You can not leave the magic... [Open]
The Jedi Temple.
He really needed to propose the Magic Department move to the Tower of High Sorcery. It really made a lot more sense, didn't it?
Oh well.
An illusory sign out front said "Welcome New Applicants", along with a magic mouth that welcomed them and gave brief instructions to the office he had reluctantly claimed after deciding that no one would ever manage to properly find their way to his actual wizard's lab. Thus, behind a desk, he sat scribing a scroll and awaiting potential new members to the department's ranks.

Alex listens to the magic mouth, which is totally brill, and walks over to the office.
"Hi!"

"~Got it.~"
"Thank you. Anyway, I'm Alex, and this is Ifrit." Alex holds out his hand, the large golden ring engraved with arcane star-based glyphs.

"~I'm a djinn. A bound djinn. Anyway, I'm one of the best experts on the occult my facet of reality has, so since the kid doesn't do anything, I figured this is where we'd be the most useful.~"

"Aibghalien, I presume?"

"Soren, of the Greil Mercenaries," he said by way of introduction. "I'm an Archsage on my world, so I thought I should offer my services. It seems you've been quite busy for the past few days."
no subject
He folded his hands in front of him, pondering. "She relayed to me that 'Archsage' places a substantial reliance on offensive spells? Is the power inherent to you, or learned? Does it require preparation ahead of time, or do you simply invoke whichever effect you desire as you see fit?"
no subject
"Mages place a higher reliance on them, actually -- to the exclusion of almost anything else. But yes, elemental attack spells are my specialty. In theory, any beorc can learn to use the type of magic that I wield, provided they give it enough study. However, some are invariably more proficient at it than others. In general, those with inherent talent and speed are the most effective."
And in Soren's somewhat biased (but still quite true!) opinion, he was one of the best.
"No particular preparations are required, only items with which to focus power."

Well. Color her wrong.
Eventually, though, she found her way into the office of the pointy-eared man, and, tilting her head, offered him a grunt in greeting.
"Name's Ellyn Vitner. We spoke on th' comm?"
no subject
"Welcome. Please, have a seat and let's talk." He gestured to the chair across from him as he set down the quill.

She had no clue what kind of loaded question she was about to ask, next, either. "So...whadd'ya wanna know?"

She missed the wolf. A little.
"Anyway. Basically I'm fire, fire's me, an' I can do a bunch'a crap with it. If ya need demonstratin' I can do that."

Arriving at the location was easy enough, thanks to The Fly card. Making her way to his office, however, was kind of a different story. Making her way there, though, she poked her head in the door, curious.
"Hello?"
no subject
The elf smiled as he looked up, setting aside his quill. "Good day. Please, come in." He gestured obligingly to the seat across from him. "I take it you've come in response to my message on the omnicomms?"
no subject
Stepping in, Sakura bowed slightly at Aibghailien, returning the smile as she did, before taking the seat she was offered.
"Ah, yes I have." she responded.

"I have magic abilities, but they're drawn forth from these cards. They were known as Clow Cards, but after I ended up changing them, I call them 'Sakura Cards'." she said. She could have called them something else, but Tomoyo was very insistent on that. "Each card does a different thing and I'm certain there's much more that I've yet to find out."

With a warm smile on her lips she took a glance about the office before making her way over to where he sat, silent in her motions to hopefully sneak up on him until she slid her arms around him from behind his chair, "Stacy certainly has a sense of timing when it comes to the pod-releases to keep you busy it seems," she commented with a soft chuckle, "I hope the new arrivals aren't keeping you too busy,"
no subject
With her arms around him, he leaned back to smile up at her. "I feel a bit guilty that I was in the midst of spellcasting when this all occurred, but I had no way of knowing. Besides, let's face it, I'd be doing this anyway even if Nanoha was on-ship at the time. She's supposed to be getting married, after all."
no subject
"How've the new recruits been shaping up? Hopefully none of them have been too much of a handful,"
no subject
"A child with a wish-granting genie in a ring, an Archsage, a girl who can do things with fire I can barely imagine but none of it is magical, and another girl with a deck of cards that perform potent effects. I'm starting to miss the ordinary young adult girls with the straightforward power to annihilate moons," he said, smiling.

She nods and takes in the descriptions of those that have come by, "Ah good Soren ended up finding you, good," She comments almost to herself before chuckling and shaking her head, "Quite the diverse bunch this time around it sounds,"
