Are you afraid of the Darksoul? [Part 2]

[[OOC: This right here is required reading if you're going to tag. OOC organization is here

For too long the firstborn son of Satan's demonic soul had been trapped, denied his rightful control over Daimon's body. Now, thanks to Mei-Xing, he was finally free. The next course of action was obvious- he would have to take control of one of the beings on this ship. He could start with the vulnerable and move on to the more powerful. He had to act fast before that fool recovered. Fortunately he needn't go very far. The city was full of potential victims.

Now, now. Who to possess first?

Of all the -- the Doctor/Darksoul had to admit, they had incredibly bad luck on this ship. Ridiculous bad luck. Of all the humans that had to make it into the TARDIS, they had to run into one of the actually armed ones.

Like he said. Utterly ridiculous.

That was about as far as the Doctor got. The exorcism started to do its job, the Darksoul being dragged out as a black cloud from the Doctor's mouth. The Doctor would've done anything to be able to just head those couple of feet down the stairs and touch the exorcist. All it would take was a touch. But he couldn't seem to control his/their legs anymore. Those few feet suddenly seemed far away. The exorcist was right: he did need to be caught, because the next thing the Doctor knew he was suddenly falling back down again, sliding off the console. Seemed like his legs had decided enough was enough, someone had to be in charge and the floor was as good a place as any.

There was a final thought of: if Jamie was only closer, we'd fall on him just to prove a point, and then the "they" suddenly turned back into just him.

The Doctor didn't seem to notice if he was back on the floor or caught by one of the humans. Instead he gave a rattling cough, shocked he had his legs (and other bits) back. He wheezed, reaching out and trying to use whatever or whoever was closest for support as he attempted to sit up. He breathed heavily as if he'd participated in a marathon; no, not one of the laughably short ones back on Earth. That could hardly be called a marathon on other planets.

"Aye," replies Jamie, moving up behind the Doctor. He wasn't sure if the Darksoul had noticed him or not, but even with everything that had happened, he wasn't about to let the Time Lord simply crash to the ground - which he knew was a very real possibility, once the Darksoul left.

So he helps catch the Doctor, trying his best to make sure that neither of them wind up any more injured in the process. There's a moment where the Scot thinks that the Doctor is simply going to collapse on top of him, but then things seem to resolve themselves. It's typical, he thinks, that the Doctor's already trying to get up after all that. Stubborn man. Doesn't know when he should stay put.

"I've got ye, Doctor," comes Jamie's voice then, muffled a little by the helmet. "Don't try to get up just yet, aye?"

Paco breathed a sigh of relief. "Told you," he said to the guy with the freaky-weird gun. Normally, he wouldn't mouth off at someone who was pointing any kind of gun at him, but he was pretty sure that this guy wasn't going to shoot him in the head. "Can I get up now? I want to get my stick back."

Medic didn't even attempt to hide his confusion on just what had been going on there. But he did put away his weapons, only to scratch the back of his head for a moment. Probably he was the one who had hit his head after all. Shaking his head and producing a mildly annoyed "...ach." the man turned and left, leaving this bunch of weird people to themselves.
