Finally some roomie tim-whoops.
It had been an arduous few days. Between the situation with people losing memories and then the people coming back from the Ohm attack, Kaya had been pretty busy. She hadn't even left the med bay, preferring to sleep here instead of back at the Outsider's hotel. She knew she had already missed quite a bit due to this: sessions with Chase, the upkeep of the hotel, and general having fun time, but priorities were priorities. Now that she had some time to herself though, she was hoping to spent some time helping her roommate decorate and at least have some general fun: Alex, after all, had brought all of those interesting black light things, why not put them to good use?
She walked up the stairs of the hotel, making a beeline straight for the hotel suite. It was one of the good things about not having to be alone: it didn't matter that Alex was a boy, at least he was SOMEONE she could talk to on a daily basis. Besides, she had those sliding doors now, so they could respect each others privacy.
But then she reached the room and opened the door, and saw all of his things were gone, specifically the laptop he prized so much, and she knew he had been podded. She closed her eyes a moment, slowly counting to ten, tears springing to her eyes.
Of course.
She took a breath, then wiped her eyes and closed the door, going back down the steps, and quietly closing the door behind her. She wanted to scream, or cry, or throw a fit at least, but none of these things would bring Alex back. So she just wandered the city park for the moment, looking tired.

"I'm sorry. I stopped to discuss things and receive medical advice from Kaya. We found out that another one of our good friends has been repodded, and...well, we were hoping to use the bath upstairs and relax."
He'd let Kaya extend the rest of the invitation.

"And we would like you to join us," Kaya said, taking a breath. "He's doing fine, but I definitely recommend soaking his muscles once a day, hence the bath. Also, I thought it was pretty obvious, but I really miss you!"

Her face grew her tell-tale reddish blush that was worn more often than not as she looked between the two.
"I... ah... y-yeah if... if you'd l-like me to... I j-just finished c-cleaning it not long ago actually..."
no subject
"I'll be good about soaking, I promise. So...hot water with bubbles will be good for us?"
He started to edge toward the stairs one step a a time, pleased that the pain wasn't quite as bad as before. Billy could make it up there, and then the talking would begin in earnest.
no subject
"I'll supply the bubbles, you guys just make sure its nice and hot ok?"
She moved toward Ronnae and whispered into her ear, "Help him if he needs it, ok? I don't want those wounds getting worse."

After a tough effort, he found himself in the bathroom and carefully kneeling to adjust the water. At least he could do this much.
"Our captains were briefed and told to expect a small amount of forces. Their numbers were much higher than what we were prepared for. We did what we could within the ambush to save everyone, and we did, forcing the Ohm back in the process. But none of us escaped unscathed. I was particularly bad---Kaya had to piece my back together again."
no subject
Which was bad, in a lot of ways.
"And luckily, you got to me early, or you would definitely have had to stay at the med bay awhile," Kaya said. "Now I'm making sure you continue with your treatment."
no subject
"I appreciate you caring for him and his wounds Kaya, I'm really happy he has someone who will care for him when I'm not around." It was clear that she was a bit upset, even her sweet voice couldn't hide the internal struggle to not think about the many things that she believed where wrong with all this.
She walked over to the bath and voiced a few musical words in Thalassian as the water became warmer, and a light healing salve was added to the mix of relaxing oils. Once that was done she hugged Billy. For a few moments she didn't say anything other than hold him, her head pressed against his chest during the embrace.

"Always," Billy smiled up at Kaya over Ronnie's shoulder. "She's here to scold me when I get into trouble too, don't worry."
He looked down at the girl in his arms, feeling the fear she'd felt for him. There was no way he'd let that stand. Carefully enough to avoid unnecessary pain and their wrath, he lifted his forearms and secured them around Ronnie's hips. His head found a place nuzzling her hair, voice whispering in her ear. "I'm here, Ronnie. It's all right. I made it through and I'm going nowhere."
After holding her for a long, thoughtful minute, he looked out at the water, its heat starting to become visible. He did not look forward to the struggle to actually get in, but it did look inviting. "Now what were you saying about bubbles, Kaya?"
no subject
"So other than madness on the ship and Billy getting hurt, how have you been Ronnae?"

Luckily, the side of the tub seemed ideally designed for sliding in. He braced his hands against the sides and lowered himself up to his shoulders, letting go of the breath he'd been holding when he felt the bottom.
"I'm just glad you've been safe," Billy whispered up to Ronnae. "We'll be able to spend more time together. I just have to heal, right?"
no subject
"Yes, and you'll do that so long as you let the wounds heal on their own," Kaya said, moving her hands into the water, then grinning and making a water whip that came from nowhere to tick;e Ronnae's sides,

She was very much accustomed to losing people she cared about, but it never hurt any less... And the thought of losing Billy had put her in a defensive mood. She looked away as she tried to keep her emotions in check and sighed. "Your priority right now is to heal, and then relax and take some time to heal further. I'm sure you'll make sure of that as well right Kaya?" She asked in a soft voice.
no subject
"That doesn't mean we can't have enjoyable experiences in the meantime," he called softly, hand extending past the edge of the tub toward her ankle. "We came up here to relax together, didn't we? To attempt to put this behind us and talk."
no subject
She started to make little swirls in the pool for Billy, and then climbed in herself.
"I'm perfectly find with relaxing. I've been stuck in med bay the last few days, I feel like my mind is going to melt, honestly."
no subject
"Relaxing is a good idea. Maybe I can make you guys something nice after you're done with your bath? Or did you both eat already?" She asked curiously as she moved her stool closer and lifted her hoodie up and above her head, folding and putting it aside. She wore a strapless black tube top with a white fishnet shirt underneath.
She took one of the softer sponges, lathering it up and pressing it against Billy's shoulders gently as she began washing him with care. Light soft strokes with the sponge as her fingers trailed behind caressing his skin.
no subject
His head tilted to the side to get a look at her, just the slightest of smiles spared for Ronnie. The first touches prompted involuntary tensing up, but it soon became apparent that the washing didn't hurt. There was a little pink blush on his face---not from his state of undress or the attention, mind, but from imagining how he must look to her. Just the abnormal sensitivity of his skin was telling enough.
"I can't imagine I look much more appealing than shredded garbage."
no subject
She sat at a space, and tried to get herself comfortable. Well, she was anyway, until she heard Billy say that. She turned to him and gave him a look that would definitely have scared a stronger man.
"You take this one Ronnae," Kaya said, an edge of warning in her voice. Ronnae better not let him get away wIth that one.
no subject
"Are you saying that mayhaps I'm blind, or not knowing as to what attractive is? Maybe you think I'm not well versed on what is or isn't appealing... Would that make me nearsighted? Naive maybe?" She pouted slightly, her eyes shimmering a bit as small tears stung at the corner of her eyes.
no subject
"No, love...I didn't mean it that way," he apologized awkwardly, ears bright red by that point. "I was just asking about the injuries. I haven't seen what's left myself. I know Kaya put me back together very well, but with what I've been feeling lately I imagine it has to show."
But the pain was fading now, he thought. He'd finally been able to feel the touches of the water and Ronnie's hand without pain.
no subject
She shook her head. "And you guys together are amazing, ok? You're both very sweet and caring with each other: don't lose sight of that, all right?"
She smiled, and then reached over and kissed them both on the cheek. "It's cute."
no subject
"T-thanks Kaya."
no subject
He blushed even further at that action from his girlfriend, a suspicion rising that he had been had. Well, if she wanted to play, he could play.
"If you're so attracted to me, I'm surprised you're not jumping at the chance to join a whirlpool with me. We could support each other, right?"
