regardless. But when they're honestly enjoying themselves alongside you? That's the best type."

"Well... that makes sense." She fidgeted a little anyways.
